Bringing our organization into the future

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about AirTable is that it is easy to use and has so much potential for future development. It is also so versatile, we can solve many of our organizational issues with AirTable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't hit a thing yet. Just to have something here, I would say that it does take some setup time, and working with a person on staff for even one implementation call would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several. But one is that we need a document management system that allows our instructional designers to enter new records on the content they are developing and for others to easily and with a clean interface search and retrieve that information.

Easy To Use, Easy to Collaborate

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is easy to get non-technical users to work on in the ways that make the most sense to them. Anyone who has used a spreadsheet can become a poweruser of this database tool in hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm looking forward to being able to embed blocks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Membership database, basic data vis, better forms. With airtable, we can have and manage a database without having to manage a database.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get everyone using it before making a "big switch." Everyone will come to the same conclusion that it is the right tool for a great number of jobs, but they need to use it to know that.

Great system for expanding collaboration capabilities

What do you like best about the product?
The fluid way Airtable allows our team to collaborate on multiple projects. The interface is extremely well-designed and provides multiple beneficial tools. The design is very intuitive and allows for quick setup of workspaces.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there is nothing I dislike about Airtable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is growing quickly and previously everyone was involved in all details of projects as they happened. As we have grown and hired more people, this is no longer a feasible approach. Airtable provides a great way for our project managers to stay informed about projects without being involved in all the daily decision-making. It also allows team members to collaborate easily on projects in our mobile environment.

Great tool for collaborative spreadsheet work

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has quickly become a crucial part of our work flow management. We are able to instantly access updated real-time databases across all of our community school sites!
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point we haven’t found any issues with Airtable!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a longtime problem around managing a single database across multiple sites.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that the data is so easy to manipulate is one of Airtable's greatest features. Linking records can be confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's so easy to adapt to what you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of functionality around formulas is frustrating, particularly date-based formulas. In this sense, Excel or Google Sheets still remains superior, but there are definitely workarounds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of out events, individual's progress on tasks, and easy reporting. Before we transitioned to Airtable, monthly reporting used to take a few hours to collate all the data. Now it's done in less than 15 minutes - huge savings in time!

Highly recommend!

Brilliant, easy to use, powerful

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility, ease of use, and its combination power as both a data management and project management tool. This is a weird thing to say, but it makes us happy - empowered and in control of our data, with tools to improve work flow and collaboration as a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn’t a dislike exactly, more like a realistic caution that because Airtable is really, really easy to use straight out of the box, it takes a little while to understand both its constraints and its real power as an analytic and reporting tool. If you need to go beyond a simple dataset, you totally can - just be ready to give the investment of time and thought that you would in any traditional database design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud technology means all data is secure and available real-time for all our team, wherever they work. It eliminates the need for costly in house or external consultants with technological expertize that as a small nonprofit we just cannot access. The collaboration features are really stellar, for example, we can send a link to an instructor that gives them real time data on course registrations as they come in, eliminating the need for creating and emailing multiple reports.

Easy to Use!

What do you like best about the product?
AirTable is super easy to use and really flexible!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm only limited by my creativity with the program - but I would love more ideas to help me get started! The library is a super helpful place to start, though!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a school, and we use it to track a number of student items (bathroom log, facilities requests, etc.)

Great management tool for a non-profit

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has almost everything we need. Our team uses it for event management, network and engagement, and project updates. We track everything including bookings, deadlines, grants and expenditure. From our old spreadsheets, we transformed our data into a powerful system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike to be honest. Becoming familiar with the app may take a while, but once you're set up and running, the world is your oyster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our internal organisation has improved lots since we started using the app. We are collaborating better as a team, keeping track of our current projects and recording new ideas, as well as establishing standardisation of processes. The main benefit is that all the information we need lives in one place.

An Excellent, Modern Database Solution

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable was first recommended by a colleague as a solution to managing our social media workflow. As we dug into the features, we quickly realized the possibilities of using Airtable to integrate our entire event-based workflow. From creating a directory of people to managing events from concept to historical archive, Airtable is an extremely flexible platform. The integration possibilities with Zapier and the newly released Block features make this an ideal platform for our organization. It just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot you can do through cross-referencing items in Airtable, and unfortunately the appearance of spreadsheet can be confusing initially. This leads to a lot of trial-and-error when building a working database and training new users. While the documentation is rich and extensive, more how-to guides for less tech savvy users would go a long way in a transition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable has helped our organization collaborate and share information across departments. In the past, we would create individual spreadsheets every time someone needed specific information. With Airtable, the majority of our information lives in one place, and communication between departments is already increasing. The possibilities for automation with Blocks and Zapier have been very helpful in slowly moving workflows over, such as by creating an automated social media and email history in Airtable. Rather than overwhelm with information, the ability to make custom, personalized views that connect with the main database really brings the program to the next level.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's a lot possible with Airtable, so experiment and you're bound to find solutions that you weren't expecting to find.

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is extremely easy to use and is very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to connect Zapiet to use integrations, which is a cost that we’re not willing to incur.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We store all of our contact information and our directories in one place for the company to access.

Do not be afraid to play around with the features of their bases.
