Excellent demo creation tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to set up and use, it automatically creates frames in a very intuitive manner, and it's easily digestible for my audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional issues with getting the application started that don't generate useful errors, but rebooting always resolves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Getting our potential customers into the product interface sooner.
Solid Sales Tool with Clear Areas for UI Growth
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it gives me the ability to deliver my product to prospects in a meaningful way. Prior to using Storylane, I was in a position where I had to send individual videos, individual cases, or even sandbox sites that might allow them to get themselves all tied into knots. That meant I was giving them a suboptimal, post-demo experience by forcing them to click through a list of individual links. Storylane has let me create a library of resources that I can fairly easily customize for each individual. The fact that I can send a singular link but offer multiple, meaningful pathways for the prospect to engage with us more means that I'm able to offer more value and cement more relationships.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be clear UI growth opportunities for many of the elements within Storylane. Even in trying to search through the library of created resources I find myself having to clear filters to simply start from the beginning when it's unclear what filters are even in place at all. I always get there in the end but it always feels like it takes longer than it should.
The big thing, though, is the demo creation process itself. I'm coming to this from a video production background and so I can't help expecting there to be intuitive ways to get to the place I'm headed. It's a very specific tool and once I'm able to understand the underlying logic, I can speed up the creation process and get the result I want more or less. That said, I can't help feeling that I'm bumping up against seemingly arbitrary boundaries rather than thriving within the confines of an entirely logical tool. As the tool grows, I'm sure many of these things will be ironed out and for now the pluses outweigh these frustrations by quite a bit.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In selling software, I need to deliver meaningful opportunities for my prospects to obtain hands-on experience with the product I am offering. Previously, I was limited to sharing videos or enabling access to a sandbox site where a prospect could click around unguided, potentially getting themselves into all kinds of trouble. Storylane offers me the ability to curate a guided path through the product which reduces the barrier to entry for the prospect and reduces the likelihood of unwittingly introducing objections. It makes for a much more personal and engaging follow up in an important stage of the selling process.
Easy to use and great for CS teams!
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is super easy to get up and running and utilize. I didn't have to read any instructions or refer to a help center. Super intuitive and the teams are loving it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Great so far and don't have any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With a somewhat complex software that we use, its always helpful to provide step by step guides to an end user that can make it easy for our CS teams to communicate.
Great platform for showcasing your product
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane has enabled all our product managers to create outstanding demos, walk-throughs, and overviews of the features they are launching. It was very easy for everyone to learn, with people up and running creating their own demos within hours. It has taken the uncertainty that comes from doing a live demo during a webinar or workshop. We have also used it as a knowledge transfer tool for both internal and external customers. It gives everyone a quick and easy way to experience new features and functionality. Publishing the Storylanes is as simple as sharing a URL. They are easily embedded in our website, knowledge center and product articles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The visual aids that are available work better for marketing use cases than self-service product education. This may not even be a use case that Storylane is concerned about but it is very adjacent to self-service demoing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to demo pre-release software without relying live demos from dev/test environments.
Ability to include a demo in knowledge transfers, workshop and other interactions without having to prep a demo environment each time.
Ability to quickly and easily embed demos in our website that are informational and compelling.
Ability to create demos for our sales team for features and integrations that are difficult to provide in a sales demo environment.

Customizable Demos in Minutes—With Smart AI and Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is super intuitive to use, especially with the Chrome extension—it’s seamless to start creating demos right away. The AI features are surprisingly smart: it records audio and summarizes everything perfectly, which saves a ton of time. I also love how customizable the demos are. You can tweak the HTML formatting (which is actually fun!) and use the search-and-replace feature to quickly adapt one demo to multiple use cases.
There are also a lot of options for CTAs—whether you're directing to a URL or booking a meeting, it's easy to guide viewers where you want them. Branding is effortless, and the analytics with built-in UTM tracking are a huge bonus—our ops team loves that it's ready out of the box.
Shoutout to the CSM team—they’re incredibly fast, friendly, and helpful when it comes to customizing demos for unique use cases. It honestly feels like they’re an extension of our team.

What do you dislike about the product?
The auto-generated forms could look a little sleeker—they're functional but not the most visually appealing. Also, there are a few screens where HTML editing isn’t available, which can be a minor limitation depending on your design goals. But overall, these are pretty small tradeoffs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps us remove the friction of scheduling a traditional demo by letting prospects experience the product on their own terms. It gives them a low-commitment way to explore key features and instantly see value without any pressure.
We also use Storylane to showcase specific use cases tailored to different personas, which helps spark interest and get prospects genuinely excited about what’s possible. The personalized demos often get shared internally across buying committees, making it easier for champions to sell the value of our product inside their org.
Best of all, we can make each experience feel unique and relevant to the prospect's needs—which builds trust and gets us further into the deal cycle, faster.

Great product and support team!
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Storylane for just under a year and continue to appreciate how open they are consistently open to feedback and making updates to the product that align with user's needs. While I find it easy to use overall, we did have some issues at the beginning with user adoption, and the team was great about supporting us through that so everyone felt comfortable using it, which really made the difference in getting that initial momentum built.
What do you dislike about the product?
For larger organizations with multiple teams utilizing Storylane, the current teams folder set up is limiting. For example, if one team has created a demo, another team can't add that demo to their hub unless they duplicate it and bring it into their own team folder. This then opens the door to various versions of the same demo being out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping potential clients see what is possible with the solutions we offer and different use cases.
Excellent, intuitive tool for product demos - makes the process quick and easy
What do you like best about the product?
I make customer docs, tutorials, demos, mockups all day long. We've put together some explainer videos for various product features, but those take a good bit of time and aren't easy to share on some platforms. Visuals help, and gifs, but they're not always enough to demonstrate how to use a feature. Storylane has filled in this content gap with easy-to-make interactive demos. We've building a library of demos to supplement our customer docs, sharing them in our newsletter & on our website.
What I like about using Storylane: Intuitive interface, super easy to use, editing and customization options are good. I'm able to put demos together quickly. It's a great tool for customer education & support.

What do you dislike about the product?
Have had a few issues with the pop-up button not embedding properly. I can tinker and fix it manually but it's annoying to have to do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customers benefit from visual explanations but we had a gap in our customer docs. Videos = too much. Stills and gifs = not quite enough. Storylane fits in that middle spot and enables to provide excellent demos for a variety of features and needs. They're easy to create, I can even put one together in a few minutes to answer a customer support question if needed.
