Great but requires caution
What do you like best about the product?
Notion AI has been a tremendous help, but I need options (even pay more), to keep my data. Is of little business use, if my confidential data is used to train a model.
What do you dislike about the product?
The text editor often feels clunky. I would appreciate a more fluet experience like Quip or Medium. Oftentimes my intents, for example to copy/paste a selection, is completely miss understood, and that never happens at other Markdown based editors such as Quip. I do get tho, that Notion is much more powerful in its capabilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly cross-platform knowledge base. AI is now nice to have. But of little use, as I cant use business data as input

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of organization, and particularly the ability to view large quantities of information in a variety of ways quickly. I primarily use notion to coordinate my work projects, and as a video production company some of these projects are on retainers (like a podcast) and are very sizeable/long-term projects. The ability to move between kanban, calendar, gantt, and table views quickly and efficiently helps me keep everything organized and on track. Integrating AI has been excellent for kickstarting brainstorms, generating solutions quickly on-set or in post production, and skipping some of the "busy work" portions of my task list.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web-only nature of Notion makes the mobile apps a bit of a chore to use, particularly when trying to navigate a large database. Scrolling is often misinterpreted as selecting a field for data entry, and it's very difficult to get the app to understand when I am trying to "press and hold" to reorder blocks vs when I am trying to scroll vs when I am trying to enter data. As it specifically relates to notion ai, the biggest hurdle is, I believe, a limitation of using GPT 3.0, which is that I often receive incorrect answers when asking for complex (the most important) solutions. For example, I have four times prompted for code solutions and all 4 implementations have been wrong, even when I followed up with the ai by describing the error and asking it to check it's own code. When asking the ai to brainstorm 10 ideas of something, it will sometimes brainstorm the same 3 things repeating. In addition, sometimes I am trying to use the AI to parse a transcript (ie "summarize this transcript and include action items") and it won't let me select the whole transcript. It appears ai processing is limited to a certain number of blocks or characters, and that limit is far below the amount of characters in any substantial transcript, so this functionality which I would use weekly isn't available to me. In the same vein, it is hard to figure out the proper way to have the ai give me an answer relating to one block of code, vs everything on the page, vs ignoring the page - for example, sometimes I'm brainstorming ideas for something and have an unrelated idea and just want an ai block to pursue it before I forget the thought, but because it is trying to include everything on the page so far, it can't actually do the unrelated processing request. Other times, in the other direction, I wish AI could process the other pages in a database. For example, one of the podcasts I manage is a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I have a database with information about characters, locations, major events, and so on. It would be great to embed that database on a page and then be able to ask the AI a question about "what a character might choose for interior decorating" and the ai be able to use database to link the character, the location, and the major events that might influence that decision.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing vast arrays of data, project management and team coordination, punctuality, kickstarting the preproduction process for a project, bypassing boring/tedious work.
AI Writing Assistant
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Notion is its flexibility. I can customize it to suit my needs by creating my own templates, databases, and workflows. It also integrates with my other apps like Google Drive, Slack, and Trello, making it easy to collaborate with others.
Notion's user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. It has a clean and modern design that is pleasing to the eye. Moreover, it is available on all platforms, including desktop, web, and mobile devices.
The new AI writing assistant has been a great help to my workflow, especially when it comes to writing a first draft that I can develop further.

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if I could have a few more options to change the typeface.
I would also like a file and folder set up on the left navigation bar for better organisation of files.

AI writing assessment
What do you like best about the product?
Rewriting with AI makes it easy to construct a technical document
What do you dislike about the product?
Once AI revised selected blocks of texts/paragraphs, I wish it automatically pastes under the original without asking what to do next - at least give users an option to fix the bext behavior.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a non-native English speaker, notion helps tremendously in writing documents and papers. Sometimes I had to try two or three attempts to find the best revision that conveys my thought closest, but most of the time Notion AI does its job.
Very efficient for doing work
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how customizable you can sort your work and personal life.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have trouble finding a platform where I can plan all my work and personal life.
Notion AI helps me write emails with appropriate tones and check for typos.
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is like an electronic extension of my brian. It helps me organize and track projects and assignments. No waiting time when you want to take down some ideas or notes immediately.
What do you dislike about the product?
That its templates are hard to learn. I know Notion has a lot of amazing template but I'm having a hard time understanding the best way to use them. sometimes the format on my computer is different from the format on my phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Answering internal and external emails and also brainstorming ideas for presentations or short reviews. I'm spending less time dealing with emails stuff and can really focus on important projects.
Just when you thought Notion couldn't get any better
What do you like best about the product?
It's the capability to do more than my brain does. It keeps me organized and creative and expressive and private. I love the community and how there is so much to learn and yet so so simple to navigate. The AI was just the cherry on top.
What do you dislike about the product?
Free writing on Notion is annoying because everything is formed into little boxes to encompass the text of that line. It's useful, but when I want to write or copy or paste in, the formatting is structured to something I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization, time management, creativity blocks. Notion has helped me save time but creating my own dashboard for basically everything and anything in my life.

Notion: The best tool for note taking and knowledge sharing
What do you like best about the product?
Notion databases. They by far the best thing about them and their customiseability means that you can organise information however you like:
- Boards
- Lists
- Timelines
As far as I know, nothing comes close to it. We were in confluence last year and moved to notion. I don't think confluence had something like that at the time.

What do you dislike about the product?
