Effortless Demo Creation with Impressive Interactivity
What do you like best about the product?
Creates great demos. Really cool, interactive, easy to create.
What do you dislike about the product?
The HTML option is too expensive. Some things are not so intuitive in the growth plan.

The Chrome Extension Makes Everything Easier
What do you like best about the product?
The Chrome extension. It speeds up the use of Storylane greatly and I use it all the time in Gmail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! It is an amazing product and our prospects appreciate being able to walthrough our system with ease
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to get prospects hands on our system without me having to lock them down in a zoom meeting.
Effortless Demo Capture with a Handy Browser Extension
What do you like best about the product?
I like the browser extension that makes it easy to capture click-through demos from any webpage.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really difficult to add additional steps from existing demos. It's difficult to identify which screens were newly uploaded and it's not easy to know where in your demo the new screen was placed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Storylane demos in our release documentation to clarify the new features and we use them in our configuration guides to help walk through the product configuration steps for our products.
Polished self-serve demos that save our team time
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes it really easy to build interactive product demos without engineering help. The editor is straightforward, the output looks polished, and sharing a link is simple. It’s been a big win for self-serve demos and for keeping prospects engaged between meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?

Occasionally we’ll run into minor UI quirks while editing, and it can take a little trial and error to get everything pixel-perfect. Nothing major, but there’s room to improve the editing experience.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us scale product storytelling across the funnel. Instead of asking prospects to schedule another call just to “see it,” we send a Storylane demo link after discovery or in outbound. Buyers get the “ahh ha” faster, and our follow-ups are more productive because they’ve already interacted with the core workflow.
Interactive Demos That Elevate User Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to make demos that are interactive, and allow the user to go through the entire experience by clicking through the interaction. This gives a better experience that is not generic and can be customized. I also like the AI features that generates the text
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes to edit is sometimes time consuming, as it creates a screen/video of every click. The initial creation of the demo/interaction is good, but sometimes the fine tuning takes a bit longer. I haven't used all of the AI features based on the account level I am on. So some of the challenges that I am experiencing could be due to the level of tier that I am on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to showcase a demo that is interactive and platform walk thru. It allows for a user to actually click through a demo, not just view a video. This makes the relatability aspect significantly easier to understand and allow the end user to relate to.

Intuitive and Simple Product Tour Creation
What do you like best about the product?
Storyline is intuitive to use and makes developing product tours for sales and product training pretty simple.. The AI audio scripts are really easy to generate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally the responsive nature of screens can cause misallignment. That said it is not too difficult to correct.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is proving an interactive dimension to our existing video help and dem series
Empowering Visual Learners with Intuitive Tools
What do you like best about the product?
I create exceptionally useful tools for visual learners in Storylane.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have maybe downsides other than the ease of use for folks that aren't familiar with the tool. It's hard to collaborate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me time, so I don't have to walk through all of our platforms with clients.
We replaced most product demo videos with Storylane
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane made our course production much easier. We used to record every product demo as video, which created a bottleneck with a small video team. With Storylane, we replaced most sequential “click-through” demos with interactive demos that anyone on the team can build in minutes once the use case and flow are defined. It’s as easy as screen recording. Captions are strong, and the AI translation feature helps us scale content across languages quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We probably underutilize the platform, so I’m cautious about calling anything a hard limitation. That said, I’d love a smoother “interactive demo + avatar narration” workflow (for example an integration with an avatar tool like Synthesia) since we can already export demos as videos with AI audio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane solves our biggest bottleneck: producing and maintaining product demos at scale. Before, we relied on video for most walkthroughs, which meant every update required scripting, recording, editing, captions (and we have a small video team). With Storylane, we can turn sequential “click-through” demos into interactive, high-quality demos that any team member can build quickly. The result is faster production, easier updates when the UI changes, and a more consistent, polished learner experience. Captions and AI translation also help us scale the same demo across languages without rebuilding everything from scratch.

We started using Storylane to solve a specific problem: our prospects wanted to see the product immediately, but we didn't want to give away a full sandbox environment. Storylane has become our go-to for demand generation.
The capture process is incredibly smooth, but the real power is in the guided tours. We can now walk a prospect through our top features asynchronously, ensuring they see the 'Aha!' moment without needing a live SE on the call. It has significantly increased our high-intent lead flow because by the time a prospect hits 'Book a Demo,' they’ve already 'used' the product and understand its value.
Another huge callout is their Support team who are absolutely AMAZING and easy to reach out to for product questions.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only minor friction point is the depth of editing images within screenshots. We also noticed that certain complex layers of our product's interface required a bit of trial and error to capture correctly. I’d love to see more 'Photoshop-lite' features integrated directly into the workflow to speed up the polishing phase
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane solves the bottleneck of the traditional sales cycle where a prospect has to wait for a live meeting just to see the product in action. By providing a self-guided, interactive resource, we can let potential customers explore our top features at their own pace. This has been a game-changer for our demand generation; it qualifies leads earlier and ensures that by the time they do book a meeting, they already understand our core value.
