Robust Project Controls, but Clunky Integrations and High Pricing
What do you like best about the product?
It has robust project management and controls. Easy to use. Fast Implementation. It is used daily with our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it can be clunky with integrations, lacks necessary features and high pricing models. Customer support is so so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Delivered tools for project Management and form creation for central for filing.
Great Template Variety, But Finding the Right One Takes Time
What do you like best about the product?
Still new to Smartsheet. The templates seem to be very useful and have a vast variety of templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not so easy to find exactly the template you need
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is taking the time out of building sheets I need.
Familiar Spreadsheet Feel with Powerful Automation
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it takes the familiar feel of a spreadsheet and turns it into a powerhouse for project tracking. The automated workflows are amazing because they handle the follow-ups so I don't have to.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel a bit clunky if you are used to the smooth, modern interface of tools like Monday.com or Notion. The learning curve is also surprisingly steep, I'm still learning after months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's making process management more scalable.We are able to manage multiple projects with the same level of oversight that usually requires managing only five.
User-friendly, but lacks depth in Gantt charts

I find Smartsheet user-friendly.

More depth in making the Gantt charts

Smartsheet makes timelines and decision points clear.
Great Software for Project Management and Automation of Admin tasks
What do you like best about the product?
Really allows the most common EXcel formulas for efficiency purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The linking of files is a hassle if you have too many workspaces. There is very minimal support on certain features such as export and the licensing structure is unclear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Management and communication gaps across the organization as well as running business schedules for visibility to 5+ team members.
Visibility and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet combines spreadsheet simplicity with good project management. It helps us plan, track, automate, and collaborate in one place with flexible views, dashboards that improve visibility, accountability, and efficiency across our projects and teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently, Smartsheet has become more expensive, and there is a noticeable learning curve when it comes to its advanced features. It is not the best choice for in-depth document editing or managing highly complex projects. The options for customization are somewhat limited, and if you need extensive automation or advanced reporting, you may have to opt for higher-tier plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool has been very helpful in managing the tasks assigned by senior management. The notification and reminder automations are especially useful and make our work much easier.
Effortless Sharing and Real-Time Updates, But Login Process Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of sharing the document the fact that it updates instantaneous as I type in information is great. I like that I can pull it up on my cell or tablet as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not figured out how to go straight to the sheets without logging in over and over.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the fact that I dont have to send multiple Excel spread sheets having to indicate the changes. they can know that the information there is current and up to date.

What do you like best about the product?
An efficient tool that allows for multiple users to access and update in real time

There can be a delay in updates in workbook, preventing users from seeing what’s been updated in real time without multiple refreshes

Allows for a centralized location of information when multiple teams are working on a project
Easy Project Management, but Feels Like Excel
What do you like best about the product?
Good solution to manage projects and run reports, but familiar layout to everyone using spreadsheets, so shallow learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some confusion about whether similar benefits could be exploited using Microsoft Excel
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple projects with project teams working in a matrix management structure. Smart Sheets allows us to focus on tasks/products/other items that we can filter by, so that everyone can obtain the data relevant to them and provide updates on tasks by creating reports on the same data set rather than attempting to maintain multiple project plans in separate systems/documents.
Streamlined Invoice Tracking, Needs a Smoother Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet to keep track of invoices being sent out and I really appreciate how it allows me to easily make tables or Excel formats while attaching PDFs to them. It's easier to collaborate compared to Office 365 tools. I mostly use it for attaching PDF files to the rows because it's easy to do and can be done smoothly. I believe the initial setup was fairly easy to add users and such to sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a bit clunky, and connecting cells with another sheet is difficult to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet to keep track of invoices. It lets me make tables and attach PDFs easily, making collaboration smoother than Office 365 tools.
