Does a lot for you
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of the backend work is done for you. i.e. the dates will slot into the right times if you make one change. User friendly! Simple to use, the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
Constant log in issues across our department - in comparasion to other software we use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps from an organisational perspective because it's super easy to understand. It helps internally and externally for project collaboration because any user can be shared into this easily. It is trackable, with all the info in one place. It doesn't make comprehensive detail look messy or difficult to digest. This helps us a million times over.
Brilliant functionality, slightly less impressive UX
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet's 'predecessor' tool is brilliant and extremely multifunctional, particularly the option to use the 'Finish to Start days' function
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that the interface is a little outdated. Column and row selection & moving can feel a little intensive for something that should be very simple
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet enables us to manage multiple stages of one project simultaneously, and prioritse things that have a direct consequence on the timeline of another.
Great Platform to Keep Organized
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who uses Smartsheet to manage 7 businesses, it's been an instrumental in keep tasks lists organized and teams working on critical path projects. I most certainly am not using the system to it's full potential, but even so the value has been amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frankly, I cannot realistically think of must of a downside. The only item I might mention is that from time-to-time pages do load a bit slowly but that is a pretty minor issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had historically operated our business portfolio using a number of spreadsheets to track tasks and keep them organized. Smartsheet allows us to have one source of information that is accessible & easily updated by any members of our team. Additionally, the ability & functionality to access it via a smartphone app is a huge advantage compared to spreadsheets.
Love it for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very helpful as a project manager, I am able to create a project within smartsheet that my technicians and the customer can see with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not initiative, there is a learning curve when you start using smartsheet which may turn users away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows you display and track a project easier than excel but also allows you to do more than excel without any complicated formulas.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is incredibly user-friendly, allowing you to start tracking tasks immediately. The intuitive interface makes it easy to learn as you go. Adding team members to the sheet is a breeze, significantly enhancing organization and ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities and deadlines. This tool is a fantastic asset for individuals and project managers, helping streamline workflows and improve productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, Smartsheet does have some limitations when it comes to managing highly complex projects with interdependencies. The parent-child structure format can be challenging to manage due to a lack of formatting flexibility. Additionally, projects that span long periods of time can also be difficult to handle within Smartsheet.

Easy and convenient to use
What do you like best about the product?
That it can be shared with colleagues and we can all work in the document.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not discovered the downside as of yet.

Instead of me having to do several reports to send to different individuals, we can all access and edit the information.

A Great Overall Product for Program Management Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
The basic functions of Smartsheet are intuitive, so even new users with limited experience can create meaningful tools to aid in the project management process. The product allows you to start with a wide array of templates or from scratch, and the automation can be a massive time saver. Our business uses Smartsheet daily to help track our programs and ensure collaboration and transparency across work groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is expensive, and its pricing model means you must pay extra for features other PM software tools include. It also requires you to maintain a certain number of seats to utilize the business plan. Most of the product's support is provided through the community, and it can be difficult to interact with their actual support. There is also room for improvement on the automation side. The system is complex to replicate across sheets or work groups, and the basic functionality leaves something to be desired.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping our team with collaboration, transparency, and program management. The main benefit is that it provides a common operating picture across the organization and allows us to easily track tasks and automate routine work.
Making Dashboards is Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I found Smartsheet to be an asset for project planning and making project plan dashboards. The ability to do summary formulas is one of the features that makes dashboards easy to implement. The help is actually helpful and details how to use the software. Importing and exporting from Smartsheet is also vry easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the formulas within Smartsheet would mimic Excel closer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet enables our team to standup Project Dashboards in record time. They looked very professional and upper management found the information useful. Collaboration on the project plan itself was also very simple.
User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Samrtsheet is very user friendly and easily allows sharing amongst collegues. I use it on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't come across any downsidesas of yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much easier to use for me than Excel.
