Effortless Demo Creation Made Simple
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to create demos using the chrome browser plug-in. The AI prompt generation also helps with quicker content creation
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the HTML recording can result in jittery demos that you have to go back and modify so the screen doesn't move
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing simple value focused demos for customers to consume on their own time before meeting
Convenient Screen Recording with Room to Grow in Their Folder Structures
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane has improved its buyer-hubs and integrations into HubSpot work excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs better organization of demos and hubs so you can use the tool across multiple departments without losing track of what is relevant to each team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage a rapidly growing product and need to inform our users about new features in a way that is easily digestible. Storylane also allows potential new customers to explore our product on their own while in the sales cycle, which helps these deals move along faster.
Intuitive configuration and effective demos
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to set up product demos quickly, the UI is intuitive and straightforward to use. The end-product looks really professional and these are great for bringing knowledge base articles to life/showing features in action.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are several ways the product could be enhanced to make maintaining demos easier. For instance, being able to search for keywords within the demo steps, rather than only by demo title, would be very helpful. Additionally, if updating a screenshot in one demo could automatically update it across all demos where it appears, that would save a lot of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presenting the entire process in an interactive format, rather than relying only on video content, helps make things clearer for customers. This approach allows users to follow each step more easily and in their own time.
Intuitive Demos That Empower Our Revenue Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how practical and intuitive the demos are for our internal teams, particularly during events like trade shows where we need a straightforward way to present new features to clients and prospects. The option to include callouts and tool tips makes the demos accessible and user-friendly, allowing anyone—regardless of their experience with our company or solutions—to confidently give a demo.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few enhancements I would like to see on the backend, especially when creating demos. For instance, I wish I could simply record a two-minute demo recording and have StoryLane automatically splice and edit the video, rather than having to manually upload each screenshot and video clip. I have also encountered some difficulties when trying to trim clips to make them shorter.
Additionally, there have been several occasions when I was unable to publish a demo and received an error message. Thankfully, the StoryLane support team responded promptly and resolved the issue before one of our most important client-facing trade shows.
Additionally, there have been several occasions when I was unable to publish a demo and received an error message. Thankfully, the StoryLane support team responded promptly and resolved the issue before one of our most important client-facing trade shows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
StoryLane has made it much simpler for us to create and share demos with our internal teams, clients, and prospects. Previously, we had to record long demo videos and then upload them to platforms like Vimeo to share with clients or prospects, who might not even watch them. Now, being able to click through a demo step-by-step and read the accompanying tool tips is far more convenient and user-friendly. This approach is also especially helpful for our newer employees, as it allows them to learn about our product and deliver demos with confidence, even if they are not yet fully familiar with all of our platform's features yet.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish i could use it for app demos on my mobile device
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I make demo collaterals for clients, conferences and our client facing customer portals
Effortless Mockups for Teams of All Skill Levels
What do you like best about the product?
Our team was able to set up tokens that we can all now use, so that you don't have to be super technical to be able to set up a custom mock up for our clients and prospects.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have found just a few glitchy things with sizing between taking the screenshot, using it in a mock-up, viewing the preview and then viewing the final demo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is allowing my team to build some custom mock-ups for client without having to enlist an internal design team that has a long SLA. We have also been able to build out some standard demos to use for parts of our platform that are not easy to manipulate to look like real content and real data. This is saving our team time, and allowing us to close deals faster.
Effortless demos for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is clean and fairly simple to use, which for a small marketing team is one of the most important things you can ask for. I'm able to go in and easily spin up new demos of feature launches or product tours without an excessive amount of time or work. Having tried a number of product walkthrough platforms, Storylane sticks out for having all the essentials at a fair price point without sacrificing on ease-of-use, UI, or aesthetic once embedded.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to say. Having used for a few years, it's been great to see additional design functionality like highlights, blurring, and branding get added in. The platform has always been easy to use and only gotten more sophisticated over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like most, security and IT buyers want to be shown, not told. Storylane makes it easier for us to have a demonstrable product on the website and educate buyers before they get to a demo or trial conversation.
Effortless Updates and Scalability with Storylane
What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciate the scalability that a single Storylane offers. With the "republish" feature, I can create a Storylane once and never worry about sending out new or updated links, since the original link is automatically refreshed. This has been a huge benefit for me and my company, especially since we have releases every other week. Before using Storylane, it was a hassle to continually send out updated materials and manage internal resources, but now that process is much more streamlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my experience, some of the AI features actually created more work rather than making things more efficient, so I decided to disable them. However, I can see how AI could be beneficial in Storylane if the tool were more dynamic and didn't simply add unnecessary extra slides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales enablement is effectively managed at scale, allowing teams to access the resources they need. The product knowledge base materials are also available at scale, making it easier to facilitate continuous updates to our client base. Additionally, demoing and training processes are well supported.
Effortless Product Sharing for Customers
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to send customers all the information they need to review our products without waiting to schedule a demo.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's a great tool and don't have any negative feedback at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customers often have to wait on scheduling to get a demo of our products or we need to pull in certain subject matter experts for who aren't always available for demos. With Story lane we can send customers what they need and then follow up with more thorough discussions as needed. It helps to shorten our sales cycle.
Effortless Demo Creation with an Intuitive UX
What do you like best about the product?
The UX is very simple and self explanatory. Once you get the hang of it, building demos is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing. The fact that it jumps from $40 Starter to $1200 Premium, which is the next tier that makes it possible to download MP4s. Otherwise, we are limited to using an embed code, which reduces use cases for the end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminating the middleman when it comes to providing self-guided demos and create a great CTA for wanting to learn more about our product.
