Versatile Tool with a Somewhat Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Notion serves as a versatile tool, effectively organizing my personal and professional life, including tasks, projects, and knowledge management. The AI functionality and the variety of customizable blocks are particularly useful, enhancing my productivity by summarizing notes and allowing intuitive organization. I also enjoy how it seamlessly integrates with Google Suite, making it a comprehensive platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it a bit daunting to get started with Notion due to the learning curve. When I first used it, setting up pages was a little difficult because of the wide range of options available, even with the templates. Initially, it felt intimidating as I had to become familiar with the building blocks of the platform. Additionally, I think the AI functionality could be more user-friendly if there were clearer guidance on how to use it effectively, with well-defined use cases presented to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as a versatile tool to organize my life, serving as a central hub for tasks, projects, and knowledge, making my workflow efficient and comprehensive.
Powerful Organization, Daunting Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I love the organization that Notion offers, keeping everything in one place which is very helpful. The use of AI features helps me get through my work efficiently. I also like how Notion can incorporate different elements like calendars and mail, which enhances its functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the setup process of Notion to be quite challenging. It took me a considerable amount of time to get accustomed to it and to figure out what I wanted to achieve using this tool. I had to resort to watching a lot of tutorial videos and engage in troubleshooting to find solutions to the issues I was facing. Despite considering myself technically savvy, I would not describe the onboarding process as straightforward. The introductory phase felt somewhat daunting and overwhelming, which could be intimidating, especially for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Notion keeps all my work in one place, improving my organization and structuring tasks with various integrations like calendar and mail.

The feature that allows you to ask any question about the content in your workspace. Saves a lot of time from looking around.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the process of creating tables quite challenging. Also the discoverability of how to do certain tasks is a bit challenging.

Best for docs and team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Notion combines docs, tasks, and wikis in a single space. It’s easy to create test strategy pages, maintain checklists, and link related dashboards. The templates save time, and the search makes it quick to find older test cases or sprint notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve noticed that once a page gets really packed with embeds, it tends to drag a bit before everything shows up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to maintain test plans, track flaky test investigations, and document automation frameworks. Earlier, our knowledge was scattered across Google Docs and spreadsheets, making it harder to keep things updated. Now, everything is centralized and linked, which improves collaboration with developers and product managers. It’s also helped during onboarding, new testers can go through past retros, setups, and guidelines in one place instead of chasing multiple links.
NOTION - The best app for organising work
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how simple Notion is to start using. When I first tried it, I didn’t need a long setup or training—it just worked, and I could start organizing my notes and tasks right away. Now I use it almost every day, both for personal stuff and for keeping track of my studies/work. It has a lot of features packed into one place, which saves me from jumping between multiple apps. I also like that it connects easily with other tools I already use. Whenever I had questions, the help docs and community support were pretty solid. Overall, it’s flexible, easy to use, and something I rely on regularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel Notion can be a little slow, especially when I’m opening large pages with lots of content. It also takes a bit of time to get used to all the features, since there are so many options. The mobile app works fine, but it doesn’t feel as smooth as the desktop version. These are not deal-breakers, but if the performance was faster and the mobile experience improved, it would be close to perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has really helped me put all my work and personal notes in one place. Before, I was jumping between different apps for tasks, notes, and calendars, and it was messy. Now I can keep my to-do lists, class/work notes, and project plans together, which saves me time and keeps me more organized. It’s also nice that I can share pages with friends or teammates easily instead of sending multiple files back and forth. Overall, it makes staying on top of things a lot simpler for me.
Convenient for SOP Management, Needs UI Simplification
What do you like best about the product?
I find it convenient to manage all SOPs and company information in one place with Notion. I particularly appreciate the ability to create specific folders for different areas and the option to leave comments on SOPs for collaborative editing. This centralized approach simplifies our processes significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how the Notion website presents too much information and options that are overwhelming. It feels cluttered and not user-friendly to my eyes. I'm not always sure which features are relevant or necessary for my company. I think it would be better if they could compact or organize features more effectively based on user needs or purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to centralize information, simplifying SOP creation and management, making it easier to access and organize data across company areas, which enhances workflow and saves time.
