Tines Review

  • March 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can build a workflow without having prior knowledge into coding. This will help speed up our adoption for self service here at Turo. Okta workflows only works with internal application. this allows us to build using API
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really at the moment. everything has been as advertised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're currently building out a password reset workflow. This workflow will allow users to self service a password reset for their laptop if they forget it.

Tines

What do you like best about the product?
Tines was created in a way that allows you to bring extensive automation capability to nuanced parts of any Enterprise business. Since the implementation of Tines, we have been able to collect Events from all sorts of platforms and bring them into one central engine for Analysis and Triage. Tines comes out of the box with 100s of integrations and templates that have worked perfectly. If we ever ran into issues, we have always been able to rely on their Support Team.

The best part is if you don't believe any of this - you can simply get a Community Tenant for free with 3 Storys and have your own workflows setup within a day and see for yourself!
What do you dislike about the product?
As you become an advanced user of Tines every now and then, you notice a Quality of Life improvement or other feature that you wish you had. However, I have seen 100s of Quality of Life features released since using Tines. The Product Team at Tines loves new feature requests and they always make sure they get done. So although you might not have the feature now; you will soon in my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using Tines for awhile. At this point, Tines has "forked" into so many parts of our Enterprise. Currently, a few use cases are SOAR/Alert Management, user on/offboarding, automating our audits and access reviews, form/pages for various internal requests.

Powerful and Scalable Platform for security process automation

  • March 06, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to automate processes you use daily to increase productivity and remove repetitive tasks for your team. A force multiplier for your team by allowing you to automate quickly and has the added benefit of making you think about everything you do and if what you are doing is a candidate for automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides. As a former engineer using one of the well-known automation platforms in this space, I found Tines intuitive and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform allows us to take repetitive tasks and processes and quickly automate them. Not having a Python expert involved who may or may not understand security is also a massive benefit for us; those resources are sometimes hard to find.

Tines is a fabulous piece of automation software

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity in being able to drag and drop elements to a story in order to quickly create actions that would otherwise take 3 or 4 times the amount of time to complete using anything else
What do you dislike about the product?
There is limitations as to what Tines can do for example when pulling a file size you're currently limited to a 50MB limit.
Another downfall is stories only allowing for one entry and exit point when being used in other areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time saving.
We currently use Tines for pulling a lot of reports from our products that would otherwise take a few hours to complete manually but can be ready for us first thing in the morning due to scheduling of tasks.

Easy and Fast integrations with Webhook and Email Sources

  • February 28, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Tines allow for fast and easy configuration of workflows with options for delayed events and verbose logic control. Tines also provides templates and easy Import/Export of workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, Tines does not allow you to upload sample events or set additional parameters for use cases like Prod and Sandbox environments. Additionally, you can't run custom code like Javascript, all operations have to be in the workflow blocks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines provides automated workflows for permission authorization and account generation in several systems. Additionally, Tines receives alerts and communicates with employees through our corporate communication program.

Great Cloud Automation Product.

  • February 16, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that while it's geared mostly towards security tools, you can also enhance it's value by adding non-security tools to the workflows. The pre-and-post sales support is also very accessible and agile.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI makes it a bit difficult to find some features and functions. For instance, some places you're expected to scroll to access things, or right click, but those hints aren't strongly conveyed in the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Tines for three main processes: onboarding, offboarding, and security data feed enrichment. It's helping us by reducing the manual, error-prone process by consuming and using data sources that are already validated and verified.

Some of the best security software I have ever used

  • February 12, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Working in Tines is extremely satisfying. Tines as a package is really polished and enables you to quickly create, test, and maintain security automation workflows. I have learned a lot about software and programming from this platform, despite it being "low code".
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation could use some improving, but it is still helpful in many areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building security automation within a SaaS product solves the problem of maintaining overengineered, complex, scattered code over a number of repositories. It also enables people that are not traditionally developers to become a part of the process.

Awesome experience with tons of extensibility

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the community-driven story library. Having pre-built stories using different technologies enables newcomers and existing customers to see what other problems the community is automating and evaluate if it adds value to their own deployment. Seeing how others, like me, have automated processes and workflows with the same technologies is great for ROI.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my experience, most security solutions have a ramp-up period that's required to get value out of the solution. While Tines has their story library, it can be challenging to configure complex stories to function fully. Though Tines has documentation and a basic set of training videos, I would have liked to have seen more content to help train non-developers. Like many companies, Sales Engineers can be used to bridge the gap in customer training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me save time and drive consistency with my team by automating manual processes or taking technical workflows and bringing them to other non-technical stakeholders to take action

All the fun of software engineering without low-level code debugging

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity, ease, and speed at which I can prototype solutions/ automations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some subtle nuances when using their formulas/functions that aren't clearly documented/
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines allowed me to develop a workflow that automatically remediate MDM compliance issues with our asset fleet.

Great product and a game changer solution in the security automation

  • January 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The first and most important thing is it's easy to use and has only 7 action points. We can automate anything that has an API with these action points.

Cool and very promising solution for automating various security events.
What do you dislike about the product?
None as of now. The tool is easy to use and complete documentation is available on the website. Almost all significant use cases have been given in their resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TInes is a great Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) solution. The other Security Orchestration, Automation and Response tools I have used needs months of work to customize and automate the first incident response. With tines, you can do it in less than an hour.
