Incredibly helpful esp when working across continents in different teams
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that I don't need to spend mental faculties taking notes whilst speaking with a prospect - I usually end up just going back and listen to stuff I don't remember/missed - especially ones which are the more important sections. Plus, I love listening to calls of my colleagues globally when I have the time to be able to understand how they chat with prospects in the American/European markets as opposed to South East Asian markets!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish there was a written transcript - relistening to calls is fairly time consuming and if I could quickly glance over the text instead of having to listen to the calls, I'd be a very happy sales person!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wasn't involved in purchasing the subscription, but I'm assuming having a library of all prospecting/sales calls, shared across three continents is pretty darn useful for any company!

What do you like best about the product?
I LOVE being able to focus on my customer and our conversation instead of taking notes or thinking about making sure I don't miss anything. I listen to Gong likes is a radio station at work. I'm either re-listening to a previous client call in preparation for a follow up call, or I'm listening to a demo or another rep's pitch while I'm doing other things. I'm an avid 'commenter' so it's easy to share calls internally - ie, I need the product person to listen to these sound bites. Lastly, I love being able to share calls back with clients. It's amazing how often I've had the client ask if I have a recording after a good discussion, presentation or demo (and I can tell if they looked at it :).
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like more options for filing/organizing calls. I would love an 'auto gong' button physically on my phone so I could just hit record whenever I have a call with a client that isn't a conference call. I do find that now that i rely on gong so much, it's harder for me to recall conversations that aren't recorded :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recalling specific to do's, or specific data points that a client has shared with you is huge for me. I also love how efficient it can be to share customer feedback truly verbatim internally. The speed up and comment features can make gong even more efficient than having a meeting to relay how you recall a meeting...

What do you like best about the product?
If you can't be listening in on a call in real time every time, a recorded call is the next best thing. The daily report of calls from the day before has created a new routine for me. Early mornings are for reviewing calls from the day before and preparing feedback for the day ahead.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to be able to see a functionality for greater reporting across a team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows our sales leadership team to identify trends within our teams' calls and gain a better understanding of how to best train and coach our teams as a result.
Game Changer for coaching and ramping
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is great a tool for coaching. Once a week we have a team meeting to review a gong call. We call it our "Point and Laugh at a Closer" Meeting. A rep comes with a call and we review it as a team. The group learning from this has been great as we can collectively learn and provide feedback as a group. I've also found Gong to be great for ramping new reps as we can categorize recordings on how to handle (or not handle) certain objectives, present features, etc.
The Salesforce sync has made it easy to get up to speed on an opportunity when strategically helping a rep.

Best Dang Sales Training Tool Ever
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that new sales reps are able to listen to a ton of good demos and sales calls in a short amount of time. The ability to leave notes in line with the conversation for coaching and the ability to coach reps based on the analytics Gong provides. Love having the calls appended to the opportunities in Salesforce.

What is there to not like, it does everything I need it to.

Getting reps up to speed much much quicker.

-transcription is good but not perfect
-not much to dislike here, it's obviously still early stage but it works perfectly, does what it's supposed to, and can see where it can grow much further

Can't Imagine Coaching Without Gong
What do you like best about the product?
As a leader, I can't be everywhere at once, but with Gong I'm able to listen to sales calls in my spare time and provide feedback to my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile interface could use some improvements. It works on mobile but isn't as optimal an experience as the desktop version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been better equipped to coach our sales team, which was the most crucial need we had, especially with a geographically dispersed workforce.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evangelize the platform internally. There are other amazing use cases for this beyond sales coaching. I'm looking forward to expanding usage to our customer success team.
Strong Pilot - immediate value
What do you like best about the product?
This is so much more than a recording technology. It also uses AI technology that helps segment recordings so managers can maximize time by listening to the most value sections of demos/appts/calls. The AI allows me to get a quick cliff's notes version of important parts of the call.
This is very light for reps to adopt because they don't have to remember to hit record so we have way more recordings to choose from for training and coaching. I like that I can comment on a call down to the exact time so we can focus the coaching to specific tactics. I like that we can save recordings into a library for training and scenario-based coaching.

This gives tons more manager visibility into what is happening on calls. It also equips us for more effective training with our team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I received more helpful recommendations from our sales person than from client success during implementation. Leverage the sales process to get solid recommendations.
Gong is Invaluable as a remote employee!
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who pushes themselves to overachieve, I love the fact that Gong gives me the ability to self-analyze and solicit feedback on my pitches from colleagues. And while I'm a fairly disciplined note taker, the fact that my calls are being recorded frees me up to focus on the conversation at hand - rather than jotting each and every detail from the conversation. Lastly, the ability to learn from others by listening to their discussions is invaluable.

There's nothing I really dislike per say, but I would love the ability to access the transcript from a conversation as opposed to having to listen to it.

I wasn't involved in the purchasing Gong, so I'm not quite sure what we were trying to solve. From my perspective, Gong is great for:

A must have for Sales teams
What do you like best about the product?
Great product that is easy to use. Much better than the traditional recorded call. The analytics and AI are hugely powerful. It's great for coaching and new hires as well as fine tuning your own skills in an online meeting!

There is nothing to dislike. It is easy intuitive tool that has a ton of value
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making the meetings that we host as valuable as we can to our prospects. Learning how to overcome objections and understand what is working and what is not working. The analytics are key.
