Great program for working with volunteers
What do you like best about the product?
I work with volunteers around the world. Historically, we have used Google, members did not like this format. They could never figure log in and how to access the applications. Through smartsheets they have a designated software to interact and complete volunteer assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is confusing for implementation. I have yet to understand the true ability of this software. The support is ok but for a busy professional I am not finding an easy, short training to get my to a higher level of implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gathering and keeping information from over 500 people all in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate the most is its flexibility and ease of collaboration. The platform makes it simple to manage complex projects, track progress, and work seamlessly with teams. The automation features help streamline repetitive tasks, saving time and reducing manual effort. Additionally, the integration options with other tools like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace are a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface, while functional, can feel a bit outdated and sometimes unintuitive. Certain features, such as advanced reporting and dashboard customization, could be made more user-friendly. Also, pricing can be a concern for smaller teams or businesses, as it may feel a bit expensive compared to some alternatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me efficiently manage complex projects by streamlining workflows, enhancing collaboration, and automating repetitive tasks. It provides real-time visibility into progress through dashboards and reports, reducing miscommunication and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Very Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful feature is the automatic cells where I can easily color code them also, the feature to make drop down and list of items in the space and link them together. The integration to import photos and attachments to each cell is indeed ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
More of a missing feature is, if we could sort the color coded cells would be an amazing feature that is missing or maybe I've missed. As the world of technology going forward is AI, I would like integration of temporary notes where I can easily assign a temporary note to a specific cell for a day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a security monitoring centre, we organize database for the alarms and daily workflows on smartsheet. It helps us keep the data organized and saved on cloud. Smartsheet makes it easy for us to access and continue to our duties on daily basis and with the multiple worksheets in a single platforms. A solution to all the work in a single platform makes the job much easier to start our day from where we left off.
Overall, it's an excellent tool for project management

It's a user-friendly platform that allows you to manage projects using pre-built templates, offering an interface similar to Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain Excel functions are not available, which can make managing large-scale projects more challenging and potentially lead to confusion if not well documented.

A lot of excels and versions of the same file and complex formulas
SmartSheets - easy to use and great for replacing manual task with automation.

We use smartsheet to automate many internal processes in the business. The simple to build automation forms and automation saves us a lot of time with what would otherwise be very manual based processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes automation emails get blocked by spam filters in the first instance. The new licensing model has taken some time to get used to and has meant a change in the way we use Smartsheets to get the best value

Smartsheet is used as our company calendar for upcoming construction projects, it allows all of our employees to plan and organize for each upcoming job.

Smartsheet: One stop shop
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an intuitive tool that doesn't require much training to understand. Many features are helpful for project management and operational support. It can be used as a ticketing system for customer support. Implementation is easy as the tool can be accessed by people without a paid license. I use it daily in my higher education work to keep me organized. I especially enjoy the calendar functions and dashboards. The ease of integration is seamless for both faculty and staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet, similar to Excel, has many nuanced formulas that can be challenging to learn. Recently, however, they added an AI feature that makes this process much easier than before. I would like to see some changes in the dashboard views that make it easy to download PDFs in a user-friendly way. Things are constantly being updated, which is impressive considering the complexity of the tool. I think assigning users roles gets confusing, but it is multi-layered purposefully to protect sensitive data. One major drawback for my company is that you cannot store personally identifiable info in it (according to my university standards), which is a significant drawback. Still, it is a great option to use for customer support cases such as requests for data or sureveys.

Smartsheet is solving customer service needs, operational efficiencies, and project management needs.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create my own dashboards, building in reports that I need and critical information to track and provide updates on actions. It's easy to organize and I can always make adjustments to meet my needs. I really enjoy the "cell history" feature and the ability to highlight changes made within a certain time period. These features save me a lot of loss data and rewoork.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formulas and linking cells are a bit complex. It takes multiple attempts to link what I need from one sheet to another. I'd like to see simplifaication of formulas, especially for users who maype have a hard time understanding all the variables required for more complex (and even in some situations, simple) formulas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a lot of information I need to track and provide reports to upper management. Smartsheet allows me to consolidate information , put it in a format I like and find useful, and share information with my project team.
It cuts down on inefficent communication time that arises from emails, IM's or trying to transfer information via a face to face.

I like that it can be used to streamline and gather information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you can only generate a document per row. I would love the option to create a document with all of the data on the sheet. I track funding/support for our PIs in the ED. I used Smart Sheet to track these changes and updates, which is great.
These other support documents have many different versions depending on the funding source. It would be an absolute game-changer to be able to generate a form from the entire sheet

Smartsheet has been great for gathering information and tracking the work that needs to be done. This tool has been a game changer for our department.
