Easy-to-use, interactive platform
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, I started as a beginner and was able to create product guide demos pretty easily. The site is easy to navigate as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe an option to create more fluid/video-like demos would be helpful, right now demos are constructed of separate slides that transition into each other (style is a little choppy/seems like you're presenting a slide deck)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane allows us to show off our product and walk interested customers through it without the hassle of setting up live demos or meetings

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes it simple and quick to explain otherwise complex written instructions. Having an extension in my browser makes it extremely easy to create a quick demo. I love being able to embed them on webpages and include GIFs in our marketing emails. All-in-all a really great product, and easy to learn!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I can think that I don't like about Storylane is maybe their logo color? Fuschia? Honestly, I can't think of anything I don't like about Storylane. It's awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since part of what we market is a software product, it solves the problem of needing to show newly released features that we would like for our coaches and clients to explore so they can get the maximum benefit from our services. This helps with client satisfaction and retention.

What do you like best about the product?
I am a Chief Marketing officer. For me, the personalization to make it based on an specific use case it's what makes it unique. Creating, and most importantly explaining the SOPs in my company was a headache, with this tool it's very easy to do so.

What do you dislike about the product?
Its a very easy to use tool but the learning curve could take some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Employees come and go in my company and getting the new ones on track took a lot of time and effort. With storylane I can not only explain the SOPs of my company but also, create Storylanes about our customers, so buyers can understand easier how to use the software tools.
So, first would be Net new hire ramp up time.

Storylane for Learning
What do you like best about the product?
My team is using Storylane to create demos for learning purposes. What I find really helpful is how easy to use it is, and I can create professional-looking demos and walk-throughs very quickly and easily, and editing is really simple. For demonstrating software applications it's a true-to-life snapshot of how the system works. I was able to get up and running with the tool without much trouble.
What do you dislike about the product?
If the extension was available in other web browsers (Edge & Firefox) that would make it easier for me to have additional SME's help create content, as our organization has Chrome locked down to only a few users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to create safe training environments where our new hires can try out the new software they will be using without compromising live data, and this tool is perfect for creating a safe "sandbox" for them to explore the system.
Amazing tool for interactive product demonstrations
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to show more of our product on the website and make it interactive. We want to use this to generate more leads.

The value is there, however it can be expensive for smaller companies.

We struggled to bring our product to life on our website. With Storylane we can show people how awesome our product is instead of just telling them.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some design fuctions are applied globally, others aren't and have to be implemented in every single demo which can be time-consuming
Intransparency of the way content can be gated (in which package)
Some bugs in the UI (e.g. when changing to another another guide in the demo, from hotspot to lead form) you cannot return to the previous guide-format

Great for sales enablement and onboarding, though advanced users might wish for deeper analytics and more complex branching logic. Overall, a solid choice for making polished, shareable demos fast.

The design customization options, while clean and functional, can feel somewhat limited for marketers who want highly branded, pixel-perfect control over every element. Storylane is improving our prospect experience by providing self-guided, interactive tours of the Collibra platform. This allows potential customers to learn at their own pace, find answers to their questions, and determine if our solution fits their use case. The tour then seamlessly guides qualified prospects on how to connect with our team for more information.
