User-Friendly with Excellent Integration, Minor Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Notion is very user-friendly and that there are many modules you can use within Notion itself. You can also integrate certain apps that you're already using, like Google Drive and Google Documents. It's pretty easy to set up, mainly I just had to figure out where to place my documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest problem that I have with Notion is that the spreadsheets and databases aren't as sortable compared to something like Google Spreadsheets. I would love to be able to use formulas like Google in Notion. That's one of the main reasons why I still use Google Spreadsheets for a lot of my spreadsheet work.

I use Notion to classify documents, take notes, include strategy documentation, and whiteboard my thoughts. It's a hub for accessing team briefs, enhancing collaboration.

Versatile Tool with Excellent Functionality, Lacks Mobile Friendliness
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion both at work and for personal purposes. I love the way it utilizes databases, allowing me to go into such detail and depth. Its functionality really stands out to me. Also, I appreciate the clean UI, as it helps me stay consistent as a user. Setting it up was very easy for me since I used it in my personal life before.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find the mobile app user-friendly compared to the desktop app and browser, and it actually demotivates me from using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for organizing my time, prioritizing tasks, and storing information as a second brain and knowledge database.
Efficient Document Management with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I think the thing I like the most about Notion is that once you set up your workflow, it's very easy to use and get back to. Creating all the templates and then duplicating them and filling in the details is fairly easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think cataloging could definitely be improved. The left side of the screen is something I do not understand how it's being organized. I can search for documents, but I need to know what I'm searching for exactly; otherwise, it becomes chaos. From a document management standpoint, I think things could definitely be improved. Another thing is that anything which is landscape is very hard to do on Notion. I find myself going back to Google Sheets fairly often because it's very hard to do anything which is landscape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to manage all the different documents I create and keep templates handy to create documents that fit my work needs.
Flexible and Personalized Campaign Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion's flexibility and personalization. It's great that I'm able to design views the way I want, and I appreciate the ability to lock certain functions for guests and viewers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the database needs more functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize campaigns in home pages and databases. Its flexibility lets me design views as I want and also lock some functions for guests and viewers.
Customization and Shareability at Core, Search Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I love Notion's customization and shareability. I enjoy building pages, using widgets, and different inputs to create something from nothing and being able to quickly replicate pages. The filtering function is very helpful for list building. Pages can be private, sharable, exported into landing pages, favorited, and grouped, which makes it very handy for creating external-facing deliverables.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it’s just me but it can be flooded with a lot of things and hard to find specifics since various users are creating resources on Notion. Our HQ is in France, and a lot of the content/context is in French and has never been translated or converted. Because things are worded differently in English and French, it's hard to just search and find things I need. Things being hard to find is probably the biggest issue I've had. Smart search is helpful but maybe making it smarter based off language guidelines. Inputting some settings that allow things to show up or translate easier from one language to another in the search would help rather than trying to Google translate and play the guessing game.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is an easy-to-access platform that everyone can contribute to, offering layers of organization for various file types and needs. It aids in building pages with widgets, filtering lists, and sharing or exporting pages, making it handy for creating external-facing deliverables.
Flexible and User-Friendly, But Offline Mode Needs Work
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the flexibility of Notion when it comes to adding new things and changing the text type to any toggle or heading. This feature helps me maintain a proper document for my career as a software engineer, and it helps me a lot. The initial setup was very comfortable and easy to understand. The interface is very clear with a better UI/UX, making it kind of well put together and quite nice for my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Notion doesn't perform well for its offline mode. It would be more helpful if there was an offline mode where we could store and work on documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to maintain proper product documentation, and its flexibility helps me organize and update my documents effectively, which is essential in my work as a software engineer.
Automation Powerhouse with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion to create policies, procedures, learning databases, and automatic tools that my team uses daily. I like the interconnectivity it offers and the automations. I'm able to set processes that end with sending out an email and track ticket completion efficiently. I also appreciate the variety of fields and tasks that can be performed in Notion. The initial setup was easy for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle with text formatting in Notion, and I'd like more options to build complex automations, like having multiple outcomes using the same automation box. Also, I wish there were more types of users and permissions because the current plans feel too restrictive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for creating policies, procedures, and automating processes. It solves email automation and project tracking issues, enhancing management and efficiency. The connectivity and versatility in handling various tasks are invaluable.
Powerful Collaboration, Needs Simpler Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface and I love the databases in Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to use the templates effectively. Notion is almost so advanced that I'm not sure of all the capabilities to help automate my workflows. I wish there were easier templates or tutorials that could help set up shortcuts automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps with centralized documentation, organization, and action item tracking.
