Nexthink allows us to make real data-driven decisions about our IT estate

  • March 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Nexthink is a product that's allowed to make decisions and act on what we know and can prove with data rather than what we think we know. The extensibility of the product to extend the dataset and act in key areas for our enviroment makes it a key platform in our IT environment providing not just great tools to L1 and L2 teams but allows managers to make informed decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside of the product is that many new features become subject to additional licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink has helped in a range of areas from software asset usage (negating the need for a full SAM tool) to device management and replacement planning. It's providing L1 teams with simple checklsts for devices prior to escaltion and assisting L1 and L2 teams diagnose issues quicker reducing the time to resolution for issues. It's providing good compliance reporting for a range of IT security related areas.

Real-time monitoring enhances proactive issue identification and boosts productivity

  • February 26, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I mainly use Nexthink for end-user device monitoring, which includes desktops, laptops, or any virtual devices, focusing predominantly on virtual desktops. The agent is deployed on these devices to monitor applications, and it is primarily used for AI operations.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of Nexthink is its proactive issue identification, which is part of its unique selling proposition. It includes ITSM processes by identifying and resolving issues, thereby improving user experience and productivity enhancements.

Real-time analytics is also effective as it involves real-time monitoring for proactive issue identification. Self-healing capabilities within the tool further enhance its value.

What needs improvement?

There could be improvements in monitoring user sentiments. Currently, user sentiment is not being monitored, meaning if a user faces multiple issues, their sentiments cannot be captured through the tool.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Nexthink for about eight to nine years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Nexthink is a cloud-based solution, a SaaS instance that gets allocated to the customer. There are no performance or scalability issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is completely scalable.

How are customer service and support?

Vendor support is rated ten out of ten, indicating high satisfaction with customer service and support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

Installation is very straightforward, and one person can easily handle it.

What about the implementation team?

Once installed, it is cloud-based, requiring no special management beyond what is standard.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Pricing is competitive, and the licensing model is straightforward. It is a per-device licensing model charged on a monthly subscription basis.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Nexthink ten out of ten. Although there is room for improvement regarding monitoring user sentiments, it is not a significant issue.

Nexthink - Wonderful experience

  • January 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The whole experience from the beginning of our journey to the present has been a wonderful. The level of support has been exceptional and the knowledge and willingess to help consultants have been really great.
The tool is very intuive and easier to use than other soltutions, it has great features and seems to be always improving each upgrade.

The imlemenation was a long road however due to the help of our dedicated consultant Abdul Hasnath it made the experience a really good one.

The tool is already being used by various IT teams and we are getting some great and productive results from it.
What do you dislike about the product?
no real downaides to the tool.

There are a few things that would help which may be looked at in the future such as application load times and maybe a way to capture the dex score and make it clear as to why the overall score has changed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created alerts for OST sizes, reboots and disc space. This has helped identify things that could improve the user experience.
It is helping us resolve any Microsoft teams issues as we use the remote action to clear the cache.
It has helped us identify trends in blue screen of deaths.

Best remote monitoring and actions deploying. Never had any issues with script deploying

  • December 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Nextthink, it was easy to deploy scripts and monitor deployment as well. Normally I'd face lots of issues with winrm when using a mid-server to deploy scripts on a remote machine.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few things about NQL is i am unable to see all stats i'd require. For example.. How many users in a city have logged into this machine. But instead, I can only see for a number of machines in different cities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink solves issue where a user would normally need to take his machine to IT to get his fixed. But now fixes and updates are remotely done. So, I would be able to push any new application installation or updates easily to multiple machines without needing to physically do it. I would just need to install nexthink collector, and I could even see stats of user's usage of various apps and his producitivity.

Myexperience with nexthink

  • December 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to figureout the dex score of multiple devices in a effective and user friendly way. It can also be integrated into multiple platforms. Customer support, implementation, the frequent use of nexthink portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nexthink is limited when it comes to documents in the web
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink is connecting with the endpoint users through campaigns and resolving their issues using remote actions. Its becoming ease when compared with connecting through ticket raising or any other means if support.

Senior Engineer

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It helps in troubleshooting issues like networking and application crashes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a dislike, but creating a NQL for a workflow or campaign targeting devices but it requires a user sid is not easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving issues where the end user is having issues booting up or running slow. I can see if it's a network issue or application crash. Also I am able to push out bios updates via a SCCM task sequence. This includes a workflow that will walk the user step by step.

A great tool

  • December 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Nexthink's focus on the user experience and the tools it provides to uncover things happening in the enviornment that may detract from that experience without relaying on the user to inform IT. Users are not IT monitors and Nexthink gets this. Finally the customer service is excellent. Nexthink works hard to ensure that customers get what they need out of the platform and are always on top of issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Nexthink had better integration with MDMs like Intune. It would be great to utilize things already configured in Intune like platform scripts, app installs/uninstalls, and policies via nexthink.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexthink is helping us get to the problems we don't see in tickets and the ones we don't want to get that far. We also use Nexthink to track major projects such as Win11 upgrades, AVD, and device setups. Finally, Nexthink is helping us better tell the story of the enviornment to leaders. The dashboards and investigations have been crucial in proving our work and finding areas to improve.
