Great options and flexibility with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Smartsheet has the flexibility to design enhanced systems to suit our unique user needs. As we are in Higher Education, we can utilise Smartsheet in many different ways to achieve a number of goals. Smartsheet integrations are also readily available and easy to access with many of our existing systems. Customer support is readily available and responds quickly with assistance. We are able to add additional team members and teach them the ropes of Smartsheet with ease. It is a flexible system that has solved a number of bottlenecks for us. Highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exploring new capabilities of Smartsheet can feel overwhelming and take some time to get comfortable with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to consolidate all program-related information in a single source of truth (via reporting and dashboards).
App well worth to connect all data and visualize
What do you like best about the product?
How you can connect all your data sources in one app to formulate what you want to get out of the app. Has many features that can be incoorporated to make your data much meaningful to share with your teams and stackholders. Easy to use once you get the hang of it with the proper training.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little challenging at the beginging when starting to learn how the app works as a beginner but will eventully get the hang of it once you get the proper trainings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enabling to integrate many data sets from multiple platforms and connecting them together to get meaningful insights.

I really like how easy it is to get used to the platform and to share timelines w/ the team.

Would love to have available the date formatting as: ddd m/d/yy
I have struggled when I need to build a timeline w/ working days from Mon-Fri, BUT, w/ exceptions where the team has weekend work (some weekends just Sat, other ones just Sun, other weekends both Sat-Sun). I know you can add exceptions adding an "e" to the duration, but then the platform doesnt let me select "only Sat", "only Sun", "both Sat-Sun".

Smartsheet has been pretty usefull to keep track of my projects and deadlines, and also to provide visibility of timing to the rest of the team.
Customizable and deep learning ceiling
What do you like best about the product?
We have processes that have been simplified and automated through Smartsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a novice with the platform, there is a sense of being overwhelmed with all the features/formulas.

Organizing our business requests through an intake form developed within Smartsheet.
Smartsheet is quick and simple to use.

its limited to the amount of data, that you can add to a smartsheet

Centralized processed that build a spirit of team work

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to nest rows inside of other rows. It makes it really easy to keep things organized. I also like that I can share spreadsheets with others very easily. The other big benefit is being about to create workflows. I can easily set up an instance to where if I mark a task complete that task moves to a different board and adds the current date. That way I have an archive of all completed work on one page but my spreadsheet that I'm working off of does not get cluttered.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is that it takes a long time for workflows to trigger. It gets confusing sometimes having to wait for teh work flow to trigger so my rows/cells can automatically move around.

It helps keep big, unruly projects organized in a simple way. It also helps me create an archive of completed work.
Good tool for Integration and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Two things that I liked most about this product is how easily one can integrate multiple things and then also allow multiple people to collaborate.
One of my favourite feature for integration is Data Shuttle - It lets us connect to our data bases data and then add/edit that data in Smartsheet without affecting anything at the source i.e. Database. Also, once these changes are done then we can easily connect all of this seamlessly to the power bi thanks to the native plugin and explore further for visualization.

What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboards would benefit from enhanced functionality, such as more feature-rich chart widgets. Right now, due to lack of that we push the data from here to Power BI for better visualization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is mainly a collaborating tool for us, as we have teams sitting in different part of the world and we have various workflows to deal with. So, this helps us in aligning and monitoring all of those processes.

The comment function should be included in Slack for easier interaction
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives an easy overview of the tasks solved within a given time frame (month, quarter, etc.). The data can be shared easily with the Leadership teams to justify our workload.
Powerful - wealth of information readily accessible
What do you like best about the product?
Once I became accustomed to the basic operations, it has been very easy to manipulate data in Smartsheet and present it in a usable manner. Being able to build custom dashboards has been a game changer. Adding workflows has also increased productivity significantly. I love learning more and more each time I use the tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
My initial learning curve was steeper than I had expected. I'm very familiar with Excel, so most basic operations were consistent. It just took a little bit to figure out how to manipulate the date and build in workflows into my processing.

Smartsheet is providing visibility into project tracking ina shared environment. It has provided us with increased control of tasks and easy report generation.
