What do you like best about the product?
Form and dashboard capabilities, the ease and how intuitive it is to navigate through the platform. The AI function has helped a great deal when it comes to the formulas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reports formatting as we are unable to center headers. Also, the 20,000 rows limitation makes it a bit difficult since we have thousands of work orders on a monthly basis and so having to break up the data in separate sheets complicating also the referencing links.

Alerts that are automatically sent to users/emails.

Smartsheet helps our team stay organized
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy that our team is able to all edit our master calendar, which gives all of us visibility into what is happening when! I frequently refer to our master calendar view and adding new events is always seamless and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times the interface can be a little bit clunky and dated looking, but I do appreciate that it mirrors excel,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is hard for us to have insight into all of the teams events and communications and smart sheet makes it very simple
Flexible, Dynamic and Powerful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about SmartSheet is the ease with which I can build email automations to remind people of upcoming deliverables and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Until 2025 it was possible for non-licensed users to access and use tools in grid/list format. Now a paid license is needed for this. There are work-around - which have strengths of their own - but it is more work to adjust the tools.

Tracking work in literally dozens of facilities across a distributed region.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is beginner friendly and pretty easy to set up a basic grid, reports and even high level dashboards. While there are pieces that can get complicated if you want them to, you don't have to have a programming background to make Smartsheet work for you.
Setting up sheets is easy and customizable. You can easily add a variety of columns to make your sheets work for you. It's also pretty simple to set up workspaces and share out individual sheets, reports or entire workspaces with colleages as needed, whether they're a Smartsheet user or not.
As a monday.com super fan, I was a bit skeptical of Smartsheets at first, but quickly found myself loving the reporting options and now I use Smartsheet nearly every day.
The form options are very helpful for those who frequently receive requests from other team members or departments. They're easy to set up, customizable, and include logic options to allow you to collect the information you need in a simple, straighforward manner.
Overall, Smartsheet is a great solution to simplify workflows, view and share information and get things done.

What do you dislike about the product?
In general, Smartsheet is a great platform, but I think there is some room for improvement on some of their existing features that would make it a 10/10 for me.
First, adding hourly breakdowns for the Gantt view would be a game changer. While this may not be a need for all projects, I've often found myself wishing I could get more granular in this view.
Next, I would love move customization options on the card/board views. I'd like to be able to choose which items show and not have dictated by the layout of my grid workspace. What works best for that view isn't necessarily what works best for the board view.
Finally, I would love to see the workflows updated to support the other checkbox options, like flags. While I can get by with the checkboxes, being able to automatically flag items would often be more appropriate than the checkbox feature and I hope this will soon be supported in the automated workflows.

Information intake and organization - Smartsheet allows me to easily collect information through forms and organize it in a way that makes sense for me with sheets, reports and automated workflows.
Smartsheets for Non-Profit Program Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love the versatility and how customizable it can be.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe it should update on it's own for multi-user sheets.

It allows all of our employees to update programs in the same sheet.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, simple and customizable UX, versitile feature set, vastly superior to Excel for managing and tracking tasks and budgets.

AI integration could be improved as could built-in tutorials.

Cross team and company collaboration and project management.
Tool for collaboration with employees
What do you like best about the product?
I am using Smartsheet to create reports and I use workflows to remind my colleagues that a task is pendig their action or they need to approve/declide a workflow. I also gather data through forms (they submit results etc.), responses are then automatically saved, enabling real-time analysis and reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not so easy to write excel formulas in Smartsheet, they work a litle bit different and once a formula is created, it is difficult for me to analyze it and remember what I've done. I have also troubles using dashboards, this feature is not well developped. It is not straight forward and you cannot create nice graphs and charts based on exisitng reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of forms makes it easy to collect data and my peers' responses. The responses are automatically stored and I can have the reports ready without any effort.
A Product Managers experience with Smartsheets
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it is Excel based and somewhat inuitive to use. The flexability in creating custom templates and rules is extremely useful and I am able to share tasks with co workers seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mostly just my own knowledge of excel. I'm not a power user and some functions take me a while to grasp. I will also say that there was and may still be a glitch in the notes section where you couldnt copy and paste but it may have been fixed at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This allows my team to create custom template workflows for complex projects. It keeps everyone on the same page and working through the same process.
Collaborative Tool for project Management
What do you like best about the product?
What I most like about Smartsheet is that it’s built to be a collaborative tool. It’s easy for any member of the organization to log in and review project plans, make comments, and track action items. This really helps project managers or leaders stay on top of things. Plus, its user-friendly interface means you don’t need to have deep knowledge of the tool to use it effectively, which makes it great for the project management environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve taken the Project Management certification by Smartsheet, and even though it evaluates your project management knowledge, it’s more focused on the product itself than the broader project management environment. I believe this could create confusion for someone seeking a project management certification.
