Fundamental to our products success
What do you like best about the product?
We implemented OneSignal into our platform in under 3 hours start to finish. Their customer support has been responsive and comprehensive whenever we have reached out to the team. I also really like the AI aspect of thier documentation search, this has helped us with implementation and debugging on numerous occasions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the pricing and feature structure confusing. Lack of access to a per user notification history without an elevated plan is disappointing, especially for debugging uses however we may consider a future upgrade as this would be incredibly helpful. It would also be nice to see SMTP integration for the email channel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OneSignal enables us to offer one of our core product features (mobile push notifications) with simple implementation

We needed a cost effective tool to implement push notifications and other communication channel with our players, and OneSignal does it for free!
Great platform to increase engagement, easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
We can reach users that otherwise wouldn't be able to, once is integrated with the app or website, send the a push notification or in-app message is very easy, the builder it's enough to complete most of the task. Their customer support answer in less than 24 hours, and we've been able to solve our queries very quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
We need to work closely with our dev team, and that's a little hard for the priorities and agenda, for integrate the several tags and outcomes.

My Go-To Tool for User Notifications
What do you like best about the product?
OneSignal has become my number one tool for keeping users informed about new features. It’s incredibly user-friendly and offers a wide range of customization options, allowing me to create targeted, timely, and engaging notifications.

The pricing could be more competitive. Improving the pricing model could make it even better

With One signal I can tailor messages based on user behavior, preferences, or demographics.

It connects my audience giving them ways to subscribe to my content, they can opt to receive my emails or just notifications about new content

It starts to loose efectiveness after a treshhold or maybe I have not configured it well, but the number of people it reaches have decreeased over time and I don´t really know if old subscribers are still finding my content or not

OneSignal creates an easy option for my readers yo get to know my content by just subscribing to the notifications or emails to be able to read my daily content.

It was really easy to configure and implement it in our website. For the prices I think is a very good option.

It took a while for me to adapt at the new dashboard, but now it all makes more sense.

It sends real time notifications to our subscribed users in our web platform so they can take action.

OneSignal has definitely been well used and they have smoothed out a lot of rough edged. We came from another messaging service, and this was was hands down simpler to use and had much more documentation
What do you dislike about the product?
Their growth tier is not a long term option. Don't make the decision to start OneSignal based on the price of their Growth tier. Multiply that by ~10x, and that's what you'll be paying for the Pro tier. There are some key limitations they have put on the growth tier (number of tags/segments/journeys) that will make it almost impossible to stick with that long term.
It likely is still worth it at that higher price, but that would be good to know before there is a large switching cost.

The best option to send notifications to your users
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to manage the sending of notifications to our users from a single platform, regardless of the device or browser they connect from, as well as the ability to see the interaction they have had with the information we send.
Similarly, having multiple ways to issue notifications (dashboard, web service, etc.), which helps in all phases of the project's implementation.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some integration libraries (flutter in our case) are not fully updated and generate alerts (non-blocking) when uploading applications to their distribution stores.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With a base of over 80,000 users where each one connects from multiple devices (of different operating systems and versions), it is difficult to manage the notifications sent from different service providers, and that is where One Signal makes our job easier, by being the point where our entire notification scheme converges, allowing us to quickly monitor the communication we have with each user and connect new channels as required according to the growth of our application.
