Great Solution for Project Planning
What do you like best about the product?
The easy way to maintain several planning sheet at the same time and organized, and how is it easy to use. We use it day by day for our different development teams planning, and also we provide our clients with small project plans generated with this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when a planning file has come for too long you have to side scroll all your way in the current date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The easy way to change things around give us flexibility to adapt project plans to the always changing agile world.

I love the conditional formatting feature. It's very easy to use and very visually helpful in practice.

The inability to edit the primary column.

Daily Smartsheet User
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an incredible tool with a lot of depth and easy to use automation. The first time I saw and interacted with Smartsheet was in 2024, and after a year of use, I can make it automate and perform operations which are extremley user friendly and productive to my process. Smartsheets is used daily, so definitly a high frequency of use, and building new sheets and process to roll out to new departments makes the ease of integration and implemntation easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet unlike excel does not have the same amount of data storage or formula capabilities. It seems to be an "easier more user friendly" version of excel, but some operations are definitly lost in that ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows multiple users to simultaneously edit, create and manipulate information, whether that is an ongoing project, daily tasks, or a work flow.
Great Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
I love the functionality and ease of using Smartsheet. It is heads above Excel & Google Sheets.

Many others don't use it and don't want to create a free smartsheet account to be able to view sheets I've created.

Tracking budgets & making easy to read and create schedules

For our company it does not automatically include everyioone. We have to email out an invitation, and it can be overlooked often

We use it for several different aspects of the job and it keeps everything well organized
Smartsheet excels for specific tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
In my experience, Smartsheet has been excellent for two primary use cases: i) timelines and ii) highly collaborative sheets. While I may be ignorant to other use cases, I find these are two areas where Smartsheet far outshines any comparable products (e.g., Excel, Sheets, etc.). It is easy to create clear and concise timelines and it is also great for collaborating with other users on multi-faceted projects in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
As mentioned in my other comment, it may be as a result of my ignorance, BUT I use Smartsheet rather infrequently and for very specific use cases. It works fantastic in these situations, but is far from being my go-to. I find myself defaulting to other products, and only use Smartsheet when absolutely necessary, probably because I am just more used to and more well versed in other products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing multi-stakeholder projects, setting clear individual-level tasks / objectives, outlining detailed timelines and more in a simpler, more user-friendly setting than comparable products.
Very Solid Project Management software
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has capabilities to show project plans in grid view, Gantt view (our favorite) and multiple other views such as Card View. It allows you to set deadlines, assign tasks, and share the sheet to others very easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's missing certain features that programs like Excel would have. Smartsheet has great trainings, but is missing features such as Merge and Center as well as the ability to clear formatting-if a column is a dropdown menu for example, you can't make one of the cells below that column a text cell. The whole column has to be a drop down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating project plans. This makes it easier than excel for our organization to stay on track, meet deadlines, and stay on budget.
Great user experience
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the number of features that I can incorporate for different spreadsheets that need to create. The ease of use to collaborate with collegues in live time and to share files.
What do you dislike about the product?
For what I use Smartsheet for, I really do not have anything that I can think of that I do not like.

Having all data in one place where multiple users have access and can update in live time.
