What do you like best about the product?
The best think I like in Smartsheet is the automations and how it facilitate the work management flow

All Editors will have to get a lisence to be able of editing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing sending emails and all notification are received in no time. Also the reports and dashboard are very useful to clarify infos
Positive one, working as guest with Smartsheet is a nice adventure.

Smartsheet is great for project management. The visual output far exceeds Excel.

The visual outputs enable me to make sleek schedules/checklists for use in presentations.

There are only a few color codes offered for checklists. I'd like more customization options.

It has a very intuitive platform for creating Gantt charts.
A Project Manager's Best Friend
What do you like best about the product?
There are a number of things I really like about Smartsheets. One of the most important features to my team is it's timeline management capabilities. We manage all of our client and internal project timelines through Smartsheets and one of our favorite features related to timelines is the dependencies which allow us to handle our flexible and often fluid schedules with ease. We also use smartsheets to manage our client billing. It makes it very easy for us to track billable hours through it's formula features. I love how it's similar to excel so there's not a huge learning curve as well. But it's also so much more powerful with much better collaboration features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a ton I dislike about Smartsheet but if I had to pick something, I would say the visual presentation is a bit lacking. Working in advertising, we pride ourselves on how things look, especially anything we're putting in front of a client. The SS interface doesn't allow for a lot of flexibility in design of spreadsheets which can make creating visually appealing timelines difficult for us. We often find ourselves exporting the sheets and reworking them in other tools to make them more visually appealing for client presentations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problem SS is solving for our agency is making sense of the chaos of all of our timelines. It's great to be able to set up a template that everyone uses for timelines and have them all in one centralized place so we can easily toggle between then when working to manage resources within the agency. This has improved our time management and our overall project delivery. It also does a great job with the complexity of our budget tracking and billing. It's great to be able to track both our billing and timelines in the same place which we were not able to do previously.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a great mix of excel with MS project. It allows for more features that either product offer in a single platform. It allows users to easily make and automate process on their own
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet lacks enterprise management features and their recent price change increased costs 300% which is not great for organizations who are trying to plan.

We needed a platform to get all project sechedules in one place and have a holistic view across our portfolio

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing us to have a central single source of truth where all our projects and actions are managed centrally and the creation of a simple report brings everything together into one view from different work spaces. It is also help with automating some of our client report and the dashboards are right on Smartsheet and are updated as the sheets are updated.

What do you like best about the product?
For those who have used MS excel, it should be easy to utilize this software without special instructions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is diffucult to say something about points I dislike about Smartsheet since I don't have any complains so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Progress in a lot of projects which are managed by several PMs can be shared with them only be accessing Smartsheet.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet's data collection is very useful in collecting survey information from users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheets dashboards are limited in what you can add. The UI needs more visualization to make data digestable for the end user.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a cross between MS Excel and MS Project. It makes it very easy for a novice to build out a project plan. There are tons of templates. I love the drag and drop feature to move tasks around. The pricing is very attractive, you only license for users who create content. A previous employer, we had 8 PM's and 30 consultants. we only had to license the PM's. I have used it to automatically send out emails based upon info in certain cells. The automation is pretty powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
One item I miss is the option to use a work effort in each task. There is a duration, say the task will take 5 days to complete. But the actual work effort is much lower, like 6 hours of work, which isn't easy to capture.

It is a great tool to have multiple people collaborating on the same project.
