Simple and effective
What do you like best about the product?
It is a lightweight tool to help both in effective internal management-such as project management or financial control-and effective external management, like communicating with clients, submitting forms, and consolidating data. I work with this tool daily. Working with several files is smooth, and one can link and integrate them seamlessly for data consolidation, analysis, and decision-making. Its logics and structure are somehow similar to Microsoft Excel, but much more powerful, which allows the development of much more robust solutions within its interface. The combination of simplicity and versatility turns it into a potent resource for workflow optimization and the driving of better results. Easy to use, it also has a very complete and intuitive learning platform that effectively resolves any doubt or uncertainty. This makes the tool both powerful and accessible for users at any level of proficiency: onboarding is easy, and further development of skills is possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working with many files may, however, become a bit inconvenient at times. Switching from one file to another is no big deal generally, especially when using the application on the desktop and not through a web browser. However, there were several times when things worked slower. In that respect, for sure, other benefits of using the tool typically override such slight weaknesses in all those tasks connected with data compilation and analysis that require several files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool allows you to concentrate a great deal of the company's work into one easy-to-use platform. With it, you can manage finances, track time spent on each project, and monitor the different activities a project might entail. By having this all in one place, seamless communication is fostered throughout the different members of the company, from finances, technical teams, and through management. This integration therefore smoothes the workflow, extends collaboration, and keeps everybody informed about priorities and progress.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is easy to use and that I can collaborate with my colleagues. There are different modules to use and easy to integrate with other programs I use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like it's hard to share if collaboraters are not paying users of Smartsheet.

What do you like best about the product?
Automation and integration of multiple parties.

Some funcitonality on excel is still easier than smartsheet

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful part of smartsheet is the ability to comment on line items on progress. There is a lot of opportunities for customization - takes a bit of time upfront to learn how to use, ease of use could be improved, or a bit more user friendly. Has similarities between a lot of different microsoft project/task/project live functions so its great that its not all in one app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having a loading bar that tracks percentage or a timeline bar like in Microsoft Project is the biggest thing that is lacking. Smartsheet is great for day to day management but I often feel like I am r-inventing my timeline when I need to present out on status and progress to stakeholders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to manage multiple subprojects in my overall program and identify where the critical path is.
Reliable database that is easy to create forms and edit
What do you like best about the product?
Once you know the basic buidling blocks of how to create forms there is no limit to the reports that can be driven off a master database. I use Smartsheets everyday. And, the ability for users to update information that is reflected across the spectrum of users is empowering.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is the biggest barrier to expanding our user group. Also, the ability for non-users to view is difficult sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assiging responsibily and ownership of key data down to one user/location simplifies our process. Mutliple reports and graphs can then be generated for individual users. Not sure how AI will impact Smartsheets?

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of smartsheet is the dashbored. I think it is the feature where it helps centuralize all information where everyone can access. I also like the feasture where one you finish a task the system can archive your task. The workflow are really helpful as well. I also like how there many different features in on centeral website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheets can be a learning curve. It can be hard to learn sheets and the fuctions.

We use Smartsheet to track tasks completed by several departments and to communicate information across departments.

The project dashboards and task tracker functions are great for streamlining our project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no easy way to co-work on projects in smartsheets with another person without having to constantly refresh the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of tasks, reporting on progress and task dependencies, developing realistic timelines for projects and tasks to be completed.
Great Tool that Can Sometimes Overwhelm
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility and the amount of features. I am always suprised (in a good way) about how much one can do with the tool. I also really like how many different views are possible and available so you can adjust or create a specific dashboard for internal use and then utilize a different view for a customer that looks really professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find it overwhelming and not super user friendly. There are SO many features and ways to use it that I don't always know where or how to start. And because there are so many options it's not super easy to remember how to do something so I find myself having to google almost every time I need to make a new sheet to remember how I did the last one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage projects so Smartsheet helps me project manage my projects for both an internal and external audience and stay on task for deliverables and due dates.
