Smartsheet Makes Project Management Simple and Collaborative

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Smartsheet is how it simplifies project and task management. The interface feels familiar, like a spreadsheet, so it’s easy to organize work, track progress, and collaborate with team members without a steep learning curve. I also appreciate that it keeps everything in one place, which improves visibility and saves time in day-to-day work.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don’t like about Smartsheet is that some of the more advanced features can take a while to learn, especially when you’re setting up automations or more complex workflows. Also, managing multiple sheets and handling permissions can sometimes feel a bit confusing, particularly for new users who are still getting familiar with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me keep projects, tasks, and team updates organized in one place, rather than juggling everything across different spreadsheets and tools. It improves collaboration, makes it easier to track deadlines, and reduces the need for manual follow-ups. Overall, it saves time and keeps my work more structured and organized.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet to create MSR's and manage the procurement process efficiently with its workflow functionality. It ensures the next person in the process is prompted to take action, and I get continuous feedback with updates via email that help me keep track of my requests. I appreciate how easy the initial setup was.
What do you dislike about the product?
When someone sends me a message via Smartsheet, I get an email, but that email does not reference the MSR number, only the row number. If I click respond in Smartsheet, it opens a new session even if I already have one open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet for order documentation and comments during procurement. It helps with tracking procurement statuses. The workflow prompts actions in the process, and email updates ensure I know when steps are completed.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how easy it is to use, especially compared to more complex project management tools. The interface is clean and intuitive, so it doesn’t take long to understand how to build sheets, set up workflows, or start tracking tasks.

Another strong point is how quickly it responds. Whether I’m updating rows, switching between sheets, or collaborating with others in real time, everything feels smooth and fast. That responsiveness makes it much easier to stay productive without delays or frustration.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Smartsheet is that, while it’s very user-friendly at a basic level, some of the more advanced features can feel complicated or unintuitive. Things like building complex automations, formulas, or reports often take time to learn, and the learning curve can be steeper than expected for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest problems it addresses is scattered communication and disconnected tools. Instead of using emails, spreadsheets, and separate apps to manage work, Smartsheet centralizes tasks, deadlines, files, and updates in one place. This makes it much easier to stay organized and reduces the risk of missing important information.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the automations and forms in Smartsheet. Automations allow us to have a quick response to the clients and notify the on-site team about reports and incidents, all starting with forms submitted by the client.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that some of the date-based formulas and other formulas aren't compatible with Excel. It's a friendly software for people with good programming and Excel skills, but I believe it might not work as well for users with basic knowledge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet improves communication with clients, enables efficient data storage and analysis, speeds up response times, enhances service quality, and supports KPI development. Its automations and forms facilitate quick responses and notify the team about reports.

What do you like best about the product?
It really has handy tools for managing projects and creating clarify and overview.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I want to add people’s names to documents I’ve created, I first have to add them to my Contacts list; otherwise, their initials don’t show up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to create an overview of the different subprojects within the main project, and to track the progress of each of those subprojects.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that is easy to use, but also has a lot of depth. It integrates well with outlook and across multiple sheets. It is fast is always available. I don't handle the price, but I imagine is has been a very strong return on investment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have any issues. It is a strong partner in our business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of having a spreadsheet that everyone has access to. We use it for purchasing, and it does well at updating our material lists and deliveries.

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Smartsheet for project tracking and team collaboration. It's a seamless experience in collaboration between team members and tracking progress on a project. I appreciate its online platform because I can access it anywhere, from any device. Mobility is key for me, and I find I can track my project either from my laptop, phone, or tablet. I also value the ability to create workflows and send out notifications. The initial setup was quite easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The license model is not so great. The free tier viewer used to be able to edit the sheet, and now we're forced to buy a license just for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet for project tracking and team collaboration, providing a seamless experience. It allows me to track projects from any device, which is key due to my constant mobility.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is that it gives users a realistic path from spreadsheets into actual workflow management without forcing a complete change in how people work. The interface feels familiar enough that office staff and field users can learn it quickly, but it still has powerful, feature rich automation and reporting capabilities.

Smartsheet automations have provided the biggest workflow improvement for us. Being able to trigger notifications, status updates, approvals, and reminders automatically cuts down heavily on manual follow-up and missed communication. Smartsheet reports enable us to see a specific view of a sheet without having to manager multiple sheets.

The integrations are also a major benefit. Connecting workflows with Gmail, Google Drive, and other business systems helps keep information centralized.

Unexpectedly, one of the biggest advantages has been improving accountability and visibility between office staff and the field. Everyone can see current statuses, updates, attachments, and notes in one place, which reduces confusion and duplicate communication significantly.

Smartsheet has been an effective and affordable solution for us as our company has grown.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the table view is a significant improvement, I’d like to see a wider selection of formatting options within the table view in the future, along with a more functional calendar/Gantt format without having to obtain additional add-ons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has greatly reduced our duplication of effort and improved communication, allowing us to keep more data in one place. It has also helped us create forms, sheets, and tracking systems for our fleet, warehouse, tools, and hardware. Overall, it’s become a playground where we can build and refine solutions that fit our needs.
