A fantastic and versatile note taking and organisation app
What do you like best about the product?
Can be tailored to any function that you choose - from note taking, organisation and planning, to even mind map ideas... It is suitable for anyone, not only students
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve, taking a couple hours to grasp the hang of different blocks and functionalities which Notion is capable of. On iPads using touch is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion combines organisation and note taking into one - I struggled to find an app to suit me because I wanted a specific layout for my notes and To- Do list that I could design myself
Notion has completely changed the way I work
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the tool is super flexible. I can create so many different types of content within one page, pages within pages, spreadsheets, etc. - and organise it all in a way better way than any other tool that I have ever used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cant customise the font, and colours are limited. You can't comment on cells on a database, and the text formatting is difficult in cells in a database (no bullets for example).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for knowledge management, project management, planning (etc.) and everyone in my team can collaborate on it. I like it because my engineer, my CEO, my community manager etc. can all use it with ease and there is a very small learning curve.
Best internal documentation I've tried so far!
What do you like best about the product?
What I really like in Notion is the ability to create very quickly and easily nice and collaborative wiki pages. All our company data and knowledge is centralized in Notion and accessible for each team.
The database/view feature is also great and allows us to display one source of truth in different pages with different layout/presentations.

What do you dislike about the product?
On my opinion, the only missing thing within Notion is an internal analytics dashboard.
It would be very great to see which pages/sections are the most viewed or modified.
Also we cannot create a graph from a database, but some third-party (paying) plugins offer this feature.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we had before Notion was that our internal documentation and data were spread around multiple places (Dropbox, Google Drive, Confluence..), with no central access/directory.
Notion replaced all these apps we were using and now centralizes all our company knowledge and data in one place. Easily accessible/searchable for every team and with a simple access control feature.

Notion for work and for play
What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility and ease. I use a lot of applications for planning, tracking, scheduling, and completion of projects for home and work. I wanted a platform solution that was all in one, and while Notion is not there yet I do believe we are on track for me to offboard almost all of the other systems I use to monitor my life and work tasks, activities, and inventory. I love Notion so much, I quit Airtable and Clickup and have no intention of rejoining those platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to use formulas that are more complex and create recurring task lists and to reference other databases. This capability is not yet available, there are some discussions on future abilities and integrations I am excited to see where the app goes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Specifically for work, it holds the documents for project managing, how-to guides etc. I use it to track the progress of my teams through implementation and keep track of any issues and lessons I learn along the way.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing about Notion that i dislike, just there are a few minor issues which are worth noticing & i believe the amazing team at notion will work on them:
- Live Collaboration and Pages Synchronization can be improved as updates made offile sometimes donot get synced properly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The notion is solving our workflow problems right from managing databases to managing content to even creating customer/Investor decks, We use the notion on daily basis for more than dozens of routine tasks. Instead of using multiple saas tools like Jira for managing tasks/logs of engineering team, CRM for sales & marketing team, We prefer to manage our most of the work on Notion by using various freely avialble templates.
My Second Brain
What do you like best about the product?
I use notion to organize my entire life, Both personal and professional
What do you dislike about the product?
That most people think that it is not intuitive and that the learning curve is very long
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps you organize your entire life through Pages, blocks, and databases
Great features, the UI is super simple yet sleek. Makes for good overviews less decision paralysis
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to make templaes and streamline good worflow across departments
What do you dislike about the product?
That you still haven't rolled out the Teams sidebar function and not that many elaborate widget integrations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow process was crucial for my new team, we had to develop our process from scratch and this felt the moat user friendly compared to JIRA what other departments use
Absolutely great
What do you like best about the product?
How you can fully create your own workspace to suit all your needs! Every page allows you to either create or use a ready made template which makes organising so easy
What do you dislike about the product?
I use it for work and I would like if there was a way to create tabs or select options which I could use over many pages, we have a number of clients and I create a colour code system which I have to recreate on new pages each time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping on track with everything, I have introduced it to work and as a Project Manager I find it really helpful to assign tasks, keep on track of timelines and create personal client pages
Notion has changed the way I organise my life, personal and professional alike
What do you like best about the product?
What I love about Notion is how flexible it is to every single need of mine. Do I need to create a database of tasks? Check. Do I need to create a list to keep track of the books I'd like to read? Check. Do I simply need a place where I can dump information and notes for future reference? Notion does that too.
It's empowered me to centralise all my information and create a hub that I can use to manage my entire life. There's simply nothing like it.

What do you dislike about the product?
Notion is amazing for managing projects and for its flexibility, but there are a few things that I've encountered as a Team plan user. The learning curve is a bit steep for new users; it takes a lot of time to set up, even with templates; and the lack of recurring tasks is a great downside to anyone managing a repeated set of tasks over a long period of time. Database templates are a good workaround, but they're not perfect themselves.
While I think the former two items are a matter of personal taste and commitment, and I don't necessarily suffer because of those, I would really love to see recurring tasks sooner rather than later! It would change the way I use Notion completely, both at work and in my personal life.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping me optimise my workflow and get rid of repeated information across my WFH workspace. Being remote means that there's a lot of data that needs to be accessed all the time, and coordinating a team can become cumbersome. Notion is helping me and my colleagues get rid of all that, by making information easy to access and more streamlined across a range of different micro-teams. It's basically helping remove silos!
A platform that finally does everything I want to do in one place.
What do you like best about the product?
I searched a long time for a platform that consolidates all the tools I need such as resource/documentation management and task/project management. I also love Notion's aesthetic.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few database limitations that would be helpful to improve on. For example, being unable to group with rollup properties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has consolidated all the various tools I use into one. I used to use Asana combined with Airtable for resource management and task management, and now I can do it all in one place. I'm also able to customize my task management style to fit my needs.
