Storylane: The perfect solution for sales!
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is a powerful tool for creating interactive product demos without any coding, making it easy for sales and marketing teams to showcase their software. Its no-code interface allows users to build and share seamless, engaging demos through links or website embeds, reducing friction for potential customers. With built-in analytics, businesses can track engagement and optimize their sales approach. By providing an immersive, hands-on experience, Storylane helps improve conversion rates, saves time by reducing the need for live demos, and offers customization options to tailor demos for different audiences, making it a valuable solution for companies of all sizes.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Storylane is a great tool, it has some downsides. Creating highly customized demos may require technical expertise, and the analytics might not be as in-depth as some businesses need. There can be a learning curve for new users, and pricing may be a concern for smaller companies. However, it remains a strong choice for interactive demos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is helping us solve demo automation by allowing us to create interactive, no-code product demos that can be easily shared with potential customers. This saves time by reducing the need for live walkthroughs, ensuring a consistent demo experience, and improving engagement with prospects. By automating the demo process, we can focus more on closing deals rather than repeatedly showcasing the same features, ultimately streamlining our sales cycle and increasing efficiency.
Storylane is easy and powerful for building web demos
What do you like best about the product?
The automation make collecting and editing your demo fast and easy. Demos take almost no time to build and Storylane automatically breaks it up into editable steps for easy commentary.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any demo limitation with Storylane.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Storylane to build technical documentation of the best kind. A picture is worth a thousand words. A demo is worth a thousand pictures. That is the Storylane benefit for me.
Documentation very limited, difficult to delete screens in long demos
What do you like best about the product?
It is an easy tool to use and customize color palettes to match branding. Easy to edit short demos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to quickly edit redundant screen shots when demo is 20 or 30 screens. No documentation to address issue, decided to quit and go with Arcade over this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's not helping me tell the story I want to tell. I've spend days on this issue and am giving up.
Amazing productivity increase with ease of use/turnaround time
What do you like best about the product?
With screen capture it literally does almost everything for me. Animates the cursor movement, creates a callout, allows learners to click through. The AI voices are incredibly life-like. I'm using it for most of my projects now.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the AI audio, there's no closed captioning feature yet for accessibility
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly software walkthroughs for training. Where new features or changes are made or new software is implemented, learners walkthrough for a self-guided, self-paced, hands-on experience before getting into the actual software.
Great, easy to use product that makes you look professional!
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is simple to learn and use. To implement, simply navigate to the website, log in, and download the browser extension. It grabs very clear screenshots and the advanced features with HTML capture allow for some really cool abilities. Our software is very customizable with how it is set up and the HTML capture enables us to swap out some of the values on the screens in the demos to make them more appropriate for specific customers. The Customer support team has been amazing. They have dug into issues and offered great solutions. Our support person is available via our internal slack channel which makes accessing them very simple. Our team uses Storylane quite frequently as we have made walk throughs of many of the basic functions of our software. We then take those and embed them right into our KnowledgeBase which makes integrating them into places our customers can utilize them very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Storylane doesn't yet have an option to automatically add text to the various callouts, I would love to see some AI integrations with that ability to make editing the demos a bit quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storyline is allowing us to provide quick product walk throughs rather than creating videos that must be re-recorded when the software changes. In storyline we can simply swap out the screens that may change or simply create another walk through as they only take a few minutes to make.

Great product & amazing onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I like how fast the whole process was. I saw it on another website, scheduled a demo, made the purchase and had it up on our website in like 6 weeks (very fast for us with our stringent buying process). They were SO helpful getting us set up, even creating a Slack channel where we can message them with questions. I also like that all of the data gets piped into our Slack channel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little. I mean b/c they are a newer company, the product is still evolving on the daily so some expected features aren't there but they are responsive and happy to take in feedback. An example would be the Slack integration and what/when data gets passed over - need more flexibility there - but they were very responsive when we made the request.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our product can often be seen as "too good to be true" so we wanted people to be able to experience it without having to get on a call.
Storylane is crucial for product marketers
What do you like best about the product?
Creating demo tours is one of my sales team's favorite enablement resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes take some time to create the tours
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps me showcase our product through simple, interactive tours.
I like that we can use this with customers and with prospects.
I like that we can use this with customers and with prospects.
Great tool with a lot of flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
Two ways to make demos that are 'easy mode' and 'advanced mode' - you can cover the same content by making a quick draft in minutes or a really detailed demo that's entirely to your specifications
What do you dislike about the product?
Its sometimes overly simple and where I'd love to make a small edit the option just isn't there
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asynchronous demo that's interactive - our customers won't interact with just set of slides or just a voiceover
