Smartsheets in Banking
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is easy to use. It is set up the same as Excel, which we are all very familar with and the functions that are provided. Implementation was also easy. Giving that we were using Excel before, beginning to use Smartsheets was very easy and the whole team got acclimated quickly. We love the attachment and proof features as before we had information in Excel and documents in a shared folder. This brings everything together. It also integrates well with our current procedures and we hardly had to make any changes except simplifing it. We have heavy use of SmartSheets, using it for a range of our products and tracking customers as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one drawback we have is changes to cells not happening in real time for all users in the same sheet. We moved from Excel using OneDrive where all teammembers could see each others activity at the same time. The workaround for this is just saying "Hey, I'm in line" whatever but given that Excel can do it fairly easily it would be nice if Smartsheets could do the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest problem that drew us to Smartsheet is the ability to attach documents to lines. This ability took out a whole step for us where we no longer log data into cells and save the documents in a folder. We now can upload these forms right into Smartsheet for easy retrieval.
Great cross collaboration tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
It's clear interface, multi-view works well
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had incidents where a date column disappeared for no apparent reason, we needed to get it fixed, which we did by the helpline, but it set us back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a clear centralised place for keeping a project plan on track, plus the option for clients to be part of the journey.

the least helpful piece for smartsheets is the inability to interact with the giant view for setting relations and the lack of tutorials

Smartsheet is very flexible as well as easy to use and powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use, much like a spreadsheet but is also very powerful. The ability to link tasks to other projects makes integration across product lines and workflows so much easier. Creating Reports and Dashboards makes tasks more visual and clear, helping to set priorities and be proactive. We drive our daily activities and priority based on being able to see everything we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions should be easier, like many of the others. Some formulas are more complex than the need to be I think.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet gives us the visibility to see what tasks are needed when. We can change quickly and adjust priorities, make better decisions and allocate resources better. It also allows us to reach out to areas needing more help or guidance.
Great Solution for Project Planning
What do you like best about the product?
The easy way to maintain several planning sheet at the same time and organized, and how is it easy to use. We use it day by day for our different development teams planning, and also we provide our clients with small project plans generated with this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when a planning file has come for too long you have to side scroll all your way in the current date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The easy way to change things around give us flexibility to adapt project plans to the always changing agile world.

I love the conditional formatting feature. It's very easy to use and very visually helpful in practice.

The inability to edit the primary column.

Daily Smartsheet User
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an incredible tool with a lot of depth and easy to use automation. The first time I saw and interacted with Smartsheet was in 2024, and after a year of use, I can make it automate and perform operations which are extremley user friendly and productive to my process. Smartsheets is used daily, so definitly a high frequency of use, and building new sheets and process to roll out to new departments makes the ease of integration and implemntation easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet unlike excel does not have the same amount of data storage or formula capabilities. It seems to be an "easier more user friendly" version of excel, but some operations are definitly lost in that ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows multiple users to simultaneously edit, create and manipulate information, whether that is an ongoing project, daily tasks, or a work flow.
