Great for seeing which messages are resonating with sellers and buyers
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy way to listen to calls to understand which stories are resonating with buyers, and which stories and messages sellers are choosing to implement into their calls and demos. As a marketer, this is helpful to see your work in action.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any notable dislikes of Gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm in PR/comms, so I use Gong to see which of our company key messages, benefits, features, etc. actually make it into sales calls. By understanding this, I can better understand the messages/features we should bring to our larger market/awareness key messages used in comms, PR and social campaigns. That way, the entire go-to-market team is "singing the same song" and sharing the same info to our prospects and customers.
Best sales tool I've ever used
What do you like best about the product?
As a remote employee being onboarded, Gong has been essential for my on-demand learning. I can listen to every type of call from any sales rep at my company anytime I'd like.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I wish it would allow me to restrict access to certain calls of mine to only my managers as opposed to every rep in the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training is so much easier as opposed to having to shadow real-time calls. I am also less concerned about not being able to take down every note my prospect says--I can go back and listen to every aspect of the call and catch what I missed.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I get an email each day with a recap of my team's calls and meetings (recorded and transcripts). Once I review the calls and provide feedback in the comments section, my reps get an email with my feedback that we can review in our weekly 1:1's. No longer do IO need to join as many calls, and I can coach so many more people with access to the recordings. I think this is a great tool for coaching your sales teams and provide feedback on what they did well and where they could make impreovments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes customers comment on the gong attendee in the web-meeting. We have had to dismiss the recording a few times. But once we explain that it's recording the meeting for internal coaching, most customers are fine with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of time and people! By having access to Gong and recorded meetings, I can review calls when its convenient for me and give feedback as well. I don't have to be available live for all of the calls, especially when I have a busy week and its not possible to join as many customer calls.
So far, I have been using Gong for about 1-2 months and I find the ability to give feedback valuable. Plus we can click into specific parts of the recording to hear what the customer is saying, versus playing the entire recording waiting to hear the whole conversation... You can search the recording by keyword as well, which makes it a time-efficient tool for call coaching.

Great for Training!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Gong joins and records my meetings automatically. It takes the guess work out of it. No more, "oops, I forgot to hit record." I love that I can watch other's videos from within my company to learn from them or to alter my own style based on others. In addition, I can go back and listen to my own calls for some self-critiquing. I also like that I can search for videos by team or by company or my own. This makes it simple for me to find recordings related to my job. Having started a new job during COVID, I have relied heavily on Gong for my own ramp-up/training. It has also been a great way for me to ensure I'm on the right track by listening to other new hire calls as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I share a recording, it is only good for a certain number of days. I share many training calls/videos with my clients. However, their access expires after a certain number of days. They really need unlimited access to their video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internal and client training. I love that my clients don't have to come back and ask questions from onboarding because they can review the video time and time again. It has also solved many problems with remote work and ramp up at a new company. Not being able to travel across the country to the new company, this has provided me with extra training when I've needed it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In a remote-based climate, gong is amazing for on the job training! It has played a vital role in learning the software of my new company all while assisting me in learning how teach the software to others. The way it is automatically linked to calls makes it super user friendly - there's no need to worry about forgetting to hit the record button until the meeting is halfway over. It is easy to share the recordings, and you can also download the recordings if needed. It provides great insight for managers into their employees who work independently.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can really have one place to see your tasks. I love that it can break down calls and pin point certain parts of the call and also search a key word in a certain call to move to that point. I love that you can see what emails you sent for the day and also being able to break those emails down to coach team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I really dislike about it. It is very quick to upload calls and easily able to highlight certain parts of calls as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving how we do our sales pitches and be able to break it down section by section.
The benefit is being able to break down the call and also read a transcript of each call as well. Also sharing calls with other reps to share how others are pitching and selling the product.

If you are wanting something that is super user friendly and you want your employees to improve their skills, this is the tool for that!!
Gong has been a great coaching tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to go back after a call and review how the conversation with a prospect went. I am able to pull notes from my calls after the fact which allows me to really listen and respond to what is being said. I love that I can listen to my teams calls as well. My sales team focuses on giving constructive criticism and positive feedback when its due so I really enjoy the feedback feature on calls. Over the holidays I received several emails with tips and analytics collected over 2020. I've been able to implement some of those tips into my sales process.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the most part I don't have too much to complain about as far as UX is concerned. I will say that the the voice recognition has not always been perfect but it is still easy to navigate. It would also be beneficial if the software was able to recognize calls that go straight to voicemail. It makes it harder to navigate and find calls that were actually valuable. Now, with that said if you could have a section where voicemail calls would be stored, it would be nice to actually review them separately to analyze what targeted information is being given over the voicemail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to analyze my calls, whether it be for better notetaking or reviewing my performance. It ultimately has helped me make better, more targeted calls to my prospects. My team is able to review calls as well and between all of us we can critique and improve tonality, cadence, structure, as well as what qualifying questions are being asked BUT more importantly what is being left out. I can also review my calls when I am away from the office which makes Gong a great self and team coaching tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of listening , analyzing and reviewing calls with your team and don't hesitate to give feedback where it is needed. It is a terrific resource. Also pay attention to the data you get from gong because it doesn't lie - shortening my calls, wording my emails, etc - its all helped me be a more effective sales person

What do you like best about the product?
*Update, the new AI features are wonderful and being able to generate a follow up email is a huge time saver.* I love being able to listen back for information I may have forgotten or missed. It is also great for learning purposes. I have learned a lot from listening to my own recordings as well as my teammates. The metrics they provide are very useful and I have been using it to prepare myself for promotion opportunities. I have recently started using it for forecasting, which has helped me keep track of my deals and where I should be prioritizing my time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much! If I forget to add my zoom link to a meeting until shortly before the meeting (5-10 minutes), it will not be recorded on Gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows me to hold myself accountable on action items I have promised. If I am unable to take detailed notes for any reason Gong is amazing for relistening to the call to take important notes at a later time. I tell myself sometimes that I will remember something, but too often you do not and Gong helps solve that problem. As a salesperson speaking with prospects, listening to my calls has helped me refine my talk tracks and listening to my teammates has helped spark new ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are often on customer or prospect-facing calls, Gong can greatly benefit you. Now that I use it I couldn't imagine my workflow without it.
Solid tool for all sales professionals
What do you like best about the product?
Keyword search on audio and video, allows you to recall specific areas in your presentation. Not only is this beneficial for training your team, but it also enforces accountability.

Nothing that I have found yet. Extremely beneficial for training.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy interface. extremely helpful in hearing qualifiers to make you as successful as possible on your sales calls. Finding key words that are consistent in making a sale, ability to listen to calls at 2x speed. ability to listen to other team member's phone calls, easy to check your stats against industry standards
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, words are not transcribed correctly. not much to do there, though. people love to mumble! Entering numerous iterations as qualifiers is tedious
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to analyze my calls and habits that lead to a successful close like never before. Allowing me to train on my team's calls has made me exceed my sales goals each month. can't recommend this product enough. It has truly allowed me to improve my sales acumen time and time again.
