Helpful competitive insights
What do you like best about the product?
I use Gong for competitive tracking which helps guage the threat level. If we are coming up against a competitor consistently then we know we have to pay more attention going forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could be smarter in searching for terms. When I search for a competitor it often pulls in similar-sounding words which impacts the overall quality of the data I am pulling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to monitor emerging competitors which has been very helpful. I am also listening to how reps respond in response to new competitors to see where we can improve.
Super helpful for learning a new postion
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can search keywords and locate recordings that are helpful for me to learn my new sales roles. I also like that I can print the transcripts to create my scripts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The word recognition could be a little stronger, I think. We have a lot of employees from the south and the southern drawl isn't always recognized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my new role as a product application strategist, I will be doing demos for the sales team for prospects and I have relied on GONG for 90% of my training in listening to the recording of people in the role currently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just dive in and use it. There are so many helpful tools within the platform.
Awesome Coaching Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it helps me coach. It's basically game film. It helps me get better as a manager, and more importantly, it helps my reps close business. It helps me make sure all the reps are using similar messaging and doing what they need to do to close business. Are they getting a next step on the calendar, are they talking budget, and they doing enough discovery, etc.? Mt team is better because of Gong.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I don't dislike anything about Gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps speed up onboarding. It also helps me forecast, because it warms me if there is something that happened in a specific call that should raise a red flag. Gong allows me to know if they team is all pulling in the same direction.

Talk to other Gong users to understand their experience.

What do you like best about the product?
Pipeline management is a breeze with Gong, also really appreciate the data-driven metrics that they provide. The call analysis AI is top-tier. I am so pleased so far and can't wait to continue to find more features and tools impactful to my role

The call transcription feature tends to be a little wonky, but I see this improving with time, it sometimes can be a bit slow to import your sales calls into Gong

Gong is helping us identify opportunities in our pipeline to make sure our team is not missing any sales. It's helping us drive sales calls and provides great analytics.
Powerful coaching tool
What do you like best about the product?
Gong has helped me coach and train sales professionals more efficiently and in a more structured way. Gong has helped my teams share learnings (both successes and failures). Furthermore, I use Gong to help with customer calls that need to be transcribed and used for quality check-in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that comes to mind right now. I have used gong for different purposes (sales, inside sales, customer success) and I have not hit any major roadblocks or problems with Gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, I have predominantly used Gong for sales training and sales onboarding for new employees. From the training side it has been about giving feedback and continouus learning and development. Today I predominantly use it for capturing customer information to make sure we are building top use cases for our customers.
Knows your deals better than you.
What do you like best about the product?
Gong records all of my meetings and client interactions. When I've got a busy day I can go back and reference important follow-up tasks, and customer points of interest.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really love Gong! Right now I'm not sure what else I would add. Salesloft integration could be really cool for email template ideas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the problem of information gathering and manual note-taking. With Gong, I don't have to take notes because Gong records the entire conversation for me.

I like that I can go back to every call and re-listen to them so that I am not missing anything.

I don't dislike anything. Nothing is missing, based on my current usage.

Mobile app: love that it picks up where I was on the desktop version

Hate that I cant highlight a snippet and send it - its too much back and forth to get the timing right

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can search a keyword and find a conversation that applies to that word. It is also very help that you can filter the conversations by host and client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had no bad experiences yet while using. Thus far, it has been nothing but helpful. I enjoy hearing conversations from certain clients and colleagues. Sometimes when I search for a specific name, it does not show up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to hear my colleague's conversations when i can not join the call. This is helping me understand how to communicate with clients but on my own time.

Gong has been the most valuable tool during my onboarding period. I wish every company used this - especially in a sales role it's so important to know the in's and out's of every account and Gong has allowed me to get ahold of the small details not captured in notes from former employees, and also revisit past calls of my own to ensure I didn't miss anything on my follow up to customers. Incredibly valuable tool.

I really like just about everything on the platform. I'm sure there are many features I don't even know how to use ,.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So many. Historical knowledge of accounts passed over to us. Ongoing record of verbal promises made, things I need to personally deliver on, and tracking deal flow.
