Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Gong makes it very simple to hear my calls and get a transcription of everything said. I'm able to listen to what I said and then how the client responded. In review, this is valuable as I can alter my future responses to have a more favorable outcome. If I'm in a crowded area or do not have headphones, the transcription helps break down everything that was said accurately. The tagging feature is lovely as well as it lets me share my calls with my mentor and my manager. Then my manager can go in and see what I have going on, and my mentor can go in and give me advice. The entire product really makes things easy for me to do my best work and improve over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Gong makes it very simple for me to accomplish everything needed. If I were to dislike something, it more has to do with local laws that end up being beneficial to the legality of what is going on. When you speak to someone in California, you need to get permission to record the conversation. If consent is not granted, Gong will not record the conversation. This feature is annoying as I have to be more careful to repeat my conversation back to them for not taking purposes but allows us to stay within the law correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to get a better understanding of my sales calls. Listening to how clients have responded has given me insight into what is working and what needs improvement. When I send this to my manager or my mentor I am able to get feedback on what went well, what needs improvement and what I should keep doing. This creates a scenario where I can flourish and grow and make improvements on the fly. Without software like this, I would need to take notes and would not be able to share my calls the way Gong enables me to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would choose Gong over competitors. I have used products like Chorus in the past, and Gong is superior in its transcription abilities and the ability to share calls with others.
Fantastic tool for any seller
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is a fantastic tool. It gives you the ability to not only record calls, but also take notes live during a call, reference specific points, and tag colleagues as needed. It sets the precedence that every call is going to be recorded, so you don't need to ask as soon as you are on. You can send full calls or pre-selected snippets, including transcripts, to customers/stakeholders who might have to miss meetings or reference them after the fact.
In addition to the above, I personally love that I can go back and listen to my calls to see how I performed. I can grade/score myself, but also request feedback from my leadership team, colleagues, etc. Ultimately it helps sellers improve, keeps them honest, and adds tremendous value.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dislike is the recorded voice plays over and over again as people join calls. There is no way to wait until you have a quorum. While I understand the legal requirements, there could be ways to work around this. This also might be a feature turned on for my particular organization.
In addition, the "grading" feature does leave something to be desired. For instance, some calls might involve less interaction and more talking (e.g. an introductory pitch/demo where our team does most of the talking might score lower than a true discovery call).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Especially while everyone is behind a computer screen/webcam, it is tough to stay engaged while taking diligent notes, organize them, and stay focused. With Gong I am not only able to stay on top of my own calls but also bring in other colleagues as needed.
With Gong, you are able to track your complete conversation/correspondence history with your prospects/customers. You can go back and listen to what you may have missed, reference key metrics/painpoints expressed by customers, and so much more.

Instrumental Technology
What do you like best about the product?
Gong's been instrumental as we shifted to a WFH environment over the past year. While in the office, we ran customer calls in conference rooms, and there was a lot of coaching & "osmosis" real-time in the office. Sitting on Ring Central and "shadowing" a call in real-time had its benefits but was limited to listening live when a call was happening. With Gong, I can search for keywords, run on pitches, trends on calls to not only coach my team on being more effective but also leverage it for sourcing old objections that we can overcome with new tech were selling. I leverage Gong on team calls to bring the osmosis back as well. We frequently review calls together as a team so my sellers can pick up new pitches from top reps in the org. Overall, Gong has been highly instrumental in our workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only room for improvement for me (this could be training issue on my end) would be about having a customizable "inbox" or "todo" section for managers. I'd like to categorize my todo's by rep or by call type.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots. On-demand call coaching, I dont have to listen in live to coach. Funnel mgmt. I leverage Gong to see what deals I have in risk. Are we multithreaded? Is a deal stale? etc. I also leverage Gong on team calls to bring back some of the osmosis so reps can pick up talk tracks from one another. We recently did a March Madness spiff with our ADR's and it was awesome.
A perfect way to master a sales call in a remote world
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of Gong is that it shares interaction feedback with you and compares you to the team. For example, there is an interactivty that measures if the conversation is balanced between the two people on the line
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I do not see anything that I do not enjoy from Gong. It is perfect tool to ensure that call coaching is still being practiced, even while your sales people are remote.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've realized from Gong that I use the word "You know" whenever I am in a sales call. There is this feature that tracks your "Slang" usage and again compares you to the team. Gong has made me a better salesman to recognize that from their software and remove that from my vocabulary!
Amazing platform for any sales team!
What do you like best about the product?
Ever since I joined, Gong has allowed me not only to review my own calls but also learn and pick up key call tactics from my calls. Additionally, we can watch a client go from their initial onboarding to the day they become customers. What I like best is that it is available to EVERYONE. Whether you want to listen to a call, you want to read the transcript, gauge your gong KPIs (how much did you talk vs. customer?), it allows us to become even better at what we do!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many calls available, so I think narrowing down the search even more could be helpful (by a product, let's say) and more rewards for teams! Those who had a good talking percentage could be rewarded and receive an email from their manager regarding this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency has dramatically increased within the whole organization; we also can learn more from others in the company, which makes the company in its own better but also allows us to prepare for promotions by being better today.
For managers, I think this is KEY for feedback, especially in the covid ages of virtual work.

Great tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a better salesman now that I can replay and critique previous calls, share snippets and best practices, and listen to others who are slaying the conversation game. Gong has been incredibly helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is having to mention being on a recorded line, but everyone is used to that by now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing recorded best practices
Analytics helpful for ramping up
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Gong is that it is easy to navigate. The transcripts are considerably more accurate than other call recorders I have used in the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a little while to analyze my calls from the external phone software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to see through the analytics what steps of the call I hit versus what I didn't talk about. I.e. BANT requirements.
Great insights
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to see where my team is on calls, length, searching for keywords all of that important data allows me to gauge where everyone stands with their conversations
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes calls dont import. But could be on our end but that can be frustrating for reporting purposes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not losing things in pipeline, being able to jump in a call with a rep and review it with them so they can apply what feedback was given to the very next call.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you make your money over the phone i would definitely recommend this product. The amount of insights it gives you with a few clicks is incredible. It takes the guess work out of Sales conversations and if leveraged correctly can make a huge difference for your team
Improve client/prospect calls with Gong
What do you like best about the product?
I like the transcripts. They help not need to take very many notes. We can skim over calls after.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like there's a lot of tools I may not be taking advantage of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping CSMs improve, coaching, saving time with note taking
Literally the best thing since sliced bread
What do you like best about the product?
Gong has been an absolute game-changer for us. Before we got the platform every rep was doing something different and there was no normalized process. Now we're able to see what we do wrong, see what we do right, and incorporate best practices into our everyday selling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all. Favorite tool in the stack
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have streamlined our sales process, ramped up new employees more efficiently the whole 9 yards. Seriously dont know how we operated without gong in the past
