AirTable is the solution I was looking for
What do you like best about the product?
As a grant writer for an urban charter school with a robust fundraising program, I was looking for a platform that would help me track the many aspects of proposal writing ... deadlines, programs, donations sought, received and denied, etc., all in an easy-to-use format with multiple ways to see information. Airtable offers an affordable solution with the ability to do all of the above, and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! I'm a beginner user, so I plan to spend time learning more about all of Airtable's features. I was happy to find that I could import my data quickly into the the platform and start using it right away, even without the taking time to dive into the tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proposal writing is complex and deadline-driven. I need to be able to see at a glance a lot of information about potential funders quickly and efficiently. Airtable is benefitting my work and even makes it fun to keep track of everything. What was once very burdensome is now a seamless process.
Powerful, flexible and easy-to-use
What do you like best about the product?
After testing and/or using several project management tools, we finally decided for AirTable. It is really a great tool: powerful, flexible and easy-to-use. The fact that its core is a sort of spreadsheet is a brilliant idea: it makes the tool incredibly flexible compared to other project management tools. It is very simple to customize it to specific needs. It is also very powerful thanks to the different views and blocks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, the only feature that I miss is that changes in starting/ending date do not seem to automatically impact on those of dependent tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable for project management and team collaboration. It allowed us to have more precise tracking of tasks, better organization of our project, to easily switch between different time scales (short-term vs long-term objectives) and to use hybrid project management methods (agile + waterfall)
A Gamechanger & Dynamic Relational Database App for the Spreadsheet-Challenged
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has been a true game-changer! I've long been looking for a way to cross-link/cross-reference information and be able to quickly, easily, and dynamically "visualize" the same information in a variety of ways. For someone incredibly inept at Excel, Sheets, and virtually any spreadsheet, I've been able to dive into Airtable and create rather complex databases, complete with formulas, and even with multiple Zapier connections! As a startup nonprofit with a small budget and even smaller person-power, Airtable has been revolutionary.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the most inconvenient aspect is the inability to work offline, as with something like Notion. There are some limitations, such as cross-referencing other bases, or moving entire tables between bases, as well as with some cross-connection capabilities and formulas. The UI for expanded records is also visually confusing at times/not easy to read/navigate. Notifications are also a bit basic and can become overwhelming and hard to manage if there are multiple members on multiple bases communicating. I'd love to see the team communication become more dynamic as then it would make task-based project management far more of a possibility. But the Airtable is nothing if not determined to consistently update and improve the application—I have no doubt they will continue to expand features and functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything from using a base for an entire employee hiring process, from embdeded application form, to additional survey submission steps, evaluation, and more, to donor management, project management, data collection and processing, digital media organization, and more. Airtable has even helped with processing information that will end up outside of the app itself—if someone needs spreadsheet-based information from me, but require the end product be in Sheets or Excel, I pull it all into Airtable first, process it with formulas, cross-relations and everything Airtable makes SO much easier, then export it out! :) As a very small (like one person small) startup nonprofit, Airtable has made the compiling and processing of large amounts of information possible and far more labor-intensive than any other method, platform or application. And when the workload of an organization is way above its person-power, every minute counts!
Organize and prioritize projects
What do you like best about the product?
All projects are visible at a glance and it’s easy to set up different tables for different clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the cells can be tricky to add to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily see things that have yet to be accomplished and what is currently in the works or completed. Collaborate easily while working remotely.
Fantastic database solution
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Airtable so far is its ease of use combined with the powerful feature set. For anyone who has until now only been using spreadsheets as a database, Airtable is a huge turn for the better.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I really dislike, though I'd like to see some features such as a default value when working with multi-select fields. But none of these gripes keep me from using the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to keep track of thousands of contacts and organizations. Airtable allows me to seamlessly edit records across sheets and easily create forms for data entry, saving us tons of time.
Easy, expandable and overall excellent!
What do you like best about the product?
Having a real database (that looks like a spreadsheet) all online is far more powerful than a mere spreadsheet to manage data easily. There is good customer service and a growing number of more complex options to do things that previously only professional programmers could do.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, the only limitation I've found is being able to print hard copies of the database / records in a paper friendly format (kinda like Excel allows things to look neat and tidy on paper reports). I would like the feature to be good on screens & paper.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product orders were receipts are sent to customers. 12 people collaboratively managing attendance of participants at given events.

Team Collaboration and Organization - No Tech Degree Required!
What do you like best about the product?
Our higher education project center needed a simple but robust system that would allow us to organize our various programs and collaborate among team members. AirTable allows us to do that without spending valuable time trying to figure out how to use the tools available.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are at the beginning stage of using AirTable so we reserve judgment on reporting negatives when using the system. We do find the response time from administration to occasionally be a tad slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track participant and project stages. The interface is clean and simple. Instructions for using additional tools are user friendly. We are now able to standardize our team's progress, collaborate on projects, and collect valuable data within our day-to-day operations.
Perfect for cross-collabration
What do you like best about the product?
We have the ability to easily break apart large, complex projects into specific, actionable tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
More of our organization should be on this!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a marketing team for a nonprofit organization, we always have to be resourceful and nimble in our approach to creative campaigns. Airtable has helped us streamline the process from creative request to finished product--allowing us to use our time more efficiently.
Really functional and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The Kanban design is really helpful in our daily operations. We can see the detail of each concept and move it easily from one step or process to another. As well, the link of fields between tables makes information look more organized and synthetized.
What do you dislike about the product?
We cannot link data from one base to another. We need to process and update some data manually in several bases; it would be great if we could do this automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business operation is increasing, due to this we are migrating our operation to Airtable. We have our order and fulfillment operations, where our suppliers are in contact with us; everything on real time. There we can make comments about an order or something specific. We also have a CRM, clients database, suppliers database, among others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I totally recommend it. It’s really easy to use, everything is on real time and you can organize your information in several ways according to your needs and preferences. Also, Airtable uses lots of colors, which makes easier to recognize the information and process it.
The answer to our organization needs
What do you like best about the product?
This program is amazing!! We are a non-profit group of artists who run a studio tour, have scholarship competitions...etc. We have no physical office. This allows us to manage our volunteers tasks and to assure that everyone is getting their jobs done in a timely manner. We started using the trial and I have had no trouble convincing the rest of the board that we need to spend the money on this. I love being able to upload from all our various sources. We also don't have "employees" we have 70+ artist/volunteers who take different tasks to make our events happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing (and maybe I haven't found the solution yet) is I'd like to be able to get totals on the list view. For example, to have the totals that we're spending on media buys. Wish the per user price went down with quantity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our advertising block, I have uploaded the media sheets, put in the ads we're buying, the sizes, the costs... now, even if I'm not available, our designer can figure out what's going on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the trial! You'll see the benefits.
