Create and customize your work applications with Airtable's features.
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is high performance software for creating the best digital applications for your organization, reducing complex processes and facilitating the management of all your work applications.
In addition, Airtable offers dedicated and competent customer service, aimed at satisfying the requirements and requests of each user.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing bad to say about Airtable's digital features and resources, I think it is a high performance technical software program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating my digital applications is much more professional and easier using Airtable's virtual features and resources, improving my productivity and helping me meet my professional goals.
Has required stronger collaboration features while still supporting complex project workflows
What is our primary use case?
I basically use Airtable for client projects and my own personal projects. As a freelancer, whenever a client wants to work on projects involving project management, inventory management, and CRM for businesses, I use Airtable to create their dashboards and automation that helps their workflow easier and runs things behind the scene.
I used it for stock management for an e-commerce brand that deals with clothing stores to help them track their incoming sales and stock levels. I also used Airtable with Softr; I used Airtable to design a tech school for users and students who wanted to register within the tech academy, and I used Softr for the front end to design the application for the school. Airtable was the back end while Softr was the front end for that project.
On my personal level, I use Airtable extensively to keep track of my tasks. Whenever I have a project for a client, I log that project on my own Airtable, track the progress, and track milestones as I deliver them to the client. For my activities at home, if I don't want to forget any event, I keep it on Airtable and create automation that reminds me about the event.
What is most valuable?
The best features in Airtable include the flexibility and the fact that I could create relational databases. Before I started using Airtable, I was using Excel which didn't offer these capabilities. The ability to create relationships between tables and see through what's working in other departments is great for me. I can do scripting and work on large data sets on Airtable. It makes it easy for me, as working on those data sets on Excel tends to slow me down, but on Airtable, it's much faster.
I can integrate Airtable with other platforms; aside from the native integration where I can send notifications to Slack teams and messages to Gmail, I can also connect with Make.com to share data. The interface on Airtable is exceptional. Working for my clients, when a client didn't want access given to all teams, we structured that on the interface and the different teams got different access to different tables.
Airtable's rich field types help in organizing complex data for my team. The advanced field types work exceptionally with features such as linking records together. I can link records from other tables and see what's happening, use the lookup field, the roll-up field, and the count field to see what's occurring in other departments and generate insights. Unlike other CRMs, data cannot enter if it's not properly structured. If I want to input an email and it's not valid, it won't allow it because it expects the data to be structured appropriately.
What needs improvement?
What I would to see improved in Airtable is a chat feature. I really want to see a scenario where collaborators working on a project could easily chat, asking questions and discussing changes immediately on the project. I would love to see something a chat app on Airtable where we could communicate as we work on a project.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Airtable for more than 12 months now, having started using it around November 2024.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have worked with other project management solutions apart from Airtable, including HubSpot, Trello, and Monday.com.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Airtable is very straightforward and not complex at all. If you're familiar with Google Sheets and Excel, you can easily understand Airtable. Just by looking at it, you can see the fields and understand that certain places are for short text, names, phone numbers, and emails. You can connect buttons to access another portal or URL. Looking at everything, you can figure things out even before going to the academy or YouTube to study. Airtable has made everything easy; you can look at the platform on your own, spend time with it, and figure everything out.
What was our ROI?
I have seen the return on investment with Airtable. When I deliver work, the ROI is for their business. On my end as a freelancer, I use it to track projects that I work with for clients and my own personal dealings. I use it to monitor my performance as a freelancer, checking if I'm doing work and delivering on time. For clients' projects, I don't really investigate their ROI unless such discussion is requested.
What other advice do I have?
The integration aspect has helped my team's workflows by making operations run smoothly. For the inventory store project, whenever stock alert was low, the team receives automatic notification when the threshold was low without someone needing to review the base. The head of the team receives notification and places orders for that product.
With integration through Make.com and Zapier, data coming in from external sources can be stored in Airtable for future records. The seamless integration with Airtable doesn't require stress or searching for APIs. Airtable's API easily connects with Make.com and Zapier, and the flow goes seamlessly.
The benefit of using customizable views for managing projects is that clients can see things differently. The Kanban view allows progress tracking, the Gantt view works for project management, and the calendar view with color coding helps visualize project dates. Each view is perfectly customized to meet specific purposes.
I have utilized collaboration tools in Airtable and worked with different teams successfully. Though you can't immediately see when someone is working, the structure allows each collaborator to work on their project while maintaining sync with others' work. Setting up new workflows using Airtable typically takes between two to three hours for small projects, and one to three days for complex projects requiring multiple reviews.
Airtable's pricing is perfect with different plans for different needs. Small businesses can choose suitable plans, and there's still a free feature available. The pricing is fair and accessible for every business plan.
Airtable does it all with Excel database functionality, spreadsheet capabilities, automation, and visually appealing interfaces. Data insights change in real-time, making it flexible and user-friendly. When I started using Airtable, I progressed from beginner to almost pro within 24 hours because it was easy to understand.
Airtable is a great platform for any organization, offering seamless operation and perfect interface to showcase products to clients and staff. Different access levels can be set for customers, staff, and management. For organizations working with large datasets, the enterprise plan provides ample space.
My rating for Airtable is 10 out of 10.
Powerful AI-Enhanced Tool with Great Features, but Steep Learning Curve and Price
What do you like best about the product?
This is a very powerful tool enhanced by AI. It offers team-friendly spreadsheets that are connected to a robust database, all without the need for any coding. I appreciate the smart columns, such as checkboxes and attachments, which make organizing information much easier. My favorite features are definitely the calendar and the Kanban board, as they help me stay organized and manage tasks efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as intuitive or opinionated as Trello or Asana, so you need to create your own workflow from scratch. The cost can increase quickly, especially as your needs grow. Performance also tends to slow down with larger projects, and the analysis features are quite limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Facilitating connections between employees and current projects and workflows.
Airtable is great!
What do you like best about the product?
I love using forms to autopopulate information and keep track of records
What do you dislike about the product?
The automations can be hard to figure out. I wish when someone fills out a form, they can receive a copy of their response without having an Airtable account. This function used to be available without creating an automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us keep track of sign-ups, event sales and student records in one place
Flexible database solution that revolutionized our project management approach
What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive interface combines the familiarity of spreadsheets with the power of relational databases seamlessly. Custom views and filtering options allow each team member to see exactly the data they need for their role. The automation features have eliminated countless manual tasks and reduced human error in our processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can become expensive quickly as you add more users and need advanced features like automations. Some complex reporting capabilities require workarounds or third-party integrations to achieve desired results. The learning curve for advanced features like complex formulas and scripting can be challenging for less technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable solved our major challenge of managing customer success data across disconnected spreadsheets and systems that led to duplicate work and missed opportunities. Previously, our team struggled with version control issues and couldn't easily track relationships between accounts, contacts, and projects. The lack of real-time collaboration meant important updates were often missed or delayed.
Flexible Alternative to Costly Systems
What do you like best about the product?
I can build dynamic, automated workflows in Airtable that go far beyond what Excel or Google Sheets allow. It’s not just a spreadsheet; it’s a flexible system that combines databases, project management, and automation all in one place. We use the system in our daily tasks to manage leave of absence request. Customer Support is super easy to reach with questions if you have the Enterprise plan and implementation is super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Airtable allows third-party app creators to gatekeep certain features, instead of making those tools accessible to all users within the platform. All integrations aren't built the same, for example it's nearly impossible to integrate with Workday without a professional session with Airtable pros.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is helping us manage our workers compensation and leave of absence claims.
Great tool, has changed the way we manage data and projects A*************
What do you like best about the product?
Great to for data management, reporting and dashboards, we can manage and structure our data in an easy way for all stakeholders to be able to view. Its also a great tool to use with suppliers as we can work seamlessly in the same place on various projects. Overall its fairly easy to use, implement and navigate and it integrates with pretty much everything so it can form the core of your data / reporting requirements that you use regularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not the easiest platform to set-up and getting running like with all data platforms, but overall once you are up and running it is very easy to use. Sometimes its hard to get data tables integrated and talking to each other but it usually works out fine in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall using dozens of reporting tools means that we need a place to manage and structure the reporting data. Airtable does this and overall it helps manage campaigns and ultimately gives us ROI to the bottom line, it also provides productivity improvements for us.
Versatile accessible tool
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very intuitive and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent updates have made linked fields and tables a lot more confusing than it used to be.
There's no way to send a file in response to submitting a form. This makes it harder to use Airtable for RSVPs, as it would be ideal to be able to autosend a calendar invite (for example) in response to someone registering for an event through a form.
Customer support is meh, the AI version on the website is bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information storage and sharing, events, tracking
You Have My Vote!

I wish there was a better way to toggle between dashboards and reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping information neat and organized
I have been using Airtable for a couple of years now. It is very user friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful tools within Airtable have been the extensions and the conditioning that I am able to do. Airtable is super user friendly and the implementation was a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have not found a downside of Airtable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable has made our project management process so much easier. We were using excel sheets for project plans when I first came into project management and Airtable has made our team much more efficient.
