Lifesaver for Sales people
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to auto-locate meetings on your calendar and start taking notes. Not only it can record but also creates a transcript which one can refer to. Probably the feature to translate and create a copy in your local language from other language helped me a lot
What do you dislike about the product?
So far don't see much that I dislike, everything looks good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping a copy of my meetings
ability to refer to the transcript in case I forget any details
Language translation from audio to notes
Helpful insights like dialogue & monologue time.
helps me be effective and confident that i am not going to miss any crucial info about my meetings and I always have a copy to refer.
Also, the ability to listen to you conversations greatly helps in understanding and improving yourself.

Enablement staple
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool for identifying and communicating "what good looks like" and using it to onboard new hires. We save a lot of snippets and use them as social proof for trainings, rollouts, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little more reporting flexibility would be nice so we're not having to export and make a ton of pivots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to chunk coaching when you have reps source calls for you. Good way to create visibility for other team members on what successes are happening.
Gong is a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is an amazing tool for learning from your calls and also keeping track of conversations to go back and reference. It gives me insights on what my filler words are, keywords mentioned in my calls, or details on whether I should talk longer, have more patience, etc. I'm also a big note taker, but it can distract from me actively listening and having a good conversation. Now I can take high level notes and know that I can go back to reference Gong if I missed anything. It helps me engage better. Lastly, it helps onboard new reps quicker, because you can listen to the top rep's calls and hear how they pitch the product, address objections, etc. Highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Gong could create a little better interface for organizing calls. If I want to go listen to the best discovery calls, demos, closing calls, it's not easy to know what calls I should be listening to. You can create folders but it takes a lot of manual work to sort through calls & categorize them. Some automation perhaps to help sort good/bad calls and what types of calls they are would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving my process in sales, faster training times, ability to learn from top reps, ability to take less notes and go back and listen to calls if I missed anything.
Great tool for reps
What do you like best about the product?
The first thing to catch my eye is how easy it is to use a tool like Gong. There is nothing that I need to do on my end to make sure that Gong is recording, just jump into my client Zoom meeting and voila! I have my recording. The insights provided by Gong are great, like pointing out next steps, how much time I talked vs. my customer, action items, etc. I don't know how many times I jump back into Gong to find next steps and they already have them blocked off for me. Very helpful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a hassle to find the call that I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am always working to make sure I follow-up the 70/30 rule (I talk for 30% of the call, while my prospect talks for 70%). Having this insight is a great reminder that I talk too much, and I need to listen more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you or your manager have any sort of coaching that involves listening to recorded calls, I would highly recommend checking out Gong.
Fast, efficient and accurate
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the annotation features, reminders and organization that the software provides. Great to see an accurate and searchable voice to text system that is easy to pickup and use without a large amount of formal training. Would be ideal to get some monthly deal in review features such as the beta that is currently being tested.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times voice to text can be repetitive, would be great with more constructive feedback on individual sales process and suggest resources to help with certain situations. Ideally sales and advice centred videos and links to popular articles and key contributors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and clarity is the main benefits from gong, would be great to get more constructive feedback from this information and move to a more interactive system. The main benefit I have seen is accuracy in deal details in past conversations, keeps me organized in terms of dates, times and pain points. Saves repeat calls and emails for clarification and ensures that what I said actually happened within a call.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good system that is quite intuitive and quick to pick up full for useful information and features. Would be a benefit to any sales organization looking to improve their overall organization and accuracy within the sales process. Would be ideal to have been using this program a few years ago. Good to level up your sales and organizational knowledge through listening to others calls and customer interactions.
Gong Review
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is very useful for understanding what works well and doesn't work well with certain types of calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I have noticed negatively about Gong is how it only tracks certain calls and not all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to figure out the analytics better. Biggest benefits are seeing the percentage used for each type of phrase.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend using it for sales training, figuring out what works and what doesn't.
Amazing tool. Could be better with integrations.
What do you like best about the product?
Transcripts and snippets make the ability to hand off and turn over items seamless. We use this within our organization on a very frequent basis and have ran into no real issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing is a little cumbersome. It would be great if the product had integrations with common chat applications organizations use.(Slack, Teams, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better visibility between Support Engineering, Sales to post-sales, Development and Product notification on feature requests or bug tickets.
Gong has been influential in sales training and breaking down conversations with my clients.
What do you like best about the product?
I would say the breakdown it shows when you are talking vs the other individual. You can see the statistics very well on every conversation
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes to download a call from our system and sometimes it simply does not download (rare). The curser to fast forward or rewind could be a bit smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to use our sales model also called Sandler
Very helpful for reviewing demo calls.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to review demo calls. Gong make it clear when each speaker is talking and it's quite easy to jump to the important parts.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. It has been a good experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to review my demo calls, as well as review demo calls from others on my team. This has helped me improve by seeing how well others do their demos.
Gong has become a powerful call support tool for my calls
What do you like best about the product?
Screen and audio recording makes it easy to share a call with peers or a client team for reference. The visual call time makes it easy to see the balance of speaking time to know where to better tune participation. We also use peer review surveys to improve quality and conduct team reviews of important calls. I've recently discovered the call snippet where we can highlight parts of the call! I use the transcript from time to time to copy and paste into my notes, but it take a lot of editing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcript is useful, but could be better. Most of the translations are OK, but you get some very strange text. I also don't like how it highlights every filler word, repeat, or mistake I made, but that's on me not Gong. I also find the call history a little hard to use. I can search by someone's name, but it might retrieve every call they were invited to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Call quality reviews so we didn't have to be on the same call. 2. Recording and transcript to share with peers or the client. 3. Identifying call speaker balance.
It's been a big help for call quality reviews, and far easier than trying to use a WebEx recording. It has also saved me a lot of time in follow-up notes by simply sharing the recording and call highlights.
