Excellent Automation Platform - Intelligent and Accessible
What do you like best about the product?
Tines is major part of our stregic automation journey. The product has made use of low code more easier and with which tasks can be delivered with minimum to no training required.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love the prouct and am still to find reasons to dislike it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are MSSP and part of our vision is to assist Small business who needs cybersecurity solutions but their budgets does not allow it to be on their priority list. This is primary due to high cost of teh solutions. Automating service with Tines helps us bring down the costs, specially human analysts, making the services accessible to such clients.
Simple & Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the interface design. I am able to easily create a 'story' simply by dragging the different events/functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The guide to using Tines is not as useful as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines has allowed me to create an automation which sends me updates via email of security patches at every hour instead of me having to manually access and check the website for updates everyday.
Fast and Convenient
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clean and intuitive, and the workflow is really nice - it's very easy to test things out and debug sections of your story, since everything has clear detailed logs, as opposed to having to write many print or log statements yousrelf.
What do you dislike about the product?
The standard library of functions is not quite complete, so sometimes I'll find myself wanting to do something that would be very hard in Tines itself. I know they are working on adding code execution to Tines, which would greatly help this, but without being able to import libraries it might not be as useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is helping me automate syncing issues between a wide variety of technologies very quickly, in a way that's also easy to share and understand by colleagues.
Great platform for visualizing and developing automations
What do you like best about the product?
The onboarding/technical team is fantastic. We brought them several difficult cases, and they were able to help us figure out our use cases and create needed automations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the application, you still have to have a relatively deep understanding of APIs, authentication mechanisims, and the way Tines uniquely interacts with them in order to build your own automations or edit current Stories.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recurring admin tasks with a number of our appications that disrupt our project and operational workflow. Allows us to concentrate on more technical problems without having to worry about common recurring user issues.

Nothing as such. More training videos should be created for the stories in the story library

Tines security automation is really easy to use and much needed tool in today's complex SOAR tools.

1. Pricing model is still not that flexible.
2. Ticketing feature isn't great. Needs improvement to interact with multiple teams and should support assignee, assignment team, etc

What do you like best about the product?
It is a very easy-to-learn tool with lots of functionalities. I found it quite helpful to automate our daily operational tasks. The Team is also prompted to help in creating the stories.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is currently in the initial phase, so study material is unavailable on the Internet. However, Tines has a very brief self-assessment kind of boot camp, which is quite informative. And they also provide help through the chatbot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us automate security-related tasks related to SOAR, but all over, it has automated the task and has improved results and reduced 100% of manual work.

Because Tines is so simple it sometimes takes roundabout methods to automate more complicated tasks.

Its simplicity makes it easier for teams to achieve excellent results in the short term.

You might encounter a slight learning curve, but you can master it within a few weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tines is helping us to reduce work time. We are a small team with lots of everyday tasks we can reduce by automating and just getting info on the output.

What do you like best about the product?
Its a production-ready platform where you can build automation and go live without complex pipelines. You can visualise your workflow, engineer to your desired degree of granularity, and quickly enable, suspend, or re-route automation actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest hurdle to overcome was the shift in mindset from writing code as text in an IDE to using the GUI and connecting blocks of logic together.
Once this is accomplished though, the process becomes very efficient.
While on this learning curve I wondered if it would be possible to make a code based, textural interpretation of a story workflow so that the programmer might more easily understand what is happening.

Tines helps to solve how we design automation and also how we are running these processes in production.
I find that I can build quicker in Tines and do not have to worry about pipelines and hosting infrastructure once the automation is built. I just publish the story.
