Solution for Lots of Moving Parts

What do you like best about the product?
This tool has been especially helpful for managing large volumes of data that needs to be administered for a large pool of program participants. It easily disseminates the information for those folks, while also keeping everything manageable for me as the admin. Most important to that is the function of Automations and extensions, that allow AirTable to have some of the functions of a CRM, with much greater flexibility to manipulate and filter data as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occassionally, there are clearly missing features that would be standard on other products. like allowing for records to update in 2 directions, so if the data is changed in one place, that is reflected in the other. Typically AirTable only allows for 1 directional updates, except in certain scenarios with syncing that often requires data to be managed down to very small details.

Also, while the tool really works great for non-users that just need to access information or fill out a form, it has a pretty steep learning curve for users. It very much needs an admin, and either a unanimous agreement on how data will be entered by users or extremely meticulous attention to detail in setting up the initial sorting/plan for each base and dataset.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It primarily solves our need for spreadsheets that easily cross reference each other, so we only have to edit data in one place to have it updated everywhere. This specifcally allows us to have different views for different needs, and speeds up a project.

It also solves some 1-1 communication challenges by allowing for easy automated communication based on dynamic data, which eliminates steps for us as a very small team.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the functionality it has to offer, which is available out of the box.
It has a nice balance between ease of use and functionality.
Novice users can implement a quick and easy solution in no time, while more advanced users have a lot to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain restrictions make it needlessly expensive or limited. For example stronger integration with storage solutions like Google Drive.
Customer support is not the most responsive, but the community is usually fast to step in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as a custom warehouse and order managment solution, among other things.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to automate functions and trigger specific groups based on certain input criteria. Setting up fields and automations is very easy and it is very easy to train personnel to interface and build their own systems. Using this not only as a daily task tracker, but also an inter-departmental communication channel makes cross functional processes operate smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
The differences between mobile and desktop interfaces make certain functions more difficult to use.

What do you like best about the product?
I used AirTable to manage a nonprofit's database of new play scripts and reading process. It was incredibly versatile, intuitive for new users, and portable compared to our previous work in FileMaker. We still use AirTable as a core part of the team's daily information management.
What do you dislike about the product?
As our database grew in size, the ease of navigating AirTable was sometimes noticeably slower -- we would have happily paid for lower latency but it wasn't an option that was readily available for purchase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Airtable, we were able to organize scripts submitted by playwrights (including PDFs), track on the progress of the script through our organization, and also track on feedback given by agents, script development staff, and artistic leadership.

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is an absolute gamechanger for startups and SMBs. It allowed my company to quickly build all the backend systems we needed to run our business. Now everyone is in perfect sync, can easy connect to the information they need, and automations keep everyone informed in real time and reduce huge amounts of manual work.

All the data on work management shows you can save employees 3 hours or more a day by having smooth seamless systems, this can seem like an exagerration from the outside, but with experience we have found it to be true. Airtable has saved us vast amounts of time and confusion, and allowed us to build systems custom-tailored to our exact business processes. Before no code tools like Airtable, it was extremely expensive to devote developers to building backend tools (which didn't always work), but now you can build them yourself and get exactly what you need. My team uses this product often every single day.

Any startups still running on spreadsheets, get off them now and get on Airtable. It will pay for itself many times over in no time.

I couldn't recommend Airtable more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable is an absolutely fantastic tool. It has many templates and quick start features so you can get value out of it immediately.

To create the most robust system and get the most value out of it, I suggest being ready to invest learning effort in Airtable. It's advanced features are similar to learning spreadsheets, but more time consuming. However, each one you learn will give huge payoffs. This isn't a downside, as the tool is useful from the start, and just gives larger payoffs as you invest and learn more. But I suggest devoting learning time to get the truly high payoffs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable keeps everyone in my business coordinated, with all the business information they need right at their fingertips - project information, production schedules, POs, invoices, inventory information, sales data etc. It provides the perfect business backend system.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that the approach to creating automations and interfaces is so accessible. I'm able to curate specifically what our team needs as new workflows and challenges come together.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to customize the visual design of interfaces is pretty limited. You're unable to add specific graphics/colors/different fonts. If we had more design options universally across the various interface platforms, it'd be easier to communicate updates and keep people organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run a digital studio that pumps out a ton of deliverables per month for YouTube. Airtable has allowed us to assign and communicate project details to our 40+ producer/editors. It also gives them a space to add deliverable links, or request cpations, graphics, submit links for approvals at different levels, and so on...

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is great low cost way to build out a database. We have partners across different channels and platforms and needed a place to consolidate all of this information. It took some time to set this up but once it was set up, we used it everyday with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really for the price we paid. If I had to say something it would be that there's a learning curve to it so I had to learn everything from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many different marketing partners on multiple channels and platforms. We used Airtable to consolidate all of the info in one place so that we can better track our actions and plan our strategy.

What do you like best about the product?
I love all of the different ways you can view information. I use the templates often which makes my job easier. It's intuitive and easy to use and they are always expanding the capabilities of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to easily meet with an Airtable rep to discuss how I want to use it and have someone help me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made it easy to track our new hires and see survey responses. We didn't have a good system for this before. I use it all the time to keep track of internal communications and virtual meeting sign ups.

What do you like best about the product?
AirTable allows our team to connect all the facets of our organization's work, tracking workflows and centralizing information with super flexible interfaces. Additionally, the online tutorials and help resources allowed our small team to implement AirTable quickly and easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a small nonprofit, more design features when creating interfaces would allow us to use those interfaces as public-facing, as opposed to our current system of extracting data for branded reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our nonprofit does multiple, often unrelated tasks, as well as the normal business of tracking contacts, grants, volunteers, and donors. The flexibility of AirTable means that we can track all our functions in one system and connect the dots internally, which we couldn't do in more traditionally designed and sales-focused systems.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a spreadsheet that takes into account the way humans work. Unbounded by the limitations of the grid. It's a database for those who don't know SQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you get into needing formulas for things you're on your own. Bad for anything that requires math.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helped my team take importatnt processes out of email and put them into a trackable system that can be easily parsed for status and data.
