    Security and Investigations

Straightforward, secure design, good documentation

  • September 20, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Building stories and workflows is very straightforward. Moreover, Tines seems to have some secure access foundations in place to remind users to keep a high security bar. The documentation is very clear and it is easy to obtain logs for things like HTTP requests, which really streamlines troubleshooting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this moment. Everything has been workign well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is helping centralise a lot of random scripts we have running across different sources, as well as enabling us to perform additional automation tasks that were previously too high investment to pursue due to our current resourcing.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is that we do not need to program for automating anything, We can just pull things we require and make a workflow to ease our daily work, Loved it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about it, But I still sometimes find it difficult to implement some workflows I need, But for that tines help team is always helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best thing that has been solved for me using tines is automating the daily phishing spam reports, Tines really help in segregating what is relly important to focus on.

Streamlined Automation and Efficient Incident Response with Tines

  • September 05, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tines offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface for creating automation workflows. Even team members with limited coding experience can design powerful automation sequences, which is a significant plus for our cross-functional teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tines, while user-friendly, can have a learning curve, especially for users who are new to automation and orchestration tools. Creating complex automation workflows may require some time and training to fully master.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines helps us automate and streamline our incident response processes. Instead of manually handling each alert and incident, we've automated repetitive tasks, allowing our security team to focus on more complex and critical tasks. This has significantly reduced response times to security incidents, helping us mitigate threats faster. Also, tines provide rich contextual information for each incident, pulling data from various sources. This feature has been invaluable in helping our analysts quickly assess the severity and impact of an incident, allowing for more informed decision-making.

What do you like best about the product?
Overall It's very good , What I liked the most about it is that even If I have not good at coding, I can still complete my tasks very easily and Tines have so many templet for simply we can use that is very usefull as for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
As for me I am not found anything, but ya I am noticed that some Doucmention are not properly. Like In python scripting Toolkit documentation I am facing some problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is primarily used for automation, such as Incident Response Acceleration, Reduction of alert fatigue, Cross-team collaboration, Efficient phishing response, etc. It was very helpful for me. I had to extract some logs from Sumo Logic and CrowdStrike, send them to VirusTotal to check whether the data I extracted is malicious or not. To perform this task, I created a Tines story, and it was very helpful for me

Fast and Convenient

  • July 27, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clean and intuitive, and the workflow is really nice - it's very easy to test things out and debug sections of your story, since everything has clear detailed logs, as opposed to having to write many print or log statements yousrelf.
What do you dislike about the product?
The standard library of functions is not quite complete, so sometimes I'll find myself wanting to do something that would be very hard in Tines itself. I know they are working on adding code execution to Tines, which would greatly help this, but without being able to import libraries it might not be as useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is helping me automate syncing issues between a wide variety of technologies very quickly, in a way that's also easy to share and understand by colleagues.

Great platform for quickly developing scalable security automations

  • May 31, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tines has a very easy UI to navigate from a first time user. Having recently worked with new joiners who haven't used a SOAR platform before, they were all able to quickly grasp Tines concepts with relative ease and were able to build and maintain existing workflows we had developed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Change management in Tines is very tough. Ideally, having a "git" like concept in Tines would be amazing because in a large IR team, many people are making many changes and it becomes very difficult to keep track of changes that were made.

Reviewing changes in Tines isn't easy either because there is only one view which is quite small and only shows changes in a JSON format which isn't easy to read and get an understanding of when reviewing changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can rapidly build automations and workflows that would take 2 or 3 times as longer if we had to write actual code instead.
