2nd time using Outreach, they're the best in the biz
What do you like best about the product?
They know what their strengths are (a true sales engagement platform helps automate and organize a sales professional's workflow) and they stick to that (they don't mess around with other bells and whistles that take them away from their main things) - and that's why they're the best at what they do. The user interface is pretty easy to use and intuitive, and they always seem to be innovating.
Another thing I can appreciate about Outreach is the fact that they have thought leaders and subject matter experts that are always sharing knowledge for free. It's super helpful and really sets them apart as leaders in the space.

What do you dislike about the product?
Really the one gripe that I've always had with Outreach (this is the second organization I've used them with) is pretty nit-picky: when building out or editing sequences, you can't drag and drop steps in a sequence. For example, if you built a sequence and realize that you want to add an extra email in the middle of it after using it a few times, you can't just add that step in there. You have to create the step as if it was at the end of the sequence, then manually bump it up one step at a time. It's a tiny little thing, but it is a clunky process.
Oh also: not sure why but you can't add variables directly into a subject line when building out an email template- if you want to do that then you have add it in the body of the message and then copy and paste it into the subject line.
Other than those two small things, it's hard to find anything to mention here.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outreach allows us to not just automate and organize our day-to-day workflow as a business development team, but it also creates a central database for all of our sales engagement processes and copy. It makes knowledge sharing easy, and it backs it up with data and analytics. We love that we're able to test out different variables in an automated fashion and see what the rest of the team is doing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When we were evaluating Outreach, the only other platform that we found comparable was Salesloft. Salesloft was good (very similar), but ultimately what sold us on Outreach was the fact that they are solely dedicated to being a sales engagement platform, and they seemed to be the best in class at it. Salesloft had a few other cool features that made it tempting (including a new call recording functionality), but that wasn't quite what we were going for. So I would take a look at them as well, but whatever you don't try to use Salesforce in place of something like Outreach (Salesforce = CRM/sales database, Outreach = Sales Engagement Platform).
Outreach has improved the lives of our sales team members
What do you like best about the product?
The automation. We are primarily an inbound business. So, Outreach makes is easy to stay on top of leads and not let any fall through the cracks
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how easy it is for our team members to mess up sequences by skipping or deleting steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we are solving is ensuring we are following up with leads over time and getting the appropriate amount of touches over a longer period of time. Our response rate has increased and we have higher conversion rates as a result,
Outreach is like a to do list for Sales reps
What do you like best about the product?
Orgnised. It is much more organised than using spreadsheets, or just the CRM. Outreach super charges SDRs to increase productivity and to focus on the most engaged prospects
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting and analysis. In the last year they have made huge improvements but you can never do with too much analysis
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making sure we have x number of touchpoints, making sure our messaging is personalised, and making sure we don't miss anything.
Great Product for Sales and Marketing
What do you like best about the product?
Outreach is customizable and works effectively. It's been great for sales to automate outreach and for marketing to improve processes around campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Outreach could be more user-friendly. It isn't easy to train on and isn't very intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outreach has helped tremendously with customer outreach. Sales and marketing have saved a ton of time by using the Outreach triggers to automate sequences. The analysis and reports are also great.
High Quality Software with Extremely High Quality Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Any time I have run into an issue our Customer Success Manager (or Outreach Support) have been quick to respond and help find a solution
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some minor limitations with reporting but most of those can be worked around through a salesforce integration
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're verifying our customer outreach methodology and helping to measure effectiveness to train more effectively and grow our business
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure all your admins attend all set up meetings and you keep recordings of those meetings. The setup is complex and you will want to reference later as you personalize for sales v customer success
Outreach is a great sales tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the Outreach everywhere that pops up when you are in Salesforce. I like how easy the templates and sequences are to set up. The AB testing within sequences is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The activity doesn't sync to outreach well. It's in Salesforce, but not all calls/emails sync to the Outreach platform itself. It also takes a very long time to load reports and they often time out before I get info. I don't like how you can't
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving issues with mass communication on an individual level. We also use this for non-traditional sales teams like onboarding and services teams who usually don't have access to sequence tools. It has helped with clients who have gone dark or follow ups to onboading calls as tempaltes and sequences are ready to go and consistent.
Feature rich sales tool with unlimited functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Outreach's integrations with Salesforce and Intercom make my job so much easier for a few reasons, like transparency across Executive teams, visibility into SDR activity. What I like most about Outreach is how it empowers sales professionals to tailor a customer/potential customer's experience with our brand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only I don't particularly appreciate that being certified in Outreach costs money, even for their existing customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've seen the benefits of automating workflows in Outreach, Intercom, and Salesforce, increasing the efficiency of our Sales teams.
Great platform to automate sales outreach while being hyper personalized
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create sequences and A/B test. My team operates way more efficiently while still being able to be hyper-targeted and personalized in their outreach
What do you dislike about the product?
I should not have to reach out to support to add additional licenses. Outreach should build a feature to buy more licenses directly on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scalability and repeatability of sales processes. Increased activity output across the sales team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Outreach is a no brainer. Pull the trigger - you won't regret it!
Great features, could use better reporting.
What do you like best about the product?
Sequences and ability to add tasks to multiple outreach channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting leaves much to be desired. I'd prefer having a way to bulk export activities and do analysis outside of the tool, vs the reporting provided
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that our outreach sequences have the right number of touches with the least amount of administrative overhead
Streamlining our prospecting approach
What do you like best about the product?
As an admin I seriously love the reporting capabilities to understand what types of activities are working and which resulted in additional meetings booked.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrations with our CRM are complex and require trial and error to get right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We focus primarily on using Outreach for our prospecting approach. It helps to have standardized approaches across regions and teams to optimize our buyer journey.
