Gumlet is great!
What do you like best about the product?
I used Vimeo before but Gumlet is way better to host my course videos. It is a Vimeo on steroids. The support team is also helpful and super professional!
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding CTA to the end of the videos is pretty limited (not so customizable).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating courses and protecting the valuable content for illegal sharing is the main feature which I use. Gumlet is perfect for this.
Excellent DRM Video services
What do you like best about the product?
From my experience, implementing Widevine DRM has been quite easy in terms of video security features. One other comment is that I appreciate how they have made the video encryption process simpler. Instead of struggling with multiple DRM systems individually, they have put together Widevine, PlayReady and FairPlay into one package, making it much simpler to secure video content on various platforms and devices.
What matters the most is how easily they have automated the encoding process to their video workflow. After you have configured your DRM policies, it is more or less a set and forget system. Every video is positioned and secured in accordance with your requirements and key management is out of the picture. This has allowed our team to gain back a lot of time we would have spent manually overseeing and managing encryption tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?
Without a doubt, one of the most annoying things about Gumlet has been their CNAME charging policy. To say that custom domain support is an extra feature does not come off quite right, as it is pretty much the norm for most CDN and media service providers. This does feel like its pricing policy is making a segmentation for a feature that really should be given on a broad based understanding.
As irritating as this is, the other system which bothers me is how they charge me for storage space. It seems particularly inefficient as it relates to their method of storage in relation to video deletion. With storage on the library, the video removal option is always available, so whenever I delete a video in my library, in a few seconds I expect to see that storage updated. But there is a very annoying lag in their system. In this phase, you virtually pay for the storage that is sitting idle. This type of issue reverses the situation, particularly when you are working with a gigantic media library and require figures for the current storage space in relation to cost.

The most important challenge it addresses is the seamless fulfilling requirements of the video and image use across a variety of devices as well as network situations. Previously, we used to face the challenge of handling several renditions of our media archives for disparate situations. Now, we have this one hub which automatically takes care of transcoding, adaptive streaming, and sends the correct version for the end user depending on their device and network. If someone is on the go using a mobile phone on ratty 3G, then that particular person will get the version optimized for him. On the other hand, if a desktop user on a strong connection is requesting for the version. This all happens without us needing to handle the different versions of the same file.
Another major issue that could be resolved using Gumlet has been the headache of storage management and cost control. Of course, there is that slight delay when removing videos in terms of the update of the storage cost which can be annoying but turns out to be a penny shocking because of how cost-effective it is when managing media. The automated optimization means unnecessary large files do not get served, thus not wasting bandwidth.
The platform also catered for the uniformity disruptions we faced across our web properties. Ever since we started using Gumlet, there has been a consistent delivery of media content across all sites owned by us. This is critical in protecting the brand quality across various platforms while enhancing the user experience.

Easy to use interface, powerful security to your videos, and affordable price
What do you like best about the product?
Gumelt's user interface clean and it is easy to get started. It provides multiple layers of security for your videos so that people can not download it or do screen recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gumlet has a dark mode but you can not switch it on or off. It automatically turns on based on your system settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me Gumlet solves two main problems. I am a course creator, I want to host my videos and also prevent them from downloading. Secondly, I create sales videos for my landing pages and funnels. If I host them on YouTube, it shows ads in the end. Gumlet solves both of my problems.

What do you dislike about the product?
I am not really disliking anything as compared to other platforms but maybe they could add a feature where a user could loop a chapter on a video, it would not be used very often but would be great for exercise videos that have a sequence, so user could loop a sequence they need to do more of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can send an email with a thumbnail to someone of the video which they can click to go to watch the video.
also can embed videos to a webpage

Gumlet is exactly what we were looking for!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature, and the reason I went with Gumlet, is its DRM encryption. I run a web design agency, and one of the services we offer is video editing. Not too long ago, I discovered a website using a video we had created and edited for a client. This other web designer had downloaded the video from my client's website and used it on the site he was creating for their client—without the client’s knowledge. They didn’t even bother changing the file name, making it even more obvious that it had been stolen from my client's website. I had my client quickly send them a cease-and-desist letter, and they removed the video immediately; however, I kept wondering if there were other web design agencies using our videos without permission. Gumlet provides me the peace of mind that our competitors can no longer download and use our work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. The dashboard is straightforward and support is always quick to reply if you have any questions or if you don't understand how something works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of the websites my web design agency creates include fullscreen background videos, which consume a ton of bandwidth—especially on high-traffic sites. Gumlet solves this problem by hosting and streaming these videos. On top of that, it protects your media and is GDPR compliant, which is crucial for my agency.
Avoid YouTube adds by streaming via Gumlet
What do you like best about the product?
Avoids the YouTube adds that are now becoming embeded into vidoes, thus not being removed by ad blocking software, and possible inappropriate for my audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
'Action' goes to 'Delete Asset'. Why not have more options, or just 'Delete Asset' instead of 'Action'.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remove adds, that might not be removed by add blocking software due to being embeded into the video my YouTube.
Seamless Video Hosting and Optimisation
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very intuitive, making the process of uploading, hosting, and optimizing very smooth. I also love the customizable player and the really fast CDN.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found it lacking some advanced video marketing tools, such as email gating and lead form captures, which are available with other similar services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides me a very seamless video hosting and at the same time deploys security features to help me avoid piracy of my videos. Overall, I appreciate Gumlet for its focus on speed, performance, and simplicity.
Good for DRM videos
What do you like best about the product?

What do you dislike about the product?
Replace Video has only one option, upload from device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduce piracy via DRM.
Easy Video Streaming
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to upload from my YouTube channel and embed into my WordPress site, thus avoiding adds.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a Download section that needs to be expanded, to just give one option, which is obviously to Download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remove adds from YouTube, by hosting on Gumlet.
Simple & Effective
What do you like best about the product?
Slick & Fast UX
Quick Upload & Transcoding
Better Video Player

Better Video Player
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI has some kinks... sometimes certain actions appear to take a long time, but actually its done in the background, just the UI does not update automatically... so you have to refresh the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Youtube can be slow to load in some countries, probably because its very huge. Gumlet as of now seems to be a fast video hosting option.
Hopefully they will stay to be performant for a long time in future.
