Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to go back and listen to calls and being able to use those calls as a learning tool to help my team members. Also, the platform is very easy to use and navigate through.
What do you dislike about the product?
As far as dislikes, I do with the transcript could translate a little better. I know that can be a work in progress with every person that utilizes Gong not sounding the same or they may not be very clear on some calls. It would also be good if it could detect when a caller is taking a breath or decipher background noise. We use patience as a KPI for our team so sometimes these things effect our team members scoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They have continued to work on translating the calls which helps me to be able to navigate something I wanted to clarify with a team member much quicker. I can just search for the wording and it takes me to that point in the call.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong has been super helpful in our introduction & discovery calls. I feel more confident taking calls as I know Gong will be there to capture everything - and help me through my pipeline through its tracker.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say I have something to dislike about Gong. There was this one time that Gong kept on skipping my calls - but I got that sorted out quickly. It was a simple "Zoom Security" Issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my team, we review our own calls. Gong helps us track where in the call did we fail, or what part of the call was our weakest. And from there - we improve. It helps to know where your areas of improvement are. And also - we get to capture real-time and word-per-word commendations! It's usually hard to catch these in calls, but with Gong - they gochu fam!
Gong is the go-to coaching platform for customer facing roles
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE that Gong makes it possible to coach my team when they're interacting with customers because this is THE most important aspect of their work and unless I'm in every meeting, I wouldn't be able to coach my team. Also, being able to watch back snippets, dive into specific phrasing and having score cards in place are super helpful for coaching, which you would not have if you attended a meeting live. Any company I will go to in the future, I will recommend getting Gong in place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike specifically. It'd be great if an agenda planning tool was added, and e.g. company specific KPIs that I could measure performance against. You can modify scorecards but I can't set a metric on e.g. 10 questions asked, if that would be our specific metric.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can help my team become better in an area of their job that is elementary and not visible to me without Gong. If you were to implement e.g. quarterly team reviews and join specific calls, people might get nervous, behave or prepare differently and you would not get clean results. I've found that my team after a bit of cold water hesitation, also loves getting feedback as it helps them grow professionally. In case of unclarities ('what did the customer say exactly?'), we can always check. When handing over from e.g. Sales to Implementation to Success, people can check previous recordings and get a better customer understanding instead of blurring the customer's message with 'Chinese whispers'. For learning and onboarding, having these calls on record is also great ('Call X is a great example of how you do a product demo'). And, if someone does really good, you can 1) actually see it and reward the individual; 2) create some recommendation and 3) show it to an example to other people - all of these things I do regularly with Gong.
Review your calls and learn from others quickly
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can specifically send or listen to a call right where you would like to. It is also very convenient to search through a transcript when searching for key terms used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure if this is a feature, but it would be nice to make some calls private to specific groups only. That way if there is a specific call that should not be shared you can lock it down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Throughout the onboarding process I was asked to shadow colleague's calls. Sometimes this is not really possible, so it is nice to be able to listen to recorded calls to learn conversation topics. I also enjoy seeing the analysis after a call to see talk time and review my calls that way as well.

For what we are doing as administrators, it isn't too difficult to add new users.
What do you dislike about the product?
For what we are doing as administrators, there are a lot of fields to fill out that we as a company don't use.

It tracks the potential deals and the deals at risk.

Gong is a gamechanger!
What do you like best about the product?
Gong has changed how I manage calls. I no longer have to take my attention away from our clients to take notes because Gong does it for me. It also helps me improve by reviewing my call stats and giving recommendations. The Deals board hasb een amazing for seeing a big-picture view of my pipeline and its risks. Lastly, Gong Assist is so helpful for follow-ups.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the AI-driven topics populated based on the whole gong database instead of our company amassing 100s or hours of calls. We're a small shop so it's going to take al ong time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps sales and support teams be present in their calls by automating notetaking and follow-up tasks. It also provides insights and recommendations to be more successful based on benchmarks. Gong's recommendations for call improvement keep us aware of our habits and help us to understand where we can get better to help our customers more.

Call recording, transcripts, and any comments shared on the chat are all recorded.

No downside. But can have a quicker sync with SFDC.

Notetaking, visibility on deals
Gong is very easy to use overall great experience.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ease with which I can review similar calls from teammates in which I had a difficult time with objections.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can be overwhelming to navigagte in the begin with all the different tabs available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am easily able to go back and listen to calls for any request that were made during the call that I may have forgotten about.

Being able to listen to my previous calls to prepare for the next call. Also listening to my teammates calls is very helpful to get an understanding of what they are doing right and build off that,
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to use the opportunities feature strictly because we have a CRM that tracks this information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is helping significantly with note taking. I can relisten to the call shortly after and take my notes there instead of trying to do it while on the phone with clients.
