There is a learning curve, especially when building more advanced databases or workflows. It takes some upfront time to set things up the right way, but once established, the payoff is worth it. Occasionally, features feel a little overwhelming for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion allows me to organize complex information and transform it into practical workflows. Rather than having notes, emails, and documents spread out in different places, everything is stored together and linked within a single platform. This has helped boost my productivity, cut down on repeated work, and made it much easier for me to stay focused and organized each day.
Ultimate Organization with Customization Freedom
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion to organize every aspect of my life, from business and school to personal pages, providing me with easy access to all my information. I love the customization features and the ability to generate different forms, as well as the extensive range of templates provided through the community, which enhance its utility. As a self-employed individual managing two ventures, I find the various forms for financial modeling, projections, and inventory management seamless with Notion's AI integration. I've transitioned from using just a basic notes app to Notion's free version, which has been a significant improvement for managing my tasks and projects. The process of downloading and getting started with the software was straightforward, highlighting its user-friendliness, even though not being able to directly copy and paste notes from Apple was a minor inconvenience. Overall, I've been so satisfied with Notion's capabilities that I would rate it a 9 out of 10 in terms of recommending it to a friend or colleague.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the Notion AI does not directly provide what I need, potentially due to an overload of prompts from my end. Also, integrating Notion with other tools is currently difficult, preventing me from fully utilizing its capabilities with my existing setups. Additionally, I encountered challenges in transferring notes directly from Apple's notes app to Notion, as the lack of a direct copy-paste feature meant I had to manually enter information, which was time-consuming.

I love how Notion effectively consolidates all of my data in one place while also making it easily shareable with people outside of the platform, enhancing my project management process. I appreciate Notion's visual appeal and customizability, which allow me to tailor its look to my preferences, making my workspace more enjoyable. The seamless connection between my phone and Mac is another aspect I truly enjoy, as it enables a smooth transition and consistent experience across devices. I also find Notion's cleaner design compelling enough to switch from Google Drive, offering a streamlined and aesthetically pleasing interface.

I find it challenging to customize how images are formatted in Notion. This limitation can be frustrating when trying to create beautifully structured content or presentations. What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the Notion AI feature, which enhances my experience significantly. It allows me to seamlessly access and query any existing documentation within my organization, making the process of finding internal information incredibly fast and efficient. This functionality is especially handy for retrieving both technical and non-technical information, such as guidance on requesting time off, which saves me a substantial amount of time. Additionally, I find that integrating Notion with Slack is beneficial, as it effortlessly grabs information from Slack, simplifying my workflow and making my life easier. Overall, these features make navigating and utilizing internal knowledge resources much more straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that everything is inside Notion. I wish there was more integration. For example, I want to be able to go on my Google Calendar for each meeting and add a Notion template that sets up the meeting notes for that day and attaches it to the meeting. Just more integration with everything I'm working with would be beneficial.

I use Notion for documentation and note-taking, which streamlines my access to both technical and non-technical information. The Notion AI makes retrieving organizational knowledge faster and easier, saving significant time.

Simplicity and ease of use, along with how easy it is to collaborate with colleagues and work on documents and projects in tandem.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes things (knowledge, plans, etc.) get 'lost' in old notion pages or documents if you're not careful with organisation.

Makes project planning very easy, with timelines and project layouts made simple. It also makes cross-team collaboration easy and simple to track project health.
Intuitive and Simple to Use

It's very easy and intuitive to use, it's simple and functional

In my opinion, it would be better if it supported a wider range of integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using notion as a knowledge base, and it is solving the issue of having a place for all knowledge. But it is kinda of messy and the search is not very good.
Easy Access and Audio Recording Make It a Great Confluence Alternative
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it is easy to access all of the different pages and that it can record meetings using audio. This product is really good replacement for confluence. The fact that you can creat Gant charts is useful to PMs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI isn’t the greatest, and it misspells words or will create assumptions based on audio for meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to have one page similar to confluence that will allow for all teams to collaborate efficiently and to get updates quickly, as well as taking meeting notes that everybody can collaborate on.

I greatly love the feature of Notion that allows me to sort my daily tasks by priority. It helps me organize my work efficiently and increase my productivity. Additionally, I appreciate Notion's ability to record my important meetings, which allows me to make a quick summary. This feature is particularly useful for keeping track of important discussions with clients or colleagues. By using Notion, I notice an improvement in my speed of action and better management of my tasks. The integration of Notion with my other tools also went smoothly, as it was easy to approve with the help of our IT system.

I love using Notion as our single source of truth in the organization because it helps everyone stay aligned and serves as a central place to organize strategy and goals. I particularly appreciate that Notion keeps the focus on content rather than worrying too much about formatting, which means our team spends less time formatting slides and more time thinking about the content they want to display. The database templates are a feature I use often, especially for meeting agendas, as they save time by allowing me to generate new agendas without having to build them from scratch. Additionally, the initial setup of Notion for our team was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the search functionality in Notion lacking because it can be difficult to find the right page I'm looking for. This can be frustrating and time-consuming. Additionally, there is a need for a slides feature in Notion that allows for more visual presentations to be created and stored within the platform. This would enhance the versatility of Notion for presentations and more visually-oriented tasks. Lastly, I experienced challenges with the Enterprise AI search feature, as it has taken a significant amount of time to implement successfully, potentially delaying the benefits it offers.

Flexible Platform with Great Collaboration Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion functions as our school's operating system, managing a wide array of tasks such as projects, task tracking, SOPs, collaborative spaces, and even serving as a CRM for students. It's amazing to have everything in one centralized place, and I find it easy to customize the content according to our school's specific needs. The AI tool is particularly impressive, efficiently performing the tasks I set for it. Notion's flexibility stands out, and new teachers find it generally straightforward to learn, which greatly eases the onboarding process. I am also thrilled with the various built-in tools, including automation and the ability to create external-facing forms, making Notion a truly powerful platform. The interface is exceptionally clean, facilitating easy organization and retrieval of information as long as the team maintains good digital hygiene. Additionally, integrating Google Suite and Slack with Notion improves seamless synchronization and information retrieval during collaborations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am very much looking forward to having limited view permissions. Currently, it's not possible to limit student or parent views on files while sharing real-time updates. Although this feature is reportedly coming soon, I am cautious about deploying it until it's well-tested by users. Additionally, without good digital hygiene from all team members, Notion's databases and libraries can become cluttered, or worse, break functionalities. If the user permissions could be adjusted to mitigate this issue, it would be beneficial. Lastly, while I rate Notion highly, to fully utilize its capabilities in our context, having an on-team expert or a consultant is almost necessary.

I use Notion as a comprehensive tool for managing school functions like projects, tasks, and CRM. It centralizes everything, is customizable, and its AI works as expected. The platform's flexibility and integration with Google Suite and Slack streamline collaboration.
