Does what it's supposed to do but can be imporved.
What do you like best about the product?
You can make as many tabs and sheets as you want. Links to other sheets and documents can be out in the smartsheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every time I click on a new smartsheet it opens a new tab and this makes me have a ton of tabs open. The sheets are limited I wish it was more like excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps a checklist of items that the whole team can see. Manager can keep track of the projects everyone is working on.
Great solution, but support and licensing is confusing and unhelpful
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use of the tool and the ability to write reports from the master plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support is difficult and unhelpful. The Ai bot gives confusing and inaccurate information, and the stock reply from support is to send a long response with a number of links to articles, which aren't helpful. A live chat type support option would be better - and expected based on the cost of the solution.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet at work as an alternative to Formstack and Excel spreadsheet. It is a good compromise of both of these other products as it allows for attachments, comments, and a one at-a-glance location.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to use this product in replacement of Formstack as the workflow (if any) allows for a smooth branching to additional information sections or to redirect submission to others. The build for this automation is not intuitive and does not seem user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Would like to learn to use this as a project/ task management tool but set up seems difficult to customize. I am always looking for training opportunities but eh Pacific Time zone offerings doesn't seem to be available at various hours throughout the working day.

There are some really obvious things missing from the platform. Recurring tasks, automations to delete rows.
For some it can be easy to understand, but for others it doesnt seem particularly intuitive.

Very user friendly I'm able to navigate without feeling like i have no idea at what I'm doing.

its very user friendly and it doesn't take a long time to figure things out.

I don't have much that I dislike I'm learning more each day im finally confident in navigating through the site.

Its allowing us to keep track of the items we have shipped in from various of customers. The tools available allows us to keep track of all our items and part numbers for those items.

I would say that the pre-loaded templates such as a gantt chart is what I appreciate the most about Smartsheet.

I am very familiar with Excel and for some reason it causes me to struggle a bit with writing formulas in Smartsheet.

The main feature that we use Smartsheet is the checklists that we have created for our service industry business.
A supercharged spreadsheet (if you're in to that sort of thing)

Smartsheet is a very powerful spreadsheet with a lot of integration options. It unlocks functionality that other spreadsheets don't have (yet).
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet feels a little dated and sometimes overly complex. The UI needs a touchup. Spreadsheets have their place in the productivity world but they feel a little...dated. There are a lot more useful ways to interact with and visualize data and I think Smartsheet should surface those more prominently within it's UI. Think Notion or Airtable, which allow you to quickly spin up and visualize relational data in a very easy way.

We were using for project tracking. It allowed us to pull in data from other places via integrations, which was great.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the automations feature, particularly for the ability to transfer rows between sheets. As a grant writer, this really supports my ability to keep information organized by stage (pre/mid/post-application), and organize columns appropriately based on those stages. I also really appreciate the row links and comments features. Easy to use and customize with a basic understanding. Drop downs and conditional formatting are really easy and excellent, too.

I wish there was the ability to organize multiple sheets into one workbook, like excel?
