Get's the job done!
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to use for every one, but also has the capability for advanced automation for those who need to utilize those features. There are also a lot of trainings available for learning how to use smartsheet and level up on your automation skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind, everything works great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves a lot of my manual HR work, makes it easier to keep managers accountable for items I need from them, and makes it hands-off for processes after they are automated in a sheet and report.
Easy & Quick to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an extremely user friendly application, with tons of great features that it's usage a breeze. My favorite features are the conditional formatting and the automations. I use Smartsheet every day, and being able to get automatic updates when something is changed, or needs to be addressed is extremely helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, I don't really have any problems or disadvantages of Smartsheet. It's very self explanatory to use, and overall is a good application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to have a document that is very easily sharable and collaborative, allowing for multiple people to work on the same issues, while streamlining the ability to make sure tasks are being completed as due.
Decent PM Tool If You're a Fan of GANTT Charts
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration capabilities with Smartsheet is on par with other PM tools in the market. It is a good way to list out all the specific tasks and projects for a specific client goal. We've used this exclusively at our firm before checking out other options. I have not tried out integrations or have needed to reach out to customer support, so I cannot comment on the two. One of the other features I do like is that it is easy to share views of a smartsheet with the client, so they can see the deadlines and progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little overwhelming if you are not used to working with GANTT charts. For larger projects, or projects where tasks/priorities can shift frequently, it may not be the best tool for viewing tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our firm, Smartsheet is solving the issue where tasks and progress can be centralized in one area. Prior to using Smartsheets, trying to get a sense of where individuals are in their progress with their tasks can be a time-suck. WIth Smartsheets, everyone can see the progress towards the greater goal, and importantly our pacing against the set deadlines.
User Experience after two year
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Smartsheets for the last two years. I like Smartsheet's mainly because it's very intuitive and easy to use on most functionalities. I like that I can have a master file and then just create all the reports that are useful to me and my favorite part of easyJet is the fact that i can be using it as the same time as the client.
The dashboards are also really nice to use and I have been using them the more time I spend in Smartsheets.
We were using it mainly for big programmes, but now considering using it to Project Management Practice. I use Smartsheets everyday, and it's so much easier than having 30 excels open.
I have add some meetings with the Smartsheets customer team and I love how everyone that I've encountered is really passioned about the tool and ready to help.
The dashboards are also really nice to use and I have been using them the more time I spend in Smartsheets.

What do you dislike about the product?
My main two difficulties with Smartsheets are:
- Now that i'm using the resource model, I don't find it as clean and institutive to navigate as the rest of Smartsheets. One thing I have been liking is the updates for a more cleaner look and I hope that the resource model looks cleaner in the future
- I would want to be able to chart more information. It feels like I have to go to chatGPT to find a way to chart the relevant data, and in reality when I have reports that can group by a value and then subgroup by another value, I would like that the graphic part of the dashboards would pick that up so my graphics are easier to create and to reflect the necessary information.
- In the new update I can see the folders in the left, however not every sheet that I have show, and I can quite click it to go to every single thing.

Smartsheets it's mainly solving easy of finding the work, as I have one place for everything and the excels and trackers are not lost in emails.
And the most important part is the fact that I work with the client so we can work on files at the same time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to assign a work to a colleague and follow up on the progress.

Very useful piece of software for anything you can think of.
What do you like best about the product?
For me it's the automations, being able to create them to send emails at specific times, or when specific criteria are met. I use it for production planning and being able to get reminders when we need to get material in is fantastic, the automations are so easy to set up that I've created a full, detailed plan in roughly 2 weeks with no knowledge of smartsheet. The plan is used daily and the automations run flawlessly every day. I've had no reason to contact customer support as the smartsheet community is brilliant, any problem i've had i've been able to find help for on there and find an easy to implement solution. As it's all online and hyperlinks can be shared easily, the dashboard we use was a doddle to implement to a TV screen downstairs allowing real time viewing of our capacity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only gripe I have is the lack of some basic features such as outlining cell borders, however this is a very minor detail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A problem we had was a lack of visibility of our capacity, meaning our salespeople didn't know if they could assign more work to our site, smartsheet has eliminated this as they can have a look at the dashboard and see our capacity.
Versatile system that helps automate many different business processes.
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very flexible system that can be used in many different ways, and therefore support many business processes - for example serving as a 'system of record' for people and resources, digital and physical assets, tasking, CRM data, project plans and budgets etc. The great thing is that once in place as such a system Smartsheet supports the automation of business processes around the core data, such as HR, management and project reporting, without needing to know how to write code. It also has excellent support for including collaborators such as clients, suppliers and partners who are external to our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has quite a steep learning curve, and has some 'quirky' aspects (or some basic features missing or not yet developed) that means having to build workarounds which can make things a little more complex. It's also slightly less flexible on the 'cosmetic' side in terms of look and feel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acting as a System of Record for employee data, physical assets and CRM data. Providing a central point for information sharing with clients, partners and suppliers - for example where our inter-company processes meet, but where different IT systems create a barrier. Acting as a platform for all of our project planning and project budgeting, as well as team tasking and performance management. The benefits we obtain from using smartsheet is 'system consolidation' (or prevention of the opposite which is system proliferation) meaning that the cost of our support systems is kept down, and we limit the number of different places to perform IT-related configuration and development.
Easy-to-use and a great tool for collaborative work
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Smartsheet regularly for over 2 years, and have administrated and configured a long list of sheets used by a number of coworkers in our organization. Smartsheet is a great tool for collaborative work, especially in terms of monitoring and logging project processes in our organization. We use sheets to monitor changes in our rather large building projects portfolio, and reports and dashboards to communicate the proces to members in our organization. The workflow automatization is especially useful for us, as it allows us to automate a list of administrative tasks, such as logging changes and communicating these changes to relevant members. Moreover, the collaborative aspects of Smartsheet is of great use when prioritizing projects, as it allows members to register new projects via forms, and portfolio managers and executives to prioritize projects based on inputs. The dashboard allows us to have a real-time overview of KPI's of our portfolio, and communicate these with user-friendly visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is great on its own, it offers limited posibilites in terms of data intake. For example, we have found it almost impossible to automate data intake in Smartsheet from Google Forms or databases, without a hefty cost from buying extensions such as Data Shuttle. Moreover, while the forms available via Smartsheet are useful, they lack certain features. Especially the possibility to add tables limits its use in terms of collecting budgeting data, which have resulted in us using Excel as an alternative, resulting in us having to use external platforms to get the full use of Smartsheet.

User friendly PM tool, like the collaboration features
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use, especially compared to Excel for project management. The interface feels familiar but offers more project-focused tools. I also appreciate the collaboration features—it’s great for sharing sheets, tracking updates, and working with my team in real time. Plus, the community pages are a helpful resource when I have questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something I dislike is editing dates outside of dependencies. When dependencies are enabled, Smartsheet sometimes shifts dates automatically, making it difficult to manually adjust the schedule without reworking dependencies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems smartsheet solve are similar to what can be found with MS project. One item I do appreciate is the collaboration functionality and ability to leave comments among team members.
Smartsheet - Vital for Productivity
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a very effective tool for project management, especially with the notification capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching for documents within the system is a little cumbersome. It would be helpful to be able to search for documents by the creator's name.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is making it easier for us to document, track and notify for maintenance windows that we need to conduct in our production facility. These windows need to be coordinated between multiple groups within the company, which this allows us to do with ease.
