Kills several other tools and replacing Notion will be unimaginable once you get going

  • September 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It blends modern contend and does embeds very nicely Bookmarks and YoTube links now have a good weighting to them.

Crosslinking content is a delight.

The synchronisation is the best I have seen it's been flawless for me, I use three to five different devices and machines every day and this is the glue for my content.

The seamless Emoji and Custom Icon feature for topics is surprisingly powerful and helpful in helping you find your notes, particularly during the searches.

The Web Clipper is pretty well behaved.

The management of the complexity of rich inline tables is very good it's powerful but not frustrating or intimidating.

Guest Collaboration is more important than ever and I like the Notion approach to managing this.

The way Content is Nested is very slick you will never want to go back to complex folder structures.

The thought of ever using Sharepoint again over this tool would be a deal-breaker.
What do you dislike about the product?
Linux needs a full client.

Some of the keyboard shortcuts could be shortened a little more.

Really needs the Official API released.

Defaults and Templates are not the best but they work well enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing Bookmarks at scale is virtually impossible to do well now it's seamless.

Have retired Evernote which was not much fun to manage 10,000 plus notes in

Very quick to create content and then moving it around later is a joy.

Good for compiling research, and planning.

Flip the script and you are creating Documentation as you go without making it a chore to do afterwards.

I truly LOVE this product, company and people

What do you like best about the product?
At optemizaiton.com, Notion is everything. I manage my projects, tasks, deliverables, meetings, people, organizations, content, websites on this platform. It incredibly unique its lack of structure, which allows the users to create their own hierarchy that is always evolving with the organization. Beyond that, there is an incredible sense of design and a welcoming and king community.
What do you dislike about the product?
The byproduct of a team that meticulously cares about every nook and cranny of the product is slow development. As of August 2020, the API has been alluded and discussed for nearly three years. A lot of people find that and the lack of offline mode really frustrating. Beyond that, my clients often find themselves overwhelmed with the open nature of the product, so you might need to find and digest a lot of resources before setting up a highly productive space for yourself or your company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is the main hub of all business information for optemization.com. Finding content is supremely easy and my teammates have never had difficulty figuring where a specific project or deliverable is.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you find yourself overwhelmed with the possibilities, consider hiring an implementation consultant or heading over to the community pages on Reddit, Discord or starting a conversation on Twitter.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is like my personal library or archive. Everything I want to save—quotes, articles, photos, whatever you can think of—I have stored and organized in my Notion.

I especially love reading lists and Notion is perfect for aggregating articles and resources for learning and sharing my research. It's also incredibly easy to use and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion is so well thought out, it's hard to pick something to dislike. I'd love to see white label pages and custom domains.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to have Dropbox folders filled with PDFs (even PDFs of webpages) and thousands of links saved in Pocket. Now, I have everything neatly organized in Notion. It's like my second brain.

Organize your life

  • July 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a person who has many ideas and tasks in the day, I can become very bird-brained and something always escapes me. But this new app is incredible. It is a very complete system to organize every aspect of your life, not only at work but also on a personal level.

Integrate EVERYTHING. It is like several apps in one, it allows you to:
Make to-do lists, shopping
Reminders
Notes from some book, seminar, class
Has a calendar to add appointments and to-do
Have up to the daily tracker

What I like the most is that you can use templates from others, and thus use them to organize yourself. The best productivity app I've ever used.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first I must admit that it was difficult for me to understand how it works, you have to build everything from scratch and it can take a long time. However, using templates from other people alleviates this discomfort a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In times where everything happens so fast and on the internet all trends and potential clients go super fast, this app has greatly increased my productivity and organization not only at work, but also in my personal life.

I honestly couldn't find a balance between work, with all the things that I have to do in the day and make a place for myself.
Now I don't forget everything and I have become more productive at work. And since everything is integrated, it saves me a lot of time
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the free version allows you to create up to a thousand blocks, although the price is really cheap and you will see how you can organize your day to day in a better way that will make your day much longer and more productive.

Your Business and Life - All In One Location!

  • June 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact I can keep my entire life and business in one single app, and that I can access it via desktop or mobile. The price is amazing. $5/month for a single user. It's like having a bullet journal in digital form that I can carry around with me everywhere. I can create sections for any facet of my life: work, home, personal, and more. It's excellent!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some areas leave a little bit to be desired in terms of design and layout. I would like the ability to have a top-to-bottom kanban board versus a left-to-right one. I would also love to see the option to color code calendar events, tables in spreadsheets, and cards in the kanban view for us people who are visual thinkers and organizers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to keep random notes in various Notepad files to the point where my entire Documents folder was full of txt files, plus physical notebooks and more. Notion condenses all of that into one location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of their template/page library as well as their tutorials. Also, consider using the cover photo and icon options to jazz up your workspaces.

Absolutely essential for any business

  • May 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's the single most important tool for any startup or business. You don't realise how much information there is flowing through a business until you see it all laid out in a wiki like Notion. It's a super flexible system and everybody we got on it loves using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes might be a little too complex for new people to get their heads round to how it works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing and organising company knowledge and projects.

Beyond note taking, possibilities are many!

  • April 25, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I switched from evernote and Notion was a refreshing, the layout, nesting notes and the elements within the notes. I've moved all my documentation and meeting notes here from paid Evernote. Now sharing notes with clients and my team is a breeze. I especially like the elements such as headers and intuitive tables that have things easy. I'm presently trying the wiki function.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's taking time to learn all the features, on-boarding could be better (even for clients as well)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation and note taking for my organizations and sharing notes to clients and team as well (meetings notes, plans etc)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can use it for your
1. Team wiki
2. Client process documentation
3. Client meeting notes
4. Client wiki
