Airtable Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Airtable is an interactive spreadsheet. It has far more functions than Google Sheets, and it's more easily customizable than Excel. We use Airtable as our database for our entire company.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only qualm with Airtable is not very easily being able to see the revision history of a table. Google sheets lets you see who made what changes when. You can revert back to earlier versions of the table, but you can't exactly trace what changed and who changed it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are not quite ready to custom code our own database/management system, but no existing software fits all of our needs. We are able to customize our needs to fit on Airtable for the time being.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great step before creating your own custom database or management system... It has so many APIs that integrate into almost any software you are already using. User friendly. The forms function is great for submitting requests, or for customer facing feedback, entries, etc.
Airtable is more than just business software - it is mental organization software
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable on its surface seems like a very simple tool that allows you to build spreadsheets in a pretty way. But once you begin to unlock the power of connecting sheets to each other, you can do so much more - the ability to build your own app for your specific need is incredibly powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the mobile app allowed the calendar view, that is a big limitation in my opinion
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have built out content calendars in Airtable, we have project management in Airtable, and I've even built a complex meal planning tool for personal use in Airtable.
Airtable - The Best Cloud Collaboration Service
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is the best and my ultimate favorite business investment I have ever made. Airtable saves me a large amount of time every single day. It is very easy to use and to teach others to use as well. They make it easy to grant and administer a variety of access levels to different users. They have fantastic customization features and make it easy to display data or content to clients or other company users in various ways with a ton of customization levels.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have zero issues with Airtable at all. The free version is great and has amazing capabilities and those only increase with the paid version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Airtable, I am trying to save time and display both content and data to a variety of clients in a variety of ways. It saves me time in my daily work by allowing me to easily import or export data. It allows me to customize, classify and update tables and columns in a variety fo very quick ways.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Airtable is freaking fantastic. It will save you loads of time every single day. It is worth the spend to invest in the paid version, but the free version is great as well. I suggest setting aside time to learn how to use the platform day one but you will not regret investing your time in it.
An Organizational Dream
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable's best feature is its UX/UI. Rather than share an excel sheet database, I'm able to use Airtable's share feature to export my database to the clients who need to see it. This allows for greater visibility into my line of business, my offerings and what's available or in-market.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting and chart capabilities are less than i would hope. They're definitely working on it (love Stacks), but would really benefit from some reporting out features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Airtable primarily as my database to track advertising placements across a wide range of platforms. What lives where and when, and then categorized by 'product'. I've been able to realize greater insight into network advertising, identifying what messaging is inconsistent and then Airtable has certainly helped keep track of what needs to come down when.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When first starting on the software, I found myself creating databases and then having to revise the format of my database to better fit the Airtable taxonomy. I would recommend poking around in the tool to begin and familiarizing yourself with how data can be organized prior to starting work in the tool.

Airtable makes it easy to keep track, costings, and other critical components needed in the Crane Sales industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing airtable could change, is the lag timing on the APP version. It could use some bug fixes.

Collaborating with other locations, inputting Repair Orders, and other critical information.

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable isn't just a spreadsheet software, it is a database that allows you to create dynamic connections between the pieces of data you are trying to manage. My favorite feature of Airtable is the breadth of datatypes, connections, layouts, and more. It's also incredibly intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a difficult time handling duplicates without severing certain connections. (Occasionally, Airtable would arbitrarily distribute connections between two duplicates, and there was no efficient way to consolidate them.) This is only an issue if you have lots of duplicates in your dataset connected to one entry in another table. (i.e. two registrations from the same school)
Additionally, and I believe this *is* Airtable's responsibility, the connection to Zapier is not great. We use Zapier to automate everything, and the connection from Cognito Forms to Airtable (specifically repeating fields/line-items to separate table lines) was awful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage all of our event registrations, budgets, and reimbursement calculations using Airtable. Previous to my use of Airtable, there was no easy way to look up event attendees that met varying criteria because those details were all in different spreadsheets. With Airtable, I was able to add all of our sheets to different tables and connect them dynamically.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explore all of their field types. I initially defaulted to the handful of field types that I was aware of, and later found that there were other field types that would have better suited my data. Really explore all of those types so that you understand how they relate to your data.

What do you like best about the product?
Love how everything updates in real time. Such an effective platform when we consistently have people accessing multiple tables at any given time.

No specific problems. Newest benefit realized recently was email client integration

Most effective tool for collaborating with multiple parties including volunteers. User friendly and intuitive. Updates in real time. Used daily for more functions that you can imagine! Also used to track registrations for all sorts of things.
