Gong is my favorite tool in our tech stack!
What do you like best about the product?
I've used Gong in 2 different roles and organizations now over the course of the last few years as a Manager of Account Managers. Gong helps me as a leader give direct "live" feedback on calls to improves sales skills that I otherwise would only have insight on if I was on the call. I love the scorecards and AI functions and that they continue to improve from when I first started using Gong to now. The user usability is easy enough for call searching and easy to train on. I also love the transcript function and ability to search the overall outline and keypoints of the call.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way our Forecasting translates into Gong is confusing b/c we don't operate on dollars as a metric for quota. The Forecasting notes section is used everyday but it's clunky and the editing can turn out weird and look unprofessional. When tracking reps Gong activity we find errors in calls listened to based on if they're on the phone app or using their computer URL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales Coaching, Gong gives me the ability to give "live" and detailed feedback on calls when I'm not able to attend. We also have so many partners that Gong ability to summarize a last call is helpful to get up to speed quick w/out time consuming research.
A Must-Have for Sales Teams, Despite Minor Email Tweak Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I love Gong for its super accurate transcription capabilities which make it incredibly easy for me to follow up on conversations. The ability to search for specific phrases or words used during a call is invaluable, enhancing my efficiency in managing sales calls. I appreciate how it categorizes topics such as budget discussions, negotiations, and the questions asked by both customers and sales representatives, providing a comprehensive view of the conversation. This feature, along with Gong's ability to generate follow-up emails effortlessly, simplifies the follow-up process. Moreover, I find it very helpful to share clips with managers and colleagues for discussing best practices. These functionalities of Gong address the issue of not having time to take notes during calls. I also enjoy integrating Gong with tools I frequently use, such as Slack, Zoom, and Gmail, ensuring a seamless workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the generated follow-up email using Gong is pretty generic. I often have to tweak it a bit to make it more personalized. It's maybe not as warm or genuine as I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Gong makes it easy to follow-up with customers using generated emails, allows sharing clips for best practices, and helps review calls when I couldn't take notes.

What do you like best about the product?
The recording helps me review key technical information and feedback from customers so I can prepare for the next meeting. The AI insights into my calls help to improve the speed I can work at to get the summaries I need in prep for my next customer interaction

I wish there was an automation to help me log product feedback from customer calls in a more automated manner

Gong records my calls so I can prepare for next customer interactions. It also helps me to inform our product team of key customer feedback on our products
Gain Deeper Deal Insights Effortlessly
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to get a deeper understanding of the deals.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if it's a Gong malfunction, but it would help us track better which emails are tied to an opportunity or not.

Improve my analysis and streamline common sales tasks for greater speed and accuracy.
Gong makes life much easier as an AE
What do you like best about the product?
Absolutely love that it frees me up from trying to listen and simultaneously take notes. It's also great for learning/watching how other colleagues pitch in a no pressure / non live environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The *only* think i dislike about Gong is how it interrupts the speaker to let everyone know that the meeting will be recorded. I believe this feature can be turned off, but it is helpful to let the attendees know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables me to learn new pitches/objection handling much faster than trying to piggy back onto live calls.
Gong Eliminates Notetaking with Valuable Call Summaries
What do you like best about the product?
Gong has replaced notetaking from our recordkeeping in Salesforce. The briefs have been 100% valuable in summarizing client calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet. The integration with Zoom has been a game-changer.

Love the listen live feature with zoom, love the ease of use

Irreplaceable for Communication, Though UI Could Be Improved
What do you like best about the product?
Gong provides an organized location for all of your digital communications with customers to be captured and retained. That, along with it's AI call summaries and ability to quickly provide details about an account, make it an irreplaceable part of my day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a little plain, but it does not affect the quality of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is capturing all of my calls in real time and providing notes and summaries from those calls. This allows me to stay engaged with my customers and not have to worry about jotting down every single thing, which results in more collaborative meetings.

What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciate how Gong effortlessly integrates into my workflow by allowing me to record and watch sales meetings. This feature not only enables me to gain insights from my colleagues' meetings, but it also significantly aids in learning best practices and understanding how they pitch our solutions effectively. By observing these meetings, I've been able to tweak my sales pitch to be more effective. Moreover, I am impressed by Gong's auto-generated meeting follow-ups, which streamline the after-meeting process, saving me time and ensuring no details are overlooked. I love how Gong enables sales representatives to quickly ramp up their capabilities, which is a tremendous benefit in fast-paced environments. The user interface is designed intuitively, contributing to a smooth user experience. Overall, I find Gong to be an invaluable tool because of its ease of use and the significant value it provides in refining sales strategies and enhancing team performance.

I find the search functionality lacking and believe it can be improved for a better experience.

I use Gong to watch sales meetings, learn best practices, and improve my sales pitch, which helps new reps ramp quickly.
Great Call Analytics, But Integrations and AI Need Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it records the calls and gives a breakdown of the percentage of speaking time per person.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the ways it integrates with other tools can be clunky, and their AI feature feels more like a basic chat bot
