Must have for Mac Administration
What do you like best about the product?
Automating initial setup with installing all the programs and joining to the domain
What do you dislike about the product?
During the initial boot, it does not always hit DEP, but I don't that is a JAMF issue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mac computers went from taking a few hours of initial setup with installing all the programs, to taking a few minutes and letting it run.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the possibilities of automation that jamf provides. We constantly try to automate as many processes as we can to ensure that our end user experience is at it's peak across our district.
What do you dislike about the product?
All of the product issues that seem to be a burden on our district.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the issue of students downloading and running VPNs on their mobile devices. We've realized that we can automate a process that would require the student to remove the app in order to use their device fully again.
Worth every penny
What do you like best about the product?
I love Jamf's day 0 support on new systems. There's never a concern when major changes are released.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes too long for feature requests to make it's way into jamf.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wouldn't be able to successfully manage thousands of Macs if we did not have it. The benefit is the management of Macs.
Jamf Pro is the best for Apple Management
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro provides the best management options for Apple products, including zero-day support for new operating system releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf has grown very fast over the last few years, and responsible persons might get swapped out very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro enables us to resolve issues on macOS or iOS/iPadOS devices using options such as scripts and Configuration Profiles, for example. It offers great flexibility.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jamf Pro offers good services focusing mainly on Apple Products. With Jamf Connect, they have a great tool to use your directory services to sync account information.

What do you like best about the product?
It is great having an MDM product that is focused on Apple products and keeping up with Apple's rapid changes. I can count on Jamf having Day 1 support for new features and operating systems. I also love how robust their API is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf is not tailored for very large organizations. I am not able to natively give give users access to a specific policy, report, or profile. I need to be able to do that without giving them full control to all polices, etc. The database and web application are not optimized for a large installment 40k+ We start seeing strange issues once our database reaches about 100 GB, and we have to manually flush tables because the automatic flushing times out at our size.

What do you like best about the product?
If you need to do anything with Apple devices, mobile or computer, Jamf is the way to go. Jamf is designed for Apple, and it shows. Every feature Apple offers for device management is available to Jamf Pro users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things are changing all the time, especially on the Apple side, so things can go wrong. I have to contact support sometimes, but they're quite responsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage thousands of iPads across multiple sites with ease using Jamf Pro, including all the features of Apple School Manager. With the robust automation features not available in other MDMs, setup and maintenance is made a lot easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a lot of Apple devices, Jamf is the only way to go.
Great Experience with JAMF Pro
What do you like best about the product?
The management interface is easy to maneuver and day one support for new OS's is imperative n our environment. JAMF has the newest features implemented quickly so that you can access and apply them as soon as you are ready. Customer support is also great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some menu items are not as intuitive to locate within the layout. This takes extra time to locate support documents to figure out where an setting or issue can be resolved. While a minor issue, it is one that takes time to resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using JAMF Pro to manage devices in education so being able to apply restrictions that provide security, privacy are essential. We also need out devices to support instruction reliably every day without issues. JAMF helps us accomplish this task.
Great MDM Solution
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of the console use especially the admin. The overall UI and the capabilities it has.

Cost is a little expensive for our organisation

Jamf Pro is constantly evolving and offers the latest Apple management features. What I like best is the power of the Jamf binary, the Zero Day support, as well as the possibility of Smartgroups.

What I don't like so much is the rapid growth of Jamf as a company. The support got worse every year, the technical know how for 1st level support is not very high.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Jamf Pro a very powerful system if you know how to use it. Invest the time in it setting it up and tailor configure it to your needs and you will reap the rewards for years to come. A lot of information available in the Jamf community for use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the KB articles and Jamf community a bit disorganized but the support makes up for it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing, patching, deployment and device sharing are the main issues I use Jamf to realize my goals with.
