Gumlet was an Incredibly amazing Video hosting and branded streaming Solution
What do you like best about the product?
The Entreprise customization level , intergrated video security and privacy,very fast streaming, high quality streming and hosting , CTA , SEO,CDN ,DRM features.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we haven't identified any drawbacks with this product. However, our only concern revolves around the long-term sustainability of its quality. This concern arises from the fact that many SaaS startups tend to discontinue their services after a couple of years due to insufficient financial support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No evident problems noticed so far .
Good enough to replace Vimeo for us!
What do you like best about the product?
What we like most about Gumlet is it's nice branding options for the player as well as it's Call to Action button feature.
We have used Gumlet for landing pages both on and off our Shopify store. The branding features (logo placement and color of player controls) have enabled us to embed videos in a really nice way with our Shopify them.
The videos are superfast to load, we are really happy with the performance.

What do you dislike about the product?
The backend takes a little getting used to but overally is clean and functional. New features are still coming but we can see a consistent development velocity so pretty happy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gumlet meets our needs for high performance video hosting for multiple websites and brands. It has enabled us to move away from Vimeo and poor performance of hosting videos on Wordpress sites.
Powerful video streaming
What do you like best about the product?
They have an API, so it is usable when automating processes. When a video is uploaded to Gumlet, they store a bunch of different versions of the same video, and delivers the optimal video version automatically to the video consumer.
What do you dislike about the product?
So for no complaints. But I have only been using it for a month or two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They store all my videos, and deliver them from CDN (closest to the end user) which helps with load time. They also take care of creating different quality outputs so the user can watch in a suitable quality. They provide an API that (I hope) will be able to receive videos after they are created them in another software that I am building myself.

Gumlet could improve if there were more options for sorting and organizing content. Gumlet could improve if it videos could be added to a playlist. I believe they are working on these features.

What do you like best about the product?
For my use cases, the best thing about Gumlet is the simpe/powerful interface and ability to easily enable encryption on videos. Having HLS encryption and Dash DRM is great for hosting for online course material to make sure video content is protected. Gumlet overall is an affordable option that delivers high quality results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apple FairlyPlay encryption requires a Apple Developer account. It would be great if it were a little easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streaming video encryption and protection is often not simple or affordable. Gumlet make video protection easy to setup and a very affordable option to use. HLS and DASH DRM are simple to enable on video content and great for paid online course content.

What do you like best about the product?
Clean UI and well-organized dashboard for your team managing the media assets.
Good performance in delivering the video and media assets.
We also heavily use the customized player that Gumlet provides.
The analytics information is useful and relevant for your team to be able to further fine-tune how your users are consuming your content.

What do you dislike about the product?
Gumlet platform doesn't offer the CNAMEs included in the higher product subscription tiers. It should include large number of CNAMEs to make this product more useful and relevant for agencies etc.

Serving large volumes of media and content library in a predictable and manageable platform.
Time to serve first bytes and first 10 seconds of video should be higher performing for the user engagement.

Feature packed at affordable cost
What do you like best about the product?
They offer DRM and HLS encryption, practically preventing piracy. I also like the iframe player, fast and snappy
What do you dislike about the product?
I think 4k streaming sometimes is a little slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was looking for an affordable solution to move my videos from vimeo. Youtube and other hosts are very prone to piracy. Gumlet provides HLS and DRM encryption, virtually making piracy impossible. The video play back is snappy. They provide multiple options for video display including iframe. I am liking this platform very much.
