Outreach is a really good tool - a lot of moving parts though

  • July 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the total amount of time saved best. The reporting and data that the tool provides is also very helpful.

Snippets, Templates, and Invite Times are all major time savers and a large reason why this tool saves time as well.

I like that the platform is continuously improving and adding features like Opportunity tracking and updating.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up various parts of the system can be very cumbersome.

Tags can start to be overwhelming and not an efficient way to track prospects.

There's a lot of refreshing that needs to happen to view up to date data - would be great if this happened automatically.

Lack of keyboard shortcuts in outreach for Gmail - functionality in Salesforce Inbox is incredible for quickly responding to emails. Outreach would be much more user friendly if accessing snippets was quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Difficulty reaching out to large amounts of prospects in an organized fashion.

We save a lot of time and gain visibility into prospecting metrics on one dashboard.

We are also able to automatically have different kinds of inbound get the appropriate type of contact, outreach, or sequence. It is also possible for all of these results to track back to SFDC and other Marketing tools (hubspot)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider premium support - it's a bit frustrating that this costs extra - but it's a very cumbersome tool to set up. There's a large disconnect in ease of use between what's demoed and what implementation looks like.

Great tool, easy to use, low learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
Tracking, templates, and snippets are the best features to make sure your campaigns are successful. Support is incredible, quick responses and respond with detailed video explanations for complex tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't play nice with other plugins, setting up triggers isn't very simple. Would prefer an interface similar to hubspot. We store contacts in hubspot so it would be great if it could sync company names between the two platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales campaigns. Great for anything from setting up meetings based on conference attendee lists, to handling inbound lead flows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you don't sync more contacts than you need so that it doesn't cost a large amount. (You pay per synced contact)

Autopilot for Your BD Dept.

What do you like best about the product?
Outreach allows teams to focus on moving opportunities through the pipeline. It is that simple. The brain power previously tied up in remembering when to follow up, or figuring out what the best windows to call or email are is now focused on the best ways to get deals closed. Outreach handles all the other parts! We can drop a prospect on a sequence, and the rep simply follows the task steps. There days can be organized, broken down into swim lanes, and measurable down to a very granular level.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know it is a cop out to say I like everything...even though it is true. The platform is still young, so there are some improvements that I am confident will come. Outreach has already followed up on several of my feature requests and delivered!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a sales team lagging in follow ups and effectiveness in generating new business. In the 45 days since implementing outreach, we have grown our pipeline by over a quarter million dollars directly attributable to Outreach driven activity, and our adoption is only about 60-70 percent.

User-friendly sales tool

What do you like best about the product?
We just implemented outreach and I'm still getting the hang out of it. I appreciate that the interface is clean and self-explanatory. However, there are still a few things I wasn't able to figure out on my own.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, it isn't clear which workflows to execute in Outreach vs. salesforce. It has also been a bit difficult to set up and run email sequences as well as import leads from salesforce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
sales automation, outbound email sequences and tracking, cold calling, prospecting, scheduling
Recommendations to others considering the product:
test it out before you commit

Heavy reliance and usage, Great UX/UI

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a big fan of their tasks features as I no longer have to utilize sticky notes, or spreadsheets. It's as if I have a personal assistant. Also, the UI is very clean and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the actions still need some work. For example, when I attempt to schedule an email with a specified time, it will auto default to send at 9am. Also, the tasks aren't great for time specific matters, they work best to remind you about a task on a specific day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to utilize their sequence features to reach out to many more prospects than if I had to manually sequence.

Gets the job done!

What do you like best about the product?
Outreach makes it so easy to reach a large volume of people while being targeted with your messaging. Being able to have measured feedback on how well your emails are received means you can keep tweaking until you get open and response rates as high as possible. It helps sales reps become more data-driven. This platform is the best of its kind.
What do you dislike about the product?
Outreach can be a bit difficult to use. Their UI is not very user-friendly. Sometimes completing the most simple task can take a while due to tricky UI. The Salesforce integration has it's ups and downs, but overall everything works great and our marketing department loves it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our sales team uses Outreach to reach a mass number of prospects. Outreach allows us to be very targeted in our messaging and creates efficiency for the team. Also, by looking at interaction stats, we are able to tell who is interested and needs follow up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look more into the Salesforce integration to make sure it accomplishes what you need it to. Also, make sure to get sales buy-in. This platform works best for the sales team to use. If your team needs to reach a large volume of prospects and wants data around open rates and interactions, this is for you.

One of the most user friendly CRM clients I have used

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is very customizable. I haven't been able to use all of the features yet but love the way I can pull data with just a flew clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just that I haven't been able to learn all the features. I need to register for more webinars I suppose
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to keep track of my leads in a very organized and effective way. Benefits could be that I need less clicks and involvement to reach the data I need in the way I need it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Customization of the platform and data presented is awesome.. Easy to use and has a great appearance which is always a plus.

    Outsourcing/Offshoring

Good for small teams, horrible for enterprise. Integration is never good.

What do you like best about the product?
Outreach probably has the most advance features out there. The UI looks really cool and modern. It has everything a sales rep would ever need in a automation tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration - Integration of any product also have flaws. Also has holes in security. You have to understand how integration works to know what I mean.

Extremely hard to learn. Outreach is the hardest automation tool to learn.

Twilio - Great if you have a very small team. The more users you get the worse sound quality becomes. Because Twilio everyone shares one line per account. so long story short, when you have 100 reps they'll all be sharing one Twilio line.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
automating sales process. making my team and I more efficient. There are benefits but after you use outreach you'll realize that the benefits are cut short because of the maintenance tasks you need to do to upkeep outreach and its integrations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't let their amazing marketing strategies fool you. Outreach definitely has very sophisticated features but the product itself is not that well done. I cant emphasize how bad Twilio is for team's with many users and how tedious integration upkeep is. My company switched from Outreach to Salesloft to now Dialsource. I would recommend checking out Dialsource before deciding to go with either Salesloft or Outreach.

OutReach, data driven pipeline development

  • July 05, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The clear user interface makes the adaption and onboarding and set up seamless. On top of that, the powerful cross-platform synchronization expedites the list building process. Lastly, if there are any snags the high-quality customer support and account management teams are fantastic.

OutReach is the cornerstone of my team's technology stack, even beyond our CRM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only adoption struggle I've seen is when customers struggle with content development, and I wish they went the extra mile to be thought leaders in that space.
I wish the Reporting was more granular and felxible.
I also wish the account to contact synchronization was more fluid and automatic
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scale! The platform helps build colaboration between our reps and helps us focus on the critical task to build our business. It also helps us be a more data driven sales engine.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try. the platform is very powerful and the team deeply cares about making you successful.

Great, complex sales automation tool

  • June 23, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The myriad of options for composing emails with dynamic elements, as well as the ability to link up your calendar for instant appointment bookings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve, lack of initial training, and email-only support. We've had instances where critical issues/bugs affecting our correspondence to prospects without response for hours and resolutions that have taken over a day. Lack of phone support can lead to very costly gaps in service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a way to streamline our prospecting efforts without adding additional headcount or creating an SDR channel. The sheer horsepower of a sales automation tool allows an individual to reach more contacts than an entire team utilizing the old-school "one-off" outreach. A&B testing and the subsequent reporting has allowed up to continue refining our messaging.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a dedicated Salesforce Admin or the know-how to implement this complex solution. It's not exactly turn-key.
