    Information Technology and Services

A must have tool for Product Teams

  • March 13, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about ProductBoard is that product teams can have in one tool all information needed to develop a better product. Customer feedback from tools like Intercom you can send directly to their platform, for example. I remember having to find out feature requests was easy, I just had to add some filters to my search, group the contacts and start analyzing who were they and what they were requesting. With this information it was easy to share with the rest of the product team and even the rest of the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I used it they didn't have a public roadmap that we could share easily. Not sure if they have it now (I think so). It was a problem because in order to present what we were doing to the marketing and sales team, I had to log in and use my own account. It was not a big of a problem, but sometimes you just want a place that you can share without risking exposing data that you're not supposed to share.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a place to keep all product development information and keep all people working with the product aligned. This was the main reason we started using ProductBoard. It was so good that we started using it more and more as source of information for product discovery as well, as we could gather user data within ProductBoard. It helped us develop a better product for sure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They have a nice feature to tag and match conversations to specific ideas (e.g. features you are developing) you are managing in ProductBoard. My recommendation is to plan and think carefully the naming of theses tags so you can keep organized. You don't want to have different tags that are meant to be the same thing because it makes it harder to organize information.

A great way to track your user feedback and feature requests

  • February 12, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which I can pull in user feedback from multiple locations. Including a Chrome app for those areas that aren't supported (really handy for phone call feedback.

On top of this the way you can then see an overview of all your feature request by date and importance is really handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel its lacking in reporting. Often I find the overview a bit cumbersome unless I'm willing to spend extended periods of time manually updating too many things on occasion.

A better approach would to include some form of reporting and visualization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding what our user base wants. From features to improve our platform to new integrations and bugs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a great way of viewing overviews of your users request and issues as a whole either on a weekly, monthly or annual basis then get involved.

ProductBoard Review

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of PB is the applicability of it as a tool towards our company's discovery stage for product development. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES! Its major function is to assign new ideas and provide feedback. Another thing I particularly enjoy about PB is its user score board feature which it bases on frequency and priority.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although product board makes it easy to collect feedback from conversations from lets say.. an intercom, for example, a more simple and embedded format may be more appealing to users - as my colleagues and myself have discussed during our team meeting after implementing the use of the product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PB helps a lot with connecting feedback to ideas and saving our team time when it comes to evaluating the impact of our products by way of maintaining a link between customer feedback and features we have tried to promote.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are so many other programs like productboard out there, however, there are few that have as many in-built features for us to utilize all in one program. Outstanding!

It's not about the number of features, but how it all works together

  • August 01, 2018

What do you like best about the product?
productboard (and it seems to be written as such - all lower caps!) is a Product Manager's dream. It stands out from the other product management tool by how insights can be mapped to product ideas and features. This is crucial as it reminds us why we are creating these features based on insights gathered from multiple sources. Its integration with Jira also allows me to easily push features from productboard to Jira with bi-drectional sync. The product portal makes it easy for us to share our product plans with our users and stakeholders and get their votes as well, making it an effective channel to gather product feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be nice if it works on a mobile either through a native app or simply a decent mobile optimised website as it really does not work on the go right now..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A great system to manage product ideation (receiving, consolidating), curation towards features, initial product backlog development, to a degree, release planning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have not found any other tool that provides the ability to map insights (ideas) to features.

It works really well. I would recommend it to any organization
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing I dislike at this point. It works well.

    Education Management

Okay for certain companies

  • June 25, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There wasn't a whole lot my team and I liked about this product.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was clunky and complicated. It took forever to find what you were looking for and then when you found it, you couldn't figure out how to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see how come companies would benefit with major projects. Not right for education.

Good tracking, needs commitment

  • April 18, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like having a tracking system in place to know what our product team is working on and to follow suggestions for our product through the development process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is not very intuitive, and it can take time to figure out what certain actions will do. I also dislike that it requires a lot of commitment to the product for it to work. Everyone at your company needs to really be into using this product or it will not function properly for you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this to track suggestions and projects that our product and development teams are working on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you're ready to push the implementation hard within your team so that it is used properly and efficiently

Nice tool to capture customer needs

  • March 30, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is quite easy to use and is very visual. Most of the things needed to capture and organize customer needs are there.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm part of a team of Product Managers and Product Owners. The tool fits my needs perfectly, but it lacks the ability to do project tracking. Maybe there is some integration with other tools like TargetProcess, but I was not able to find it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us categorize and prioritize features for our product in a data driven way

What do you dislike about the product?
Printing of roadmap is quite poor, integration with Jira could also be improved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organisation of our products roadmap

Simple tool for Visualizing your Product Roadmap

  • January 03, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive to use with very little admin. Easy UI allows us to offer access to sales team for field level feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most cloud apps reporting is very limited
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use ProductBoard to keep the sales team in sync and also key customers. We also use it to capture feedback from our sales team of what they are hearing from customers in the field.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good high level tool that can be consumed by non dev end users.
