Sophisticated version of excel
What do you like best about the product?
All the different functions and things you can do with Smartsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not very intuitive and user friendly. The learning curve is pretty steep with Smartsheet, and the easiest way to learn about the different functionalities is to see what other people have done and ask them how they did it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet for the purpose of project management. Smartsheet helps me keep everything organized and consolidated in one place while also fostering collaboration between different teams.
Instinctive, cooperative software
What do you like best about the product?
I utilize Smartsheet to efficiently generate and modify Gantt charts for different phases of design and construction. The UI is user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. As a small enterprise, we consider Smartsheet to be adaptable to our requirements, and we regard the Pro edition pricing plan as one of the most competitive available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Utilizing the full functionalities of Smartsheet entails a learning curve; nonetheless, it is relatively straightforward for basic project management.

Smartsheet enables us to anticipate potential scheduling concerns and facilitates straightforward modifications as projects advance.
Easy Project Management with Great Features
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use and great for tracking projects, automating tasks, and working with teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can be tricky for new users, and the mobile experience could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps organize projects, track tasks and automate workflows.
I believe Smartsheet is a great tool for the purpose of my business.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to edit a specific row. I also like being able to transfer rows easily from workspace to another. I have not needed to contact support, but do appreciate email updates on tools in Smartsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
When filling out 30-40 different columns, navigating horizontally can sometimes be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to manage many different accounts/ proposals that are outgoing. I am able to send accepted accounts directly to another workspace where I am able to continue tracking until invoice complete. I am also able to attach colleagues who are a part of the specific account. We are also able to track how much money each service is being charged for which is helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to use for every one, but also has the capability for advanced automation for those who need to utilize those features. There are also a lot of trainings available for learning how to use smartsheet and level up on your automation skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind, everything works great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves a lot of my manual HR work, makes it easier to keep managers accountable for items I need from them, and makes it hands-off for processes after they are automated in a sheet and report.
Easy & Quick to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an extremely user friendly application, with tons of great features that it's usage a breeze. My favorite features are the conditional formatting and the automations. I use Smartsheet every day, and being able to get automatic updates when something is changed, or needs to be addressed is extremely helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, I don't really have any problems or disadvantages of Smartsheet. It's very self explanatory to use, and overall is a good application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to have a document that is very easily sharable and collaborative, allowing for multiple people to work on the same issues, while streamlining the ability to make sure tasks are being completed as due.
Decent PM Tool If You're a Fan of GANTT Charts
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration capabilities with Smartsheet is on par with other PM tools in the market. It is a good way to list out all the specific tasks and projects for a specific client goal. We've used this exclusively at our firm before checking out other options. I have not tried out integrations or have needed to reach out to customer support, so I cannot comment on the two. One of the other features I do like is that it is easy to share views of a smartsheet with the client, so they can see the deadlines and progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little overwhelming if you are not used to working with GANTT charts. For larger projects, or projects where tasks/priorities can shift frequently, it may not be the best tool for viewing tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our firm, Smartsheet is solving the issue where tasks and progress can be centralized in one area. Prior to using Smartsheets, trying to get a sense of where individuals are in their progress with their tasks can be a time-suck. WIth Smartsheets, everyone can see the progress towards the greater goal, and importantly our pacing against the set deadlines.
User Experience after two year
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Smartsheets for the last two years. I like Smartsheet's mainly because it's very intuitive and easy to use on most functionalities. I like that I can have a master file and then just create all the reports that are useful to me and my favorite part of easyJet is the fact that i can be using it as the same time as the client.
The dashboards are also really nice to use and I have been using them the more time I spend in Smartsheets.
We were using it mainly for big programmes, but now considering using it to Project Management Practice. I use Smartsheets everyday, and it's so much easier than having 30 excels open.
I have add some meetings with the Smartsheets customer team and I love how everyone that I've encountered is really passioned about the tool and ready to help.
The dashboards are also really nice to use and I have been using them the more time I spend in Smartsheets.

My main two difficulties with Smartsheets are:
- Now that i'm using the resource model, I don't find it as clean and institutive to navigate as the rest of Smartsheets. One thing I have been liking is the updates for a more cleaner look and I hope that the resource model looks cleaner in the future
- I would want to be able to chart more information. It feels like I have to go to chatGPT to find a way to chart the relevant data, and in reality when I have reports that can group by a value and then subgroup by another value, I would like that the graphic part of the dashboards would pick that up so my graphics are easier to create and to reflect the necessary information.
- In the new update I can see the folders in the left, however not every sheet that I have show, and I can quite click it to go to every single thing.

Smartsheets it's mainly solving easy of finding the work, as I have one place for everything and the excels and trackers are not lost in emails.
And the most important part is the fact that I work with the client so we can work on files at the same time.

Easy to assign a work to a colleague and follow up on the progress.

Very useful piece of software for anything you can think of.
What do you like best about the product?
For me it's the automations, being able to create them to send emails at specific times, or when specific criteria are met. I use it for production planning and being able to get reminders when we need to get material in is fantastic, the automations are so easy to set up that I've created a full, detailed plan in roughly 2 weeks with no knowledge of smartsheet. The plan is used daily and the automations run flawlessly every day. I've had no reason to contact customer support as the smartsheet community is brilliant, any problem i've had i've been able to find help for on there and find an easy to implement solution. As it's all online and hyperlinks can be shared easily, the dashboard we use was a doddle to implement to a TV screen downstairs allowing real time viewing of our capacity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only gripe I have is the lack of some basic features such as outlining cell borders, however this is a very minor detail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A problem we had was a lack of visibility of our capacity, meaning our salespeople didn't know if they could assign more work to our site, smartsheet has eliminated this as they can have a look at the dashboard and see our capacity.
