A Game-Changer for Sales Call Analysis

  • February 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love using Gong to analyze sales calls, prepare for upcoming meetings, and write follow-up emails. It really helps create a repeatable process for every prospect and provides valuable insights on my performance. I especially appreciate the feature that helps me prepare for meetings, as I often have back-to-back meetings and don't have time to re-read my notes. I'm impressed with the amount of data I get on each call and how quickly I can prepare for meetings. Also, everything worked seamlessly for me as soon as Gong went live, and I could easily see all the calls I ran on my calendar.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main complaints are the time it takes for calls to analyze, especially when they are over 45 minutes in length. Sometimes for last minute meetings they do not get captured by Gong and require me to manually upload the call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Gong to analyze sales calls, prepare for meetings, and write follow-up emails. It creates a repeatable process, offers valuable insights on my performance, and saves time by letting me quickly prepare for back-to-back meetings without rereading notes.

AI summaries have transformed call prep and secure sharing, and now improve client trust

  • February 19, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Gong has two parts: one is for sending the recording to the client in a secure way, and the other one is to prepare for calls. I go into the account and see what has been done and everything is just right there.

A quick specific example of how I use Gong to prepare for calls is that I had to cover for another coworker, and Gong sends a link or an email that allows me to see what has been done and talked about with the client. That helped me to prepare because I didn't have any background and I didn't have a ton of time as this was last minute.

What is most valuable?

I really appreciate the tool; it summarizes everything, it's very user-friendly, and I can type in a word that maybe I remember the customer mentioned, and it will highlight that part for me so I can go back and say, "Hey, I remember you said so and so," and I really appreciate that part of the platform.

The best features Gong offers include the email that lets me prepare for the call and gives me a summary of everything that has been done. I don't remember the name specifically, but it's similar to prepare with AI or prepare for your call or something along those lines, and definitely, that's what has made a difference for me.

The summary helps me save time or work more efficiently because I don't have to go through all the calls and emails trying to understand what was discussed. I don't have to go in-depth to listen to the call and grasp what were the main ideas or what could be missing. It actually gives me everything with bullet points and sections. I know it was only yesterday, but I was reading through, and it was so good and so summarizing. I really loved that.

Gong has positively impacted my organization because it provides a secure way for us to share recordings with our clients, and it also uses AI to translate what is being said, which is helpful in case they share this recording with somebody who cannot hear very well. They can actually read, and the subtitles are pretty accurate. Every now and then it will miss a word, but thinking of being more inclusive, Gong is a great tool for that. If I have the summary and can read through, I can show up to the call prepared; I will feel more confident, and clients will know that even though maybe they had a call a few months ago with an AE, because I listened to it or read the summary, I already know what they said and I'm not going to ask, "Hey, what's your goal?" I saw actually that this is one of your goals. How's everything going? Have you tried this feature? And I can have a more specific conversation with the client and take into consideration things that have already been discussed.

What needs improvement?

Gong is such a great tool that it's hard for me to give input. I'm fascinated by it, and they always send emails about what has been changed recently. I don't have any suggestions at this time.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for almost a year now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Gong is stable.

How are customer service and support?

I have never needed customer support for Gong. The tool is very user-friendly, and I've never had glitches or anything.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Negative

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use any different solution; I did not use any other recordings. I have seen Zoom does the same thing and provides a recording and will give a summary, but it's nothing close to what Gong does.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Gong is to go for it. It's really easy to use, the recordings are very good, it has transcripts, and I can ask something about the call, and it will generate the answer with AI. It provides a safe platform for your clients to go back and watch the recording, and it lets me know when somebody has watched the recording. If someone is just starting, I can save calls, create files of calls that I really liked, and share them with new employees to help them see how calls should be handled or examples of great customer service or people thinking outside of the box. It allows me to focus not only on clients but also on training new employees, and I think that's a pretty cool feature. I would rate this product a ten out of ten.

Gong’s AI Summaries and Analytics Make Call Reviews and Coaching Effortless

  • February 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the new AI summarizations and recommendations for my opportunity notes, and the analytics from the AI listening. But even before the Ai tools were introduced, Gong provided a great way to review calls, get coaching, and revisit previous conversations with prospects and clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration with SFDC is annoyingly slow to sync (though it's possible we have it on an SFTP instead of an API for some reason), andGong's transcription and AI recognition isn't the best, but functionality-wise, Gong really does everything I have wanted or expected it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong gives us opportunities to be better coached on our sales conversations and talk tracks, as well as revisiting details or contested information. We also use it for forecasting and deal notes. It provides great visibility into deal command analytics for managers.

What do you like best about the product?
Gemini said
Gong is a Revenue Intelligence Platform designed to give sales teams visibility into their deals by recording, transcribing, and analyzing every interaction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Platform Fees: Many teams are surprised by the high upfront platform fees (often $5,000+) before they even pay for individual user seats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is primarily solving the problem of "The Black Box of Sales." Traditionally, once a sales rep hops on a call, the details of that conversation are lost to everyone else unless the rep manually (and often incompletely) types them into a CRM.

Impressive Handling of Technical Jargon and Accents

  • February 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It handles technical jargon and accents impressively well
What do you dislike about the product?
While Gong is great at tracking keywords (like "pricing"), it often misses intent. It might flag a "pricing" discussion even if the customer was just making a joke or referring to a competitor's old model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of relying on a rep's "gut feeling," Gong's Predictive Intelligence uses over 300 unique signals (like buyer engagement and sentiment) to provide a 95% accurate forecast.

Seamless Meetings and Summaries with Gong

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Gong for recording and reviewing meetings as well as getting summaries of calls I missed. It automatically logs all calls, so I don't have to upload them anywhere. Transcription and summarization features give me valuable time back in my day because I don't have to rewatch the whole session again. I also find it helpful for coaching and better value selling. The full-featured Sales Dashboard is a real asset because it helps me close better. Setting up Gong was easy for me as an end-user.
What do you dislike about the product?
The auto-generated Follow Up emails could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Gong to automatically log and summarize calls, which gives me valuable time back. It helps with meeting recordings, coaching, and Value Selling. The transcription and summarization features mean I don't need to rewatch full sessions.

Ending the Guesswork, Total Pipeline Visibility and AI-Driven Deal Protection with Gong

  • February 04, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Gong has become my absolute favorite tool for maintaining a pulse on our entire pipeline without having to attend every single call. I love the Activity timeline in the Deals view, its incredibly helpful to see a visual map of touchpoints, like those for Acme Ltd so I can instantly tell if a deal is heating up or cooling down.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the interface is powerful, the initial setup for mapping complex CRM stages and custom deal warnings can be a bit technical to navigate. I've noticed that if multiple people speak at once in a large brainstorming session.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong has solved our deal blindness by turning every recorded conversation and email into a searchable data points. It has eliminated the friction of manual status updates, as the system automatically tracks the Next Call and current Stage for all 203 active deals.
