Great for Organizing Ideas
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy using Smartsheet for it's organizational features. It allows me to visualize different forms of information well, and I find it easy to filter and search. I find their customer support is helpful when I have an issue. We use it frequently for different projects and tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet definitely takes some getting used to as you learn the system. Sometimes it can be confusing where pages or folders are stored. As you learn, you become better at using Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us organize our tasks so that we are all able to visualize what our next projects are. Additionally, we use it for tracking purposes of work. This benefits our workflow greatly.

Not always knowing if a License subscriber is active.

Functionality and simplicity together
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet's table structure provides ease of use in many aspects, especially access and revision. Deploying the Smartsheet application at the beginning of projects is very easy and fast, thanks to its import features and copying features. In addition to line-based and page-based separation of comments and documents, holistic viewing opportunities make a difference compared to other applications. Working with excel formulas is very useful. It is a great advantage that more than one project or program can be reported together in reporting and dashboard features, but it is very important that the user is aware here. If projects that do not have a similar structure are reported together, this may result in very inaccurate values. Automation is very easy to use. It is useful to have different field-based functions when setting conditions for both filtering and automation. For daily use, it works with instant data and its notification mechanism is very useful. Online training and customer support are very effective. Quick turnaround is provided.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect that needs improvement is the authorization structure. It would be great if roles could be created on a Workspace basis and the authorities of these roles could be determined parametrically. Another aspect open to improvement is baseline management. It is not suitable for newly added tasks in the later stages of the project or especially for tasks whose baseline needs to be changed. It updates the entire baseline again. When you calculate summary data with more than one parameter in reporting, it is not possible to show them as a chart on the dashboard. Additional implementation or fees are required to develop pivot table capabilities. Active directory integration works well, but user email address changes could be made easier to use for large groups.

It undertakes most of the governance, reminder and information duties of the project manager.

The fact that updating smartsheet shows what needs to be done. Its like a personal diary andn otepad. It allows to analyse multiple factors.

The fact that we cannot collaborate with other staff members

We are quite big engineering team with multiple projects going simultaniously. Smartsheet provides us oportunity to follow, track and manage them smoothly

reporting is a challenge at times and the AI function to assist is a bit hit and miss

formalises request processes ensuring non-users can submit requests easily in a format that is as required and relevant to users

Level of detail / connection of documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complexity of formulas / special characters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Future planning for sample analysis tasks. The use of filters allows the team to quickly identify which samples to expect next and schedule analysts accordingly. Linking of metadata from other Smartsheets allows uniform expectations across groups and data delivery.
Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet a ton for work and there are a lot of things I really like about it. The best thing is that it has most the capabilities as excel except it has so many more practical features such as using forms to collect data and much more

There are are sometimes where it breaks a formula or a formula just stops working and I have to spend a lot of time fixing it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share data and sheet cross departmentally. Having all data kept in one place. Help with reporting. Project and task management with co-workers and personally.
New to smart sheets, but see how long term it will allow us to be more efficient and organized.
What do you like best about the product?
The integration of jobs, and allows me to create recieving from multiple locations and pins all parties invovled. This keeps us all informed at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a while to learn how navigate, create sheets, break up the jobs and customers.
