Fantastic organisation, planning and management tool for a large, multifaceted organisation.
What do you like best about the product?
One of the key benifits of smartsheet is the ability to link multiple sheets and reports to semi-automated processes and improve workflow with live documents. As well as the abillity to setup forms and manage large databases of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a number of features which could be more intuative and the ability to customise and be flexible in comparison to other spreadsheet programs is limited. There are a lot of limitation specifically around how sheets/reports can be exported which can occasionally make formation messy on documents which need to be exported and distributed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating complex project management timlines to a large number of staff accross multiple departments. Has improved communication between departments and visability of eachothers workflow to prevent bottle necks and missed deadlines.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the filtering capabilities, different views and pick-list dropdowns for different values. Smartsheet also makes it easy to assign folks to certain tasks.

Steep learning curve to understand how to leverage all features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it easy to track tasks, organize them and assign them. Very easy to add comments to tasks as well. Additionally, it allows for multiple views of a large list of tasks so you can easily see what you want.

It is easy to use, customizable, with great features such as automation tools.

Lack of merging cells and some limitation for not enterprise users.

A Program Managers Best Friend!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has made such a difference in helping me manage all of my programs in one place. The ability to list out subtasks easily and assign them to specific people within our orgnaization is a game changer. One of my top used features is the form integration that allows me to setup a public form to gather information, and as the form gets filled out, the data is filtered into the backend where I can easily see it in a format that is easy to digest and allows me to quickly take the information and export it as I need. I use Smartsheet on a daily basis and appreciate the automation features that I can setup to remind me to complete certain tasks or update certain forms on a regular basis whether it be for my weekly report to updating our monthly dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only wish for Smartsheet is that I would have a similar function to 'Merge Cells' as their is in excel. I have found a few instances where the ability to merge two cells together would be very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has been a huge help with allowing us to tag and mention people in one sheet and send reminders for tasks, minimizing the amount of emails I need to send and the new for different platforms to create forms and manually uploading the data somewhere else to ensure accessiblity for everyone.
Can't imagine project management without Smartsheet!
What do you like best about the product?
It's an excellent tool for project management and and thirves in areas that Excel can't - due dates, assigned tasks, drag and dropping when thigns are complete.. once you use it, it's hard to go without.

It isn't as intuitive as Excel for complex formulas

A central location for managing project tasks, accessible by all users with easy-to-use assignments, due dates, and drop-downs to track project and tasks statuses

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Smartsheet is how it combines the simplicity of a spreadsheet with powerful project management tools like Gantt charts. The Gantt charts are easy to edit and understand, which makes tracking timelines and dependencies easy. It’s also great for collaboration since my team can assign tasks, share real-time updates, and leave comments directly on specific item. The automation features are a huge plus, taking care of repetitive stuff like reminders and updates so we can focus on more important tasks. Overall, it’s flexible, user-friendly, and makes managing projects a lot less stressful. It makes it really easy to focus on the gamechainging items and to create new schedules when a deep dive is needed. Our clients like the customer dashboard feature and this contributes to winning projects.
I was not part of the build out of our system but the results look great and it has been easy to implement from a small teams perspective.
I have never had to reach out to customer support but I would know to search google to find out how.

What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how it can be hard to interface with excel at an impromptu situation. I know it can be done if some prior thought is given.

itemizing, finding the high priority tasks and balancing work load. giving visibility of what I am doing to my team so I know my efforts are visible. giving visibility to the client so we can stay aligned and they can have as much data as they want.
An easy to use project management system and repository for project collateral.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is cloud based and that team members can use it by setting up a free accouint. I have been using it regularly for almost 15 years. and it is easy to use. It has many integrations that I have not had the occasion to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really thinkk of any downsides. it is so helpful but that isn't a downside.

One of the best things about Smartsheet is that it’s very easy to use. If you are already familiar with Excel or Google Sheets, Smartsheet will feel familiar as well. But you can also create timelines, track who’s doing what, and set up reminders for deadlines.

Smartsheet is powerful but a bit expensive, especially for smaller teams or individuals.

You will have a clear visibility of your projects, and you will save your time and improve efficiency.
