Incredible tool for any client-facing role
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive to use, perfect way to understand which areas needing improvement during sales process. Love that I'm able to listen to calls from other people in my company to learn what's been successful in other offices. Before the pandemic I'd use the mobile app to listen to my team's calls during my commute.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a "dislike" per se but there are a lot of features & functionality. Took some time to get comfortable/find all the ways the tool analyzes recorded calls.
Would love more support resources to learn how to use the platform more effectively (maybe more proactive push from Gong's support to show where to find their resources?)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use the tool to improve my own sales processes but mainly to help develop new sales reps, get more visibility into product demos & where deals were lost.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think this is a must-have for any legitimate sales organization, especially if there are young, straight-out-of-college sales reps on the team.

The ability to go back a listen to my calls, identify the key findings, and respond accordingly in any follow-ups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, so far. It's a little odd having my calls be visible to everyone else, but I guess that is fine. If anything it helps keep me accountable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps my recurring meetings stay focused on the action items that were discussed in the previous meeting. Now I can come prepared as ever and cover the important things without forgetting what was talked about in the prev. meeting.

Give it a try. This will seriously change the way you work and make things overall more efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
Team Stats. As a Manager, it gave me tangible details I could use to coach the team -- even for high performers, it gave solid opportunities to optimize. As an IC, it helps me to track how my performance against industry benchmarks to ensure I'm optimizing my time with customers.
Also, the NLP is pretty amazing - very easy to find keywords and zoom into key points in a discussion (or across multiple discussions).
The connection between web and mobile allowing you to continue listening to a call even when you move between devices is also really neat.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only time it's bothered me is with the frequency of re-signing in, but that's a) probably a smart thing considering how sensitive the information within it is; and b) probably a customizable setting that I didn't bother to ask my admin about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Driving process improvements for myself and my team - the only way it could be done before was with ride-alongs, and with a 9-person team that was impossible at scale.
And for myself as an IC, I don't get usable feedback very often on the quality of my calls, since I've trained most people on how to sell at my company. But the data gives me what I need!

Buy it - it really makes a difference, for both Sales Managers, IC Salespeople, an even for Post-Sales Support (who can go back and listen to what was said during the Sales process to ensure alignment).

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to have my meetings/calls recorded and go back for quality assurance. It assists me with making sure i'm hitting all of my points for customer success.

the recordings can sometimes be late to the meeting and I am unable to allow them in due to disrupting the meeting

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to search for keywords. I work on our technology integrations and partnership strategy so getting insight into the integrations our customers are asking is a solid data point I use to prioritize which integrations and partnerships to pursue and build.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could click on a paragraph in a transcript to jump directly to that part of the call recording. Sometimes it's hard to scrub to the right part of the conversation to get the specific insight you're looking for.

- Prioritizing integrations and technology partnerships by ranking them based on how often they come up in conversations.
- Getting a sense of the current opportunity we have going with a prospect so that I have the right context before engaging partners.
- Checking back on conversations that ours sellers had with partners (where I wasn't able to attend) to see how the call went and to review next steps

Excellent tool for understanding what your prospects and customers are looking ford. Searching for keywords is a game changer in understanding what features/products to prioritize on your roadmap.
Great Platform for Sales Coaching
What do you like best about the product?
I just recently started an ISR role and have been onboarding through Gong. I love being able to search for objections, product conversations, demos, etc. Gong is a great way to shadow calls from seasoned reps without being intrusive on a real customer call. Gong has available analytics, which tells you how long everyone talked, your pace, etc. For example, the "Point of Interest" feature analyzes a call and tells you things like how many questions you asked your action items, and tracks keywords. Lastly, with Gong, you can give direct feedback with commenting features and save a call to specific libraries for onboarding purposes
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could see who is talking when you are on full-screen mode, but that is a very minor detail. When you search for calls using filters sometimes not every call that matches your criteria shows up. This might be an internal tagging issue on my end but it's worth mentioning. Gong also has a Deals tab, which allows you to search for a specific account and see every interaction with that account across calls, email, and web meetings. This sounds amazing except that it doesn't really work for me. When I search for accounts that I know I have had Gong recorded calls with, nothing shows up and the search bar results in "no results found". Again, this could be something I am doing on my end but would love to have this feature actually work since it would make it a lot easier to say on top of your most critical deals.

With Gong, my team is able to continue to get better over time by listening to our old calls and identifying things we could have done better. For new team members, Gong is a live saver because it allows them to onboard and learn the product on their own. Gong's search feature allows new reps to be very specific about what they want to learn, whether that's a specific product, pricing, etc. The biggest benefit that Gong provides is given reps the ability to simply focus on the customer and on the call. I used to get caught up trying to take notes and would miss really important details of a customer's pain points. Yes, I know you can record using over tools but Gong gives you call analytics that you really can't get using another product (talking %, objections, action items, etc).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to be able to easily onboard sales reps and keep everyone on your team accountable, Gong is a great platform. Not only does it help sales reps improve their selling skills, but it also helps them close more deals because they don't have to worry about taking notes. With Gong, reps can just focus on the call and asking good questions. Plus, by recording each call you can easily share opportunities with the extended team for advice and input.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong gives the craziest insights you'd never think about such as recognizing annoying filler words to sharing tips on how you can improve the way you speak as a salesperson. It's so easy to use and gives you action item emails which is my favorite - you get an email after each call with each item you said you'd follow up on which is easy to forget on your own.
What do you dislike about the product?
None so far - have been using for about a month.

Speeding up deal cycles, easily following up with prospects, understanding metrics from other sales people and applying it to your own process is very easy.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can listen to calls and add comments so you can see exactly when you did something well or their was criticism in your work. The ability to obtain constructive feedback allows for you to grow.

Sometimes there are some technical difficulties where you can't see a call that was recorded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With gong we are solving the problem of being remote and listening to your calls. Nowadays we aren't sitting by our colleagues and learning from them. However, with gong we are now listening and learning.
Excellent Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Gong makes it so easy to find calls with prospects and customers that will help me do a better job at understanding what our prospects are asking our sales teams during sales conversations. It's like being a fly on the wall for any call I want, but on my own time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet - it's a great experience and I have nothing to note that needs improving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a marketer, I need to know what kinds of questions our prospects have when chatting with our sales teams. Listening in on these calls (and searching by keyword!!) helps me understand the needs of prospects -- and I can take them back to my content creation right away and adjust to better suit our prospects.
