Using Keeper as the company wide password manager

  • September 20, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Keeper provides a fully cloud fully SaaS password manager that allows our users to log in with their corporate identity.
Extensions and applications are provided for all major platforms.
Subdomains can be recognized separately for autofill purposes, which is very helpful for development or test environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the extensions had issues logging in with the SSO option, requiring a user to uninstall and reinstall the app.
Currently there are limited options for administrators to modify records created by other users, but this is coming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to be able to share logins between a dispersed remote team in a secure way. Keeper allowed us to do this while controlling shared access and auditing who accessed individual records.

What do you dislike about the product?
There have not been any downsides other than the work of populating the database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has allowed us to create one database with varying levels of access.

A strong focus on enterprise features, quick and responsive support

  • September 20, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Keeper has many enterprise features that work well out of the box. It integrates easily with our preferred Identity Provider, and was very quick to implement. I love the technical documentation and the quick update cadence.
What do you dislike about the product?
The browser extension could use some work still. Auto Fill and Auto Submit frequently fill the incorrect information into the wrong fields (and submits them), so much so that I disabled Auto Submit for our entire organization. This is the single biggest thing Keeper could improve to make our experience much better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a lot of employees using personal password managers for business credentials, which is a huge risk. We wanted a password manager that had a focus on enterprise-grade features, something we could roll out to everyone and force them to use. BreachWatch has been a really nice addition, to see how many employees are re-using passwords (or using breached passwords).

Great Product with good support and effective features

What do you like best about the product?
Keeper has easy password and folder sharing, which is very important. The feature that clinched the deal was the ability to move vaults to a new user. As IT Admins, dealing with lost passwords due to an unfriendly separation with an employee can be quite a challenge, so this feature was a must.
What do you dislike about the product?
Keeper in the browser can be a little finicky recognizing the correct subdomain for a login. Internally, where we run multiple services as subdomains of our primary domain, it can struggle to present the correct login based on the subdomain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password management is a must. It has provided a good solution for our company in migrating away from insecure password use.

What do you dislike about the product?

Reducing risks of storing credentials in local drives , excel sheets and other space.
Easy Monitoring and audit.

Keeper checks all of our business' boxes

  • September 20, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an administrator, Keeper was an easy choice because of its robust product and its incredible customer service team. Deployment was a breeze, their help articles helped streamline onboarding, and their UX design is impressive. As a user, I could not be happier with my experience. From custom record types to its clean search feature to secure password sharing, and everything in between, I would recommend Keeper to anyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an admin it has been frustrating not being able to assign people to "Teams" before they enroll. Having to remember to go back and add them after (or sometimes forgetting entirely) has been a challenge. Sometimes the "sharing" settings on shared folders can be unintuitive and I have come across situations where people have read/write permissions but could only read. This could be user error, but it has been sometimes difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we are a remote company, cybersecurity is at the forefront of our business, and we needed a reliable and secure system that was easy for all employee types to use in order to securely create, store, and share passwords.

Interesting for security automation

  • June 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
User interface is easy to use and intuitive. Sharing secrets with persons in my organization is easy and fast!
Ability to access the vault programatically with python and javascript has been great for our automation needs
What do you dislike about the product?
When sharing secrets, folder structure is not mantained which makes it REALLY hard for the receiving user to organize secrets.
When restoring deleted secrets from the recycle bin, folder structure is not mantained
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing database credentials is always tricky, by automating using KSM, the process is now done securely and automatically. Our delivery time for new infrastructure deployments has been cut significantly
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Completely understand how KSM and one time tokens work its paramount to a correct product usage

Keeper Password Manager is worth Keeping

  • May 03, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features is the ability to auto-login to sites when using Keeper.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the initial dashboard when logging into the app looks somewhat unorganized and could use some clean up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not constantly resetting passwords anymore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When migrating from another solution the data doesn't always transfer correctly so just be aware of that. We weren't able to get much tech support on this issue.

Top of the class password manager with minor areas of improvement

  • March 02, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Keeper is easy to install and deploy, even in larger organizations (through SAML and SSO). It has a clear structure and offers a great UX through its browser plugins. Apart from storing passwords, Keeper's Vault offers additional functionalities that increase an organization's level of cybersecurity.
What do you dislike about the product?
In its mission to force users to use Keeper, it is sometimes annoying that one can't easily exclude some domains/websites from Keeper's prompts. If for some reason you don't want to store a password for a specific website in Keeper, it will push you hard to do so or to disable the prompts at all.
Also sometimes the sync between Keeper across multiple devices works with a delay, i.e. you may save a password through the browser plugin but it's not immediately available on your Keeper mobile app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing and especially sharing passwords among business users.
Storing and sharing corporate credit card details.
Raising awareness of the need to follow basic cybersec hygiene within the organization.
